The study aimed to identify the role of Prince Sattam University as a model in the development of the social mobility of Saudi women and to reveal the effect of some variables (the scientific specialization of the residence class) for the role of Prince Sattam University as a model in the social mobility of female students. (48) divided into four main dimensions of social mobility, and was selected a random sample consisting of (200) students from the University of Prince Sattam. The study found that the University of Prince Sattam as a role model in achieving social mobility with a mean average of 4.30, a standard deviation of 0.98, a verbal assessment (strongly agree), economic mobility with an average of 4.43, a standard deviation of 0.89, ), Cultural mobility at an average of 3.75, a standard deviation of 0.83, a verbal estimate of (I agree), political mobility at an average of 3.93, a standard deviation of 0.90, a verbal assessment of students The study showed that there is no difference in the responses of female students due to the variable (specialization of the academic class in residence) in all the social mobility. The study also presented a model from the point of view of the students to activate the role of the university in helping students develop their social mobility. The role of the university in developing the social mobility of its students, and urging students to participate in political, cultural, economic and social, and the importance of the role of the university in introducing students to the importance of social mobility

Purpose Product verification and validation are integral to quality management. Product verification means verifying the conformity between a product’s actual and planned characteristics whereas validation means determining whether and to what extent it satisfies customers’ requirements. One of the key forms of product validation is testing with a group of customers. The purpose of this paper is to introduce a graphical method of product validation based on the Kano model. Design/methodology/approach The approach is based on a proposed method for categorising requirements based on a Kano questionnaire and then applies this method for the validation of a product – a website. The proposed method is based on three steps: graphical determination of requirements in a Kano model; determination of requirement fulfilment degree and prioritisation of corrective measures and improvements. Findings The study opens space for discussion of the potential for improving a product and methods for identifying critical faults in products. The proposed method also permits an assessment of the potential effectiveness of an improvement because it is able to quantify the effect of the product on the consumer resulting from a given quantity of effort. A case study demonstrated that the resulting priority of corrective measures and improvements was affected not only by the level of fulfilment of the requirements but also by the type, the most critical being non-fulfilment of must-be requirements. Research limitations/implications The requirement curves are based on a verbal assessment of satisfaction in two states – if the requirement were fulfilled and if it were not fulfilled. The values of the start and end points may not be precise and could be affected by the natural character of subjective variables. Practical implications The proposed method is particularly suited to the initial testing of a product that is intended to lead to measures to eliminate customer dissatisfaction or increase their satisfaction – that is, to improve the product. The method also permits an assessment of the extent to which customers feel that their expectations have been satisfied and the effect that will be felt if the organisation decides to increase fulfilment. Originality/value The Kano model has not yet been applied to product validation, although it contains all the information necessary for this task. Knowing how satisfied customers are is an important part of product validation. At the same time, knowing a mechanism for “creating” this satisfaction is also very valuable information.

NURSING INTERVENTION REGARDING THE LEVEL OF KNOWLEDGE OF THE PATIENT IN POSTSURGICAL CAREABSTRACTObjective: To evaluate a nursing intervention regarding the level of knowledge of the patients in postsurgical care in a hospital of level 2 of complexity. Materials and Methods: Project of care management using as a methodological reference the adapted logical framework, a conceptual -theoretical- empirical structure was formulated for the research that articulated the concepts of Roy’s adaptation model, education of the Mishel uncertainty of illness theory and empirical indicators were formulated from the diagnoses, classification of results, and nursing interventions to resolve the problem of practice. The sample was made of 101 adult patients, with surgical risk I y II that were surgically intervened and remained hospitalized. The instruments applied for the collection of pre and post intervention were a verbal assessment of the feelings about the surgery and an evaluation of knowledge about postsurgical care. The intervention included personalized education, video projections and explanation with brochures. Results: the use of intervention allowed the results to improve with relation to the level of knowledge in activity, diet, care of the wound and the signs and symptoms of infection, going from an initial level of knowledge null or low (1,2) to a substantial or extensive level (4 or 5), according to this scale of results.  Conclusion: the educative intervention is effective for the improvement of knowledge of the patients with relation to the postsurgical care, as well as patients that give a positive significance to the surgery and describe it as an opportunity. This study highlights the use of disciplinary knowledge in the practice of nursing.KEYWORDS: health education, nursing, pre-post-operative nursing, theory of nursing.INTERVENÇÃO DE ENFERMAGEM SOBRE O NÍVEL DE CONHECIMENTOS DO PACIENTE EM CUIDADOS PÓS-CIRÚRGICOSRESUMOObjetivo: Avaliar uma intervenção de enfermagem sobre o nível de conhecimentos dos pacientes sobre os cuidados pós-cirúrgicos num hospital de II nível de complexidade. Background: Digital nerve block is associated with pain. In a search for methods to reduce the discomfort, we investigated how the volume of anaesthetic fluid influences pain during subcutaneous digital nerve block, and how it affects the success of the anaesthesia. Methods: A randomized blinded prospective study was performed on 36 healthy volunteers. The single injection subcutaneous digital block technique was used to anaesthetize the participants´ 4th digit on both hands. The same amount of lidocaine was used, but in two different volumes; 1 ml 2% lidocaine and 2ml 1% lidocaine. After each injection the participant was asked to estimate pain intensity on a visual analogue scale (VAS). The distribution of anaesthesia was then measured by using a Semmes-Weinstein 4.56 monofilament. Finally, participants gave a verbal assessment of which injection was least painful. Results: In total, 72 blocks were performed. There were no statistically significant differences in pain intensity or preference between the two groups. Furthermore, the 1 ml injection gave poorer anaesthesia and had longer time to onset. Neither injection anaesthetized the dorsal aspect of the proximal phalanx. Conclusions: The two volumes cause the same degree of discomfort. Greater volume gives a greater area of distribution and more rapid onset of anaesthesia. It seems unreasonable to use a smaller volume of more concentrated anaesthetic when performing the subcutaneous technique.
