Abstract In this paper we investigated the qualitative properties of non-negative and bounded continuous solutions to problem Cauchy for a degenerate parabolic equation with nonlinear gradient term. We based on splitting algorithm suggest estimate of weak solution for slowly, fast diffusion and critical cases, Fujita type global solvability of the Cauchy problem to degenerate type parabolic equation with nonlinear gradient term established. The theorems proven with comparison principle.

AbstractRecently, Kim et al. (Adv. Differ. Equ. 2020:168, 2020) considered the poly-Bernoulli numbers and polynomials resulting from the moderated version of degenerate polyexponential functions. In this paper, we investigate the degenerate type 2 poly-Bernoulli numbers and polynomials which are derived from the moderated version of degenerate polyexponential functions. Our degenerate type 2 degenerate poly-Bernoulli numbers and polynomials are different from those of Kim et al. (Adv. Differ. Equ. 2020:168, 2020) and Kim and Kim (Russ. J. Math. Phys. 26(1):40–49, 2019). Utilizing the properties of moderated degenerate poly-exponential function, we explore some properties of our type 2 degenerate poly-Bernoulli numbers and polynomials. From our investigation, we derive some explicit expressions for type 2 degenerate poly-Bernoulli numbers and polynomials. In addition, we also scrutinize type 2 degenerate unipoly-Bernoulli polynomials related to an arithmetic function and investigate some identities for those polynomials. In particular, we consider certain new explicit expressions and relations of type 2 degenerate unipoly-Bernoulli polynomials and numbers related to special numbers and polynomials. Further, some related beautiful zeros and graphical representations are displayed with the help of Mathematica.

We prove that vector fields described by the generalized Proca class of theories do not admit consistent coupling with a gravitational sector defined by a scalar–tensor theory of the degenerate type. Under the assumption that there exists a frame in which the Proca field interacts with gravity only through the metric tensor, our analysis shows that at least one of the constraints associated with the degeneracy of the scalar–tensor sector is inevitably lost whenever the vector theory includes coupling with the Christoffel connection.

AbstractA new family of p-Bernoulli numbers and polynomials was introduced by Rahmani (J. Number Theory 157:350–366, 2015) with the help of the Gauss hypergeometric function. Motivated by that paper and in the light of the recent interests in finding degenerate versions, we construct the generalized degenerate Bernoulli numbers and polynomials by means of the Gauss hypergeometric function. In addition, we construct the degenerate type Eulerian numbers as a degenerate version of Eulerian numbers. For the generalized degenerate Bernoulli numbers, we express them in terms of the degenerate Stirling numbers of the second kind, of the degenerate type Eulerian numbers, of the degenerate p-Stirling numbers of the second kind and of an integral on the unit interval. As to the generalized degenerate Bernoulli polynomials, we represent them in terms of the degenerate Stirling polynomials of the second kind.

We establish a class of degenerate fractional differential equations involving delay arguments in Banach spaces. The system endowed by a given background and the generalized Showalter–Sidorov conditions which are natural for degenerate type equations. We prove the results of local unique solvability by using, mainly, the method of contraction mappings. The obtained theory via its abstract results is applied to the research of initial-boundary value problems for both Scott–Blair and modified Sobolev systems of equations with delays.

Abstract This paper is mainly concerned with stochastic fractional hemivariational inequalities of degenerate (or Sobolev) type in Caputo and Riemann-Liouville derivatives with order (1, 2), respectively. Based upon some properties of fractional resolvent family and generalized directional derivative of a locally Lipschitz function, some sufficient conditions are established for the existence and approximate controllability of the aforementioned systems. Particularly, the uniform boundedness for some nonlinear terms, the existence and compactness of certain inverse operator are not necessarily needed in obtained approximate controllability results.

In this article, we introduce the parametric kinds of degenerate type Fubini polynomials and numbers. We derive recurrence relations, identities and summation formulas of these polynomials with the aid of generating functions and trigonometric functions. Further, we show that the parametric kind of the degenerate type Fubini polynomials are represented in terms of the Stirling numbers.

In this paper, complex Appell polynomials and their degenerate-type polynomials are considered as an extension of real-valued polynomials. By treating the real value part and imaginary part separately, we obtained useful identities and general properties by convolution of sequences. To justify the obtained results, we show several examples based on famous Appell sequences such as Euler polynomials and Bernoulli polynomials. Further, we show that the degenerate types of the complex Appell polynomials are represented in terms of the Stirling numbers of the first kind.

The purpose of this paper is to introduce and study type 2 degenerate q-Bernoulli polynomials and numbers by virtue of the bosonic p-adic q-integrals. The obtained results are, among other things, several expressions for those polynomials, identities involving those numbers, identities regarding Carlitz’s q-Bernoulli numbers, identities concerning degenerate q-Bernoulli numbers, and the representations of the fully degenerate type 2 Bernoulli numbers in terms of moments of certain random variables, created from random variables with Laplace distributions. It is expected that, as was done in the case of type 2 degenerate Bernoulli polynomials and numbers, we will be able to find some identities of symmetry for those polynomials and numbers.
