Research on the Role of Big Data Technology in the Reform of English Teaching in Universities

This paper provides an in-depth understanding and analysis of the reform of English teaching in colleges and universities by analyzing the role of big data technology for the reform through in-depth research and analysis. Based on the background of the era of education informatization, this study explores the transformative value of the integration of information technology and teaching activities and elaborates the relevant significance at the theoretical and practical levels. Based on this, the research method of this study is established. The realm of integration of information technology and teaching activities and its transformative value is taken as the focus of the study. The integration of information technology and teaching activities means that it is not only a simple superposition between information technology and teaching but also a process to explore the role and influence of information technology into teaching activities by deeply exploring the inner connection between the two, to complete the integration of information technology and teaching activities, and finally to realize the comprehensive development of student’s personality.

Development of Tolerance in University Students during Second Language Acquisition

The present research tested various technologies of pedagogical support of tolerance development in students of a technical university during foreign language acquisition. The paper reviews scientific approaches to the essence of tolerance and introduces the stages of its formation, the definitions of pedagogical technology and teaching technology, etc. The author focused on teaching a foreign language in a non-linguistic university and proved that the choice of forms, methods, and technologies depends on a number of circumstances. The research revealed substantive characteristics of tolerance in students and the positive effect of second language acquisition on the parameters of tolerance. The changes in the content characteristics of tolerance were registered on the basis of the corresponding indicators. The study made it possible to determine the effectiveness of the classroom and extracurricular conditions that contribute to the development of tolerance in students of technical universities.

Formation of Communicative and Linguocultural Consciousness Based on the Film Text: Linguosynergetic Approach

The article describes the experience of work at the Children's University of the Don State Technical University, where the author's program for the development of oral and written speech is being implemented. Fragments of lessons conducted using the technology of a pedagogical workshop are presented; a set of exercises that contribute to the formation of communicative and linguocultural consciousness when working with non-traditional means - a film text and a linguocultural diary. The linguosynergetic approach, chosen as the leading one, allows considering the model of linguistic comprehension of the language, taking into account the possibilities of the interconnected work of the human brain, nonlinearity in speech activity. It is concluded that the selected technology and teaching aids contribute to the activation of the speech-thinking activity of students.

Research on Teaching Reform of Architectural Engineering Drawing Based on BIM Technology

The course of architectural engineering drawing is the basic course before the students of civil engineering related majors study the professional courses. It aims to cultivate the students' ability of configuration, expression, reading and drawing. BIM Technology simulates the real component information of a building through digital information simulation, and flexibly transforms between two-dimensional and three-dimensional, providing a new tool for the teaching of architectural engineering drawing. This paper analyzes the characteristics of BIM Technology and teaching advantages, combined with the current teaching situation of architectural engineering drawing course, puts forward reform suggestions and implementation process, and provides reform ideas for the teaching of engineering basic courses.
