Parasites digestifs des poules villageoises vendues à Ngaoundéré (Cameroun)

Une étude a été menée sur le parasitisme digestif des poules villageoises collectées dans deux marchés de la ville de Ngaoundéré (Cameroun) entre mai et août 2018. Neuf genres (Eimeria sp., Raillietina sp., Capillaria sp., Choanotaenia sp., Gongylonema sp., Amoebotaenia sp., Hymenolepis sp., Tetrameres sp. et Echinostoma sp.) et trois espèces (Ascaridia galli, Heterakis gallinarum et Trichostrongylus tenuis) ont été identifiés. Sur les 429 échantillons examinés, 362 étaient porteurs d’un ou de plusieurs parasites, soit un taux d’infestation de 84,4 %. Ce taux était de 86,3 % chez les 240 oiseaux examinés par coproscopie, et de 82,0 % chez les 189 examinés par autopsie. A la coproscopie, les oiseaux adultes étaient plus infestés que les jeunes par Ascaridia galli, Raillietina sp. et Eimeria sp. De même, à l’autopsie une plus forte prévalence de Capillaria sp. et Raillietina sp. a été observée chez les adultes. La plupart des helminthes parasitaient l’intestin grêle. Aucune lésion coccidienne n’a été observée le long du tractus intestinal. Diverses associations de parasites ont été observées avec celle prédominante de Eimeria sp. L’intensité moyenne d’infestation par Eimeria sp., estimée par la méthode de détermination du nombre d’oeufs par gramme de fèces de McMaster, a été la plus élevée chez les volailles adultes.

ДЕЗІНВАЗІЙНІ ВЛАСТИВОСТІ СУЧАСНИХ ДЕЗІНФІКУЮЧИХ ЗАСОБІВ ВІДНОСНО ЯЄЦЬ НЕМАТОД TRICHOSTRONGYLUS TENUIS

Серед гельмінтозів гусей досить поширеними є інвазії, спричинені нематодами, що паразитуютьу шлунково-кишковому тракті птиці, до яких належить і трихостронгільоз. Лікувально-профілактичні заходи повинні виконуватися, зважаючи на особливості життєвого циклу трихо-стронгілюсів та бути спрямовані на ефективне знищення їх на різних стадіях розвитку. Серед нихнайбільш дієвими є проведення дезінвазії об’єктів птахівництва. Метою досліджень було встановити дезінвазійні властивості сучасних дезінфікуючих засобів відносно яєць нематод Trichostrongylus tenuis. Проведено експериментальне випробування в лабораторних умовах дезінфек-тантів за різних експозицій та концентрацій: віросану (ТОВ «БіоТестЛаб», Україна), дезсану (ТОВ «Бровафарма», Україна) та гермециду-ВС (ТОВ «Ветсинтез», Україна). Основним показником дії дезінфікуючих засобів відносно яєць нематод було значення їх дезінвазійної ефективності. Результати проведених досліджень свідчать про високий рівень дезінвазійної ефективності дезсану (94,87–100 %) відносно яєць трихостронгілюсів у 1–2 % концентраціях за експозицій 10, 30 та 60 хв. При використанні 0,5 % розчину дезсану його дезінвазійна ефективність залежно від експозиції ко-ливалася від 49,35 до 85,47 %. Засіб віросан проявив високий рівень дезінвазійної ефективності в концентрації 0,25 % за експозиції 60 хв. (91,26 %) та в концентрації 0,5 % за експозиції 10, 30 та 60 хв. (100 %). Незадовільний рівень дезінвазійної ефективності віросан проявив у 0,1 % концентрації за експозицій 10 та 30 хв. (41,60–53,63 %). Цей дезінфектант у концентрації 0,1 % (експозиція 60 хв.), 0,25 % (експозиція 10 та 30 хв) показав задовільний рівень дезінвазійної ефективності віднос-но яєць нематод (60,43–82,74 %). Засіб гермецид-ВС проявив високий рівень дезінвазійної ефективності (100 %) у концентраціях 0,25 % (експозиція 30 та 60 хв.) і 0,5 % (експозиція 10–60 хв.). Незадовільний рівень дезінвазійної ефективності (39,22–52,02 %) виявлено при застосуванні гермециду-ВС у концентрації 0,1 % (експозиція 10 та 30 хв.), а задовільний (63,06–84,63 %) – у концентраціях 0,1 та 0,25 % за експозицій 60 та 10 хв. відповідно. Отримані дані дозволяють реко-мендувати дезінфектанти віросан, дезсан та гермецид-ВС для дезінвазії об’єктів довкілля та птахівничих приміщень у боротьбі та профілактиці за наявності трихостронгільозу гусей.

