We present a self-seeded solution–liquid–solid (SLS) synthesis route for InSb nanowires (NWs) using commercially available precursors at a relatively low temperature of about 175 °C, which takes only 1 min upon the injection of reductant.

The introduction of CsPbBr3 nanocrystals into the ZnO porous matrix leads to the appearance of a positive photoconductivity response in the visible spectral range. Measurement of the spectral dependences of absorption, photoluminescence and photoconductivity showed that the shape and position of the photoluminescence peak are associated with defects in CsPbBr3. Analysis of the kinetics of photoconductivity relaxation shows the possibility of accelerating the process of recombination of photoexcited charge carriers by more than an order of magnitude. The mechanisms responsible for the effect are discussed.

Photoconductivity is a fundamental and highly applicable phenomenon for semiconductor oxide-based devices, and the presence of defects plays a significant role in this mechanism. Here, we present an investigation based on different atmospheres and light excitation (above and below bandgap) dependences of zinc oxide thin film grown by spray-pyrolysis. As-grown ZnO presents a representative Urbach tail associated to the presence of localized levels in the bandgap. Photoconductivity response and decay times are investigated for air and inert atmospheres as well as under vacuum conditions with significant features due to light excitation conditions. The observed characteristics are explained based on oxygen photodesorption when excitation is above bandgap while this process is suppressed when excitation is below bandgap.

Trapping and recombination processes in thin films of CH3NH3PbI3 (MAPbI3) were studied by means of transient photoconductivity measurements and theoretical simulations of the relaxation curves resulting from the photocurrent measurements; in particular, the influence of temperature, as well as of the sample intensity of temperature illumination and pressure inside the measurement system on the photoconductivity response were studied.
