With the popularization of open borrowing, it is urgent for major libraries to explore new collection classification and identification systems to assist or replace librarians in their daily book cataloguing work. The messy books can be marked according to invisible colors, which puts forward a new method of library classification. In the algorithm used to detect image edges, by looking for the traditional sensitivity measurement system, the best parameters are applied to the wrong book image edges, and the test results are verified to find the best parameter range. A two-dimensional algorithm is used to segment the information element matrix to reduce sound. The results show that the image edge test is effective and reduces the influence of noise on the image test. The self-adjustment control algorithm of a single neuron is used to control the robot orbit, which makes the robot not only react quickly, but also reduce a small part of the error in meeting the actual needs of the robot. The effect on the result is getting smaller and smaller.

The Conventional  Finite Element Method for the analysis of plate bending based on a the principle of stationarity of total potential energy which is well known as Stiffness Formulation , using a variety of conformal and no-conformal elements was widely applicable in early of numerical solutions for such problems , later in order to improve the efficiency of such solutions , a more general and flexible formulation called Mixed Formulation based on variational  principles which can be regarded as an extension of  the Stiffness principle become important alternative. The explicit stiffness matrix for plate bending was given in the most if it`s not in all literatures so the reader can easy follow the solving procedure for such problems  and verifying any published results , however  such like-matrix (Augmented Matrix)  in case of mixed formulation  not given , at least for simple elements in the literatures as well as concerned researches . This quietly leads to some difficulties concerning the verification as well as understanding the published results. The main objective of this paper is to introduce this matrix in abbreviated size followed by a applicability  through a some detailed examples for some bending models. The derived matrix will be helpful subject of research work in addition to  , reveals a very good feeling with understanding and verification the published results in plus to comparing with the analytical solutions of different plate bending problems as the reader can do that.

For affordance-based design, which is especially lacking in the architecture field, this study investigates the relationships between affordances and interior elements in the built environment by understanding intrinsic affordances by users. The ethnographic case study was conducted by unobtrusively observing participant behaviours during given tasks using video recordings, voice recordings and photographs. The 32 affordances were identified in a public space containing 22 observed affordances and 10 issue affordances. The paper defines the hierarchical nature of the interior elements, including area-level, set-level, object-level and detailed attribute-level elements. An awareness of human-based affordances, where humans can create specific affordances using their bodies and belongings, was significant in the current research. The affordance-interior design element map can be used to support the identification of interior elements that are relevant to certain affordances and to distinguish which affordances are demanded by occupants in the built environment. Overall, designers could embed the affordance concept in the early stages of the design process by choosing more critical affordances and interior elements. The affordance-interior design element matrix and the map may be developed as an initial data repository for affordance-based interior design.

PurposeThe purpose of this paper is to develop a dress design knowledge base (DDKB), which is expected to be further applied to a personalized dress recommendation system.Design/methodology/approachDress design knowledge can be expressed as the relationship between designer's fashion perceptions of different dress elements. In order to extract dress design knowledge, a dress shape ontology (DSO) is firstly developed, which can be further used to form a dress element matrix (DEM). A perceptual descriptive space of the dress (DPDS) is developed for the description of the designer's fashion perception of dress. Through a standard sensory evaluation procedure performed by experienced experts (designers), the expected relationship can be obtained. This relationship is then mathematically simulated by fuzzy logic tools for the expected DDKB.FindingsIn this paper, a DDKB has been developed. The established knowledge base has been validated, and it can be further applied to dress recommendation system for a specific consumer.Originality/valueThis study introduces the concept of knowledge base to the area of dress individualized design. The knowledge-based design process based on sensory evaluation and fuzzy logic can efficiently solve the individualization of dress design in traditional design processes, which can provide a novel way to dress design individualization.

This paper analyzes peer-reviewed empirical eye-tracking studies of behavior in web search engines. A framework is created to examine the effectiveness of eye-tracking by drawing on the results of, and discussions concerning previous experiments. Based on a review of 56 papers on eye-tracking for search engines from 2004 to 2019, a 12-element matrix for coding procedure is proposed. Content analysis shows that this matrix contains 12 common parts: search engine; apparatus; participants; interface; results; measures; scenario; tasks; language; presentation, research questions; and findings. The literature review covers results, the contexts of web searches, a description of participants in eye-tracking studies, and the types of studies performed on the search engines. The paper examines the state of current research on the topic and points out gaps in the existing literature. The review indicates that behavior on search engines has changed over the years. Search engines’ interfaces have been improved by adding many new functions and users have moved from desktop searches to mobile searches. The findings of this review provide avenues for further studies as well as for the design of search engines.

AbstractThis article focuses on the development of the mask design knowledge base, which is expected to be applied in a personalized mask design system. To realize the proposed knowledge base, a perceptual descriptive space of the mask is first developed for the description of both functional and aesthetic perceptions of a mask. The mask ontology is also developed to form the mask element matrix. Mask design knowledge is expressed as the relationship between the perceptual descriptive space and the mask ontology, which is extracted by a group of experienced designers through a sensory evaluation procedure. This relationship is then simulated by fuzzy logic tools. The proposed knowledge base has been validated that it is reliable. The personalized mask design system can be further developed with the propose mask design knowledge base.