ПОРІВНЯННЯ КОПРООВОСКОПІЧНИХ МЕТОДІВ ДІАГНОСТИКИ В. Н. ТРАЧА, МАКМАСТЕРА Й МІНІ-ФЛОТАК У РАЗІ УРАЖЕННЯ КУРЕЙ ASCARIDIA GALLI ТА TRICHOSTRONGYLUS TENUIS

Одними з найпоширеніших шлунково-кишкових інвазій у птиці є асаридіоз спричинений Ascaridia galli, й трихостронгільоз, збудник Trichostrongylus tenuis. У ветеринарній практиці кількісні копроо-воскопічні методи діагностики з наявністю лічильної камери досить широко застосовуються. Ці методи мають важливе значення під час вивчення інвазованості птиці нематодами. Проте базові знання щодо ефективності комерційних методів діагностики порівняно з методом В. Н. Трача у птиці практично відсутні в науковій літературі. Метою дослідження було порівняння ефективності методу В. Н. Трача та комерційних методів: модифікованого МакМастера з чутливістю 50 яєць в 1 г фекалій (ЯГФ) та Міні-Флотак у комбінації з Філл-Флотак (чутливістю 10 ЯГФ) у разі ураження курей A. galli і T. tenuis. У роботі представлено результати апробації вищенаведених методів з наси-ченими розчинами: нітрату амонію (NH4NO3; ПВ=1,3) для В. Н. Трача та хлориду натрію (NaCl; ПВ=1,2) для МакМастера й Міні-Флотак. Зразки фекалій відбирали в одноосібному селянському гос-подарстві, що розташоване в с. Щербані Полтавського району, від курей віком 9–12 міс. з підлоги 25 проб по 10 г кожна. Лабораторні дослідження проведені в науковій лабораторії кафедри паразито-логії Полтавської державної аграрної академії. Для методу В. Н. Трача брали 2,5 г посліду й додава-ли 47,5 мл розчину NH4NO3, після чого відстоювали впродовж 45 хв. З метою діагностики модифіко-ваним методом МакМастера брали 2 г фекалій і додавали 28 мл насиченого розчину кухонної солі. Для проведення досліджень методом Міні-Флотак у Філ-Флотак поміщали 2 г посліду й додавали 38 мл розчину NaCl, згідно з протоколом дослідження екзотичних тварин. Дослідження методами МакМастера й Міні-Флотак проводили через 10–12 хв після заповнення камер. З’ясовано, що метод МакМастера є найефективнішим з виявленн яєць нематод у птиці. В середньому методом МакМас-тера вдалося виявити на 83,3 % більше яєць Ascaridia galli й на 80,24 % більше яєць Trichostrongylus tenuis, ніж методом В. Н. Трача (P<0,001). Встановлено, що метод В. Н. Трача мав бідну кореляцій-ну залежність при виявленні яєць аскаридій і трихостронгілюсів як із «золотим стандартом» (метод МакМастера), так і з Міні-Флотак. Водночас при підрахунку яєць A. galli в 1 г фекалій кое-фіцієнт кореляції узгодженості Ліна між методами МакМастера й Міні-Флотак був суттєвим (ССС=0,96), а T. tenuis – помірним (ССС=0,91).

Prevalence and Intensity of Parasitic Worms on Free-Range Chickens and Egg-Laying Chickens in Muara Badak sub-District, Kutai Kartanegara

