In order to improve the inspection accuracy of free-form surface by CMM, this paper adopted the different sampling parameters to research the influence of the measurement accuracy of free-form surface. Through the combination of area uniform block random sampling and Latin hypercube random sampling, the minimum sampling grid block area and ball diameter were taken as the research parameters. Firstly, this research analysed theoretically the influence of measurement accuracy of free-form surface by different sampling parameters. Secondly, carrying out experiments verified the analytical results. Then, the influence of two groups of sampling parameters on the normal deviation of free-form surface could be acquired by analysing the experimental data. Finally, this research could obtain the result of normal deviation of free-form surface. The research results showed that the minimum block area of sampling and the diameter of measuring ball become smaller, and the profile error become larger when the number of measuring points were the same, the more it can reflect the actual contour of the free-form surface, which proves that the measurement accuracy is higher.

Kalan is one of the focus areas for uranium exploration in West Borneo that conducted by BATAN. Situated in the central part of Kalan, previous works in Rabau Hulu Sector consisted of surface geology and radiometric anomaly mapping, trenching, drilling, logging, and conventional uranium resource estimation. Nevertheless, the complete resource estimation of the previous work was still using 2D modeling, and the latest one using 3D modeling is a method-application case study in one orebody. To increase the confidence level and completing the uranium resource estimation of all orebodies in this sector, a geostatistical estimation with 3D orebody modeling using SURPAC mine planning software was conducted in this paper. Gamma-ray log data from 32 drill holes were collected and then interpreted to obtain uranium grade-thickness data. Based on the correlation of grade-thickness data according to surface orebody orientation, the orebody 3D modeling was done. It resulted in 26 orebodies with one control system of lithology as the mineralization only taken place in the quartzite unit. This 3D model then used as a constraint for block model with 4x4x2 m block size and 0.25x0.25x0.125 m minimum block size. Block model calculation was performed using ordinary kriging which generated the kriging efficiency attribute for the determination of the resource category. Within 25 meters searching radius, the calculation resulted in 408, 480 tons of ore, while total uranium resource was 268 tons of uranium with 677 ppm average grade. There were 214 tons of uranium (79%) categorized as measured while the other 54 tons of uranium (21%) categorized as indicated.

<p>Electrochemical MEMS seismic sensor is limited by its non-ideality of frequency dependent characteristics hence interface circuits for compensation is necessary. The conventional compensation circuits are limited by high power consumption, bulky external hardware circuitry. In these methods digital circuits are also limited by inherent analog to digital conversion and vice versa which consumes significant power, acquires more size and limits speed.  A Field programmable analog array (FPAA) overcomes these limitations and gives fast, simple and user friendly development platform with less development speed comparable to ASIC. Recently FPAA becoming popular for rapid prototyping. The proposed system presents FPAA (Anadigm AN231E04) based hardware implementation of ANN model. Using this FPAA based compensation circuit, the error in frequency drift have been minimized in the range of 3.68% to about 0.64% as compared to ANN simulated results in the range of 23.07% to 0.99 %. This single neuron consumes of power of 206.62 mW. and has minimum block wise resource utilization.  The proposed hardware uses all analog blocks which remove the requirement of ADC and DAC reducing significant power and size of interface circuit. This work gives the SMART MEMS seismic sensor with reliable output and ANN based intelligent interface circuit implemented in FPAA hardware.<strong></strong></p>

Digital watermarking technology is being adopted to make certain and facilitate records authentication, safety and copyright protection of virtual media. It is taken into consideration as the maximum important era in these day’s world, to save you unlawful copying of information. Digital watermarking can be getting to audio, video, textual content or pictures. In this paper present the quad tree decomposition of cover picture consequences in variable sized square blocks. The presented approach adaptively determines locations within variable sized quad tree blocks in a cover image for embedding the secret text. The number of blocks obtained for a cover image is controlled using a threshold and a minimum block size.

