Objective: To determine the clinical manifestations and prognosis of victims presenting with wheat pill poisoning. Study Design: Prospective Cohort Study. Setting: Emergency Department in District Headquarter Hospital DG Khan. Period: February 2019 to January 2020. Material & Methods: Patients admitted with history of accidental or suicidal wheat pills poisoning were followed over a period of 3 to 6 months. Symptomatic treatment was initially given for 2-3 hours. The patients were retained in CCU for 24 hours before shifting to ward. Research tool (proforma) was designed for collection and interpretation of data. Acute Physiology and Chronic Health Evaluation Score 2 (APACHE-2) score was used for prognosis and recovery. Result: Out of 96 victims of aluminum phosphide ingestion male/female ratio was 2:1, 64% (n= 64) were females and 36% (n=32) were males. Higher incidence was found in age group (16–25 years (n= 27 victims). Overall mortality was 63 (65.6%). Conclusion: Wheat pill was a poison of choice among teens and adults in Pakistan as it is freely available and cheap. Arrhythmia and metabolic acidosis are the major causes of death after wheat pills ingestion. Coconut oil was found effective in delaying the absorption.

The conventional matrix completion (MC) regularizes each singular value equally, and thus the rank cannot be well approximated, which greatly limits the flexibility and accuracy of MC usage. In this paper, a truncated MC algorithm using prior information to determine the threshold while generating the target rank is proposed for the wind turbine clutter suppression of weather radar. During the singular value shrinking process, an appropriate threshold is selected to obtain the optimal approximation of the sampling matrix. Specifically, the mean value of the diagonal element in the recovered weather matrix is calculated to improve the robustness of the recovery result effectively. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm reduces the computational complexity as well as further improves the MC accuracy and realizes the effective suppression of the wind turbine clutter.

With the rapid increase in computer storage capabilities, user data has become increasingly important. Although user data can be maintained by various protection techniques, its safety has been threatened by the advent of ransomware, defined as malware that encrypts user data, such as documents, photographs and videos, and demands money to victims in exchange for data recovery. Ransomware-infected files can be recovered only by obtaining the encryption key used to encrypt the files. However, the encryption key is derived using a Pseudo Random Number Generator (PRNG) and is recoverable only by the attacker. For this reason, the encryption keys of malware are known to be difficult to obtain. In this paper, we analyzed Magniber v2, which has exerted a large impact in the Asian region. We revealed the operation process of Magniber v2 including PRNG and file encryption algorithms. In our analysis, we found a vulnerability in the PRNG of Magniber v2 developed by the attacker. We exploited this vulnerability to successfully recover the encryption keys, which was by verified the result in padding verification and statistical randomness tests. To our knowledge, we report the first recovery result of Magniber v2-infected files.

Four-dimensional printing (4DP) is an approach of using Shape Memory Materials (SMMs) with additive manufacturing (AM) processes to produce printed parts that can deform over a determined amount of time. This research examines how Polylactic Acid (PLA), as a Shape Memory Polymer (SMP), can be programmed by manipulating the build parameters of material extrusion. In this research, a water bath experiment was used to show the results of the shape-recovery of bending and shape-recovery speed of the printed parts, according to the influence of the print pattern, infill density and recovery temperature (Tr). In terms of the influence of the print pattern, the ‘Quarter-cubic’ pattern with a 100% infill density showed the best recovery result; and the ‘Line’ pattern with a 20% infill density showed the worst recovery result. The ‘Cubic-subdivision’ pattern with a 20% infill density demonstrated the shortest recovery time; and the ‘Concentric’ pattern with a 100% infill density demonstrated the longest recovery time. The results also showed that a high temperature and high infill density provided better recovery, and a low temperature and low infill density resulted in poor recovery.

Hydrogel-facilitated phase separation (HFPS) has recently been applied to make microstructured porous membranes by modified phase separation processes. In HFPS, a soft lithographically patterned hydrogel mold is used as a water content source that initiates the phase separation process in membrane fabrication. However, after each membrane casting, the hydrogel content changes due to the diffusion of organic solvent into the hydrogel from the original membrane solution. The absorption of solvent into the hydrogel mold limits the continuous use of the mold in repeated membrane casts. In this study, we investigated a simple treatment process for hydrogel mold recovery, consisting of warm and cold treatment steps to provide solvent extraction without changing the hydrogel mold integrity. The best recovery result was 96%, which was obtained by placing the hydrogel in a warm water bath (50 °C) for 10 min followed by immersing in a cold bath (23 °C) for 4 min and finally 4 min drying in air. This recovery was attributed to nearly complete solvent extraction without any deformation of the hydrogel structure. The reusability of hydrogel can assist in the development of a continuous membrane fabrication process using HFPS.

With the rising awareness of environmental responsibility in industrial production, a series of recovery strategies have been developed and play different roles in achieving sustainability. In this study, we examine when quality recovery, low-end recovery, and hybrid recovery result in a win-win outcome where both profitability and environmental performance can be improved for a durable product manufacturer. We develop a game-theoretic model to analyze the manufacturer’s payoffs under different recovery strategies. A secondary market where used products can be resold among consumers is also considered. We obtain the results by comparing the profitability and environmental impact under each recovery strategy. Hybrid recovery causes both synergy and a contradiction effect between quality and low-end recovery. It always improves the win-win outcome of low-end recovery and it can also improve the win-win outcome of quality recovery under a high recovery standard when the recovered value is not too high. The technology improvement only achieves environmental sustainability under sufficient stringent recovery standard, otherwise, it may backfire and deteriorate the environment. We offer insights for the policymaker to understand the role of the recovery standard in achieving the win-win outcome and the importance of setting a proper recovery standard in achieving environmental sustainability.

Traumatic nerve defect affected over 200, 00 people in the US. As it affected so many people, autografts as the golden standard solution have their limitations. Nerve conduits is a new method and the materials for conduits establishing contain biological materials, synthetic materials and composite materials. Among these categories, composite conduits appear better regeneration ability. Also, chitosan demonstrated have the ability to help nerve regeneration. Thus, chitosan composite may be a good choice in the future. This article compares six kinds of chitosan composite: Laminin-chitosan-PLGA, Chitosan-Zinc Oxide Nanocomposite, PCL/Chitosan/Verapamil, Chitosan/ hyaluronic acid conduit, Chitosan/simvastatin/Pluronic F-127 hydrogel and Chitin/ Carboxymethyl (CM)-chitosan by conduit structure, establishment method, sciatic functional index (SFI), electrophysiology and histology data. This article concludes that chitosan-drug-drug delivery system showed the best recovery result.

Intravesical Bacillus Calmette-Guérin immunotherapy is an effective agent for superficial bladder carcinoma. The main adverse effect of this treatment is cystitis. Arthralgia and migratory arthritis occur only in 0.5% of patients. Reiter syndrome is a very rare complication that can occur after intravesical apply of Bacillus Calmette-Guérin Immunotherapy. We report the first Albanian patient who developed Reiter’s syndrome, following intravesical Bacillus Calmette-Guérin. Diagnose of Reiter’s Syndrome was clinically based, excluding every other reason that could have caused it. Treatment was made with non-steroid and steroid anti-inflammatory drugs, followed by a full recovery result. Even though Reiter's Syndrome is a rare, but significant complication of BCG immunotherapy, it’s important to identify it in time, in order we to offer an adequate treatment.
