The navigation information about a vessel’s position in the waters covered by the vessel traffic system operation is obtained through supervisory services, mainly from coastal navigation radars. Although today it is possible to simultaneously acquire data from many independent radars, the obtained radar image is inconsistent and consists of several echoes next to each other. This makes it difficult to establish which echo represents the monitored unit. Another problem is the method of determining radar distances, which significantly affect the quality of determining the observation position. Errors in radar distance may occur when determining the radar echoes from large vessels, where the position of the unit is not the same as the edge of the radar echo to which the observation is made. In this article, the authors present a method of improving the measured radar distance. The presented proposal was verified in navigation and maneuvering simulation conditions. It could support the process of determining the ship position in vessel traffic service (VTS) systems with increased accuracy.

This research aim was to analized the development disparities in Bengkulu Province, and the position change of 3 parent districts. The analysis method used descriptive anylisis with Klassen Typology and Williamson Index (WI), and used data from BPS Bengkulu Province publication (2002-2016). The result show WI for 2002, 2007 and 2016 in a row amount to 0,34; 0,40 and 0,37; which mean that the area expantion may cause the development disparities more equal or not. In the years of observation, position of 3 parent disticts always changing in the regional stucture of Bengkulu Province. It may caused of the dinamic development of the district, both parent and new districts.   Keywords :  Development Disparities 1, Area Expansion 2, Klassen Typology 3, Williamson Index 4

Air entrapment defects prevent the heat treatment from improving the mechanical properties of die castings, which limits the die casting of high-performance components. The flow pattern of the filling process is complicated and experimental analysis is difficult in thin-walled complex die castings. In this study, we constructed a shock absorption tower to observe in real-time the filling process of pure aluminum and A380 aluminum alloy at different fast injection speeds. The degree of breakup of pure aluminum was larger than that of A380 during the filling process, which caused the porosity of pure aluminum to be greater than that of the A380 at each observation position. Re-Oh diagrams explained the difference in porosity between the two metals. The porosity in different regions was closely related to the flow state of aluminum liquid. In addition to porosity measurements, we specifically analyzed the relationship between the porosity of the flowback zone, the final filling zone, and the near-tail zone of cylinder. At the same injection velocity, the porosity at flowback zone was greater than that at the final filling position, the porosity at final filling position was larger than that at the near-tail zone of cylinder, and the final filling position changed as the injection velocity changed.

Within the big city boundaries, artificial component of the sky glow increases every year. The main reasons are the expansion of the cities, the rapid growth of technical capabilities, inefficient lighting design without master-planning and lack of quality control of lighting projects. The data of astronomical observations confirm a significant brightness increasing in the lower atmosphere due to factors of terrestrial origin. The problem is mostly acute for observatories are located near major cities, which are struggling for the possibility of further research. Night sky background glow estimation is an actual direction for research in the modern world. The paper considers a model for calculating the sky brightness for the St. Petersburg city. According to the developed model observation position is located near the Pulkovo Observatory. The model is based on the Garstang’s method with use of Python programming language.