<p>This paper proposes compact directional asymmetric search patterns, which we have named as three-point directional search (TDS). In most fast search motion estimation algorithms, a symmetric search pattern is usually set at the minimum block distortion point at each step of the search. The design of the symmetrical pattern in these algorithms relies primarily on the assumption that the direction of convergence is equally alike in each direction with respect to the search center. Therefore, the monotonic property of real-world video sequences is not properly used by these algorithms. The strategy of TDS is to keep searching for the minimum block distortion point in the most probable directions, unlike the previous fast search motion estimation algorithms where all the directions are checked. Therefore, the proposed method significantly reduces the number of search points for locating a motion vector. Compared to conventional fast algorithms, the proposed method has the fastest search speed and most satisfactory PSNR values for all test sequences.</p>

AbstractPSI-BLAST, an extremely popular tool for sequence similarity search, features the utilization of Position Specific Scoring Matrix (PSSM) constructed from a multiple sequence alignment (MSA). PSSM allows the detection of more distant homologs than a general amino acid substitution matrix does. An accurate estimation of the weights of sequences in an MSA is crucially important for PSSM construction. PSI-BLAST divides a given MSA into multiple blocks, for which sequence weights are calculated. When the block width becomes very narrow, the sequence weight calculation can be difficult. We demonstrate that PSI-BLAST indeed generates a significant fraction of blocks having widths less than 5, thereby degrading the PSI-BLAST performance. We revised the code of PSI-BLAST to prevent the blocks from being narrower than a given minimum block width (MBW). We designate the modified application of PSI-BLAST as PSI-BLASTexB. When MBW is 25, PSI-BLASTexB notably outperforms PSI-BLAST consistently for three independent benchmark sets. The performance boost is even more drastic when an MSA, instead of a sequence, was used as a query. Our results demonstrate that the generation of narrow-width blocks during the sequence weight calculation is a critically important factor that restricts the PSI-BLAST search performance. By preventing narrow blocks, PSI-BLASTexB remarkably upgrades the PSI-BLAST performance.

AbstractStratigraphic, structural, palaeocurrent and palaeomagnetic analyses of Upper Albian deep-water deposits in and around the Deba block (Northern Iberia) are presented. Results indicate an anticlockwise vertical-axis rotation of this block by 35° during a maximum time span of c. 1 Ma (Late Albian intra-C. auritus ammonite Subzone). This Albian syndepositional block rotation is interpreted to be the consequence of the coeval activity of conjugate major sinistral strike-slip faults and minor (antithetic) dextral strike-slip faults, which border the Deba block. On the base of conservative estimations, a minimum block-rotation rate of 35° Ma−1 and a sinistral strike-slip rate of 1.2 km Ma−1 are calculated. As a consequence of the interaction of the rotated Deba block with adjacent non-rotated blocks, its corners experienced coeval transpressive (NW and SE corners) and transtensional deformations (SW and, possibly, NE corners). At the transtensional SW corner, two domal high-reflective seismic structures have been recorded and interpreted as high-level magmatic laccoliths. These magmatic intrusions triggered the development of a mineralizing hydrothermal system, which vented to the Late Albian seafloor warm to hot hydrocarbon-rich fluids. Vented hydrocarbon was generated from Albian organic-rich sediments by contact alteration with hydrothermal fluids.

An influence of predictor’s different variants and their combination on PNG image compression is examined in this article. Fragments in C programming language for estimation of pixel lines entropy before and after application of context-dependent algorithm have been presented. A method for image analysis before the compression through breakdown of pixel lines with close entropy values into minimum blocks is offered. The method is based on the choice of an effective compression variant from five possible ones for every minimum block using dynamic programming and on the combination of contiguous minimum blocks in the homogeneous blocks of lines and on adjustment of their code parameters. It is experimentally showed that the images analysis, for example, allows to decrease the continuous tone images compression aspect of Kodak True Color PNG format image set on the average up to 12,37 bpp.