One of the diseases often threatens the health of free-range chickens and egg-laying chickens are worm parasites (endoparasites). Parasites can be transmitted through food, drinks and the cage environment. Sanitation is one of the preventive steps carry out by farmers to protect livestock against infection from the environment. The objective of study was to determine the prevalence and intensity of parasitic worm eggs that infect the digestive tracts of free-range chickens and egg- laying hens in Muara Badak District. Research was done by observing worm eggs in fecal samples. A total of 60 samples consisting of 30 samples of egg-laying hens in Tanjung Village and 30 samples of free-range chickens in Badak Baru Village, Muara Badak. For the sample analysis technique used 2 methods are namely the floating method and the sedimentation method. The results has showed the type of worm eggs are infected the digestive tract found in free-range chickens and egg-laying chickens had consisted of Echinostoma revolutum, Raillietina echinobothrida, Raillietina tetragona, Davainea proglotina, Amoebotaenia sphenoides, Ascaridia galli, Capillaria annulata and Trichostrongylus tenuis. The highest prevalence in free- range chickens and egg-laying chickens were found in Ascaridia galli was 53.33% and 40%. While the lowest prevalence in free-range chickens against Raillietina echinobothrida and Amoebotaenia sphenoides 3.33%. egg-laying chickens are against Echinostoma revolutum, Raillietina tetragona and Trichostrongylus tenuis 6.67%. The highest intensity in free-range chickens and against Ascaridia galli was 141 eggs/individual and in egg-laying chickens was 139 eggs/individuals. The lowest intensity in this research was found in free-range chickens against Amoebotaenia sphenoides and Raillietina echinobothrida 3 eggs/individuals and egg-laying chickens against Echinostoma revolutum 5 eggs/individuals. ЕПІЗООТОЛОГІЧНІ ОСОБЛИВОСТІ ПЕРЕБІГУ ТРИХОСТРОНГІЛЬОЗУ ГУСЕЙ У ГОСПОДАРСТВАХ ПОЛТАВСЬКОЇ ОБЛАСТІ

Серед гельмінтозів гусей досить поширеними є інвазії, спричинені нематодами, що паразитують у шлункового-кишковому тракті птиці, до яких належить і трихостронгільоз. Збудник Trichostrongylus tenuis локалізується у птиці у сліпих кишках, рідше – в тонкому кишечнику. Інвазія зумовлює затримку в рості та розвитку молодняку, негативно впливає на продуктивність, якість продукції та функціональну активність імунної системи птиці. Метою досліджень було встанови-ти епізоотологічні особливості перебігу трихостронгільозу гусей у господарствах Полтавської об-ласті. За результатами проведених гельмінтологічних розтинів домашніх гусей встановлено, що се-редня екстенсивність трихостронгільозної інвазії на території Полтавської області становила 27,54 % (за коливань від 20,00 до 39,34 %, інтенсивність інвазії – 13,09±0,95 екз./гол. (за коливань від 1 до 42 екз./гол.). Встановлено, що трихостронгільоз гусей частіше (у 81,55 % інвазованої птиці) перебігає як мікстінвазії разом з нематодозами, цестодозами та трематодозами. Трихостронгільо-зну моноінвазію виявлено у 18,45 % хворої птиці. Мікстінвазії представлені дво-, три-, чотири-, п’яти- та шестикомпонентними різновидами. Домінуючими виявилися інвазії, що складалися з двох видів паразитів (екстенсивність інвазії становила 10,43 %), де співчленами Trichostrongylus tenuis були нематоди видів: Аmidostomum anseris, Heterakis dispar, Baruscapillaria anseris, Baruscapillaria obsignata, цестоди видів: Fimbriaria fasciolaris, Sobolevicanthus gracilis та трематоди виду Echinoparyphium aconiatum. Екстенсивність інших видів мікстінвазій коливалася в межах від 0,80 до 5,08 %. Усього виділено 28 різновидів асоціативного перебігу трихостронгільозу в гусей, де з двоком-понентних виявлено 7 різновидів, з трикомпонентних – 14, з чотирикомпонентних – 5, із п’ятикомпонентних – 1, із шестикомпонентних – 1. Основними співчленами нематод роду Trichostrongylus tenuis в організмі гусей виявилися нематоди H. dispar (екстенсивність інвазії стано-вила 9,89 %), B. anseris (9,89 %) та А. anseris (6,68 %). Менший відсоток становили асоціації трихо-стронгілюсів із H. conoideum (4,28 %), S. gracilis (3,74 %), F. fasciolaris (3,48 %), H. gallinarum (3,48 %) та B. obsignata (1,87 %).

Differential species traits of Trichostrongylus tenuis (Nematoda, Trichostrongylidae)

Trichostrongylus tenuis Mehlin, 1846 is a helminth species that parasitizes in the gastrointestinal tract of birds and causes trichostrongylosis. Research on the differential features of the pathogen at various stages of development facilitates timely finding of the foci of infection and providing recommendations for prevention and control. In the present study, the differential species traits of male and female Trichostrongylus nematodes parasitizing in the domestic goose were examined. The nematodes were obtained in helminthological dissection of the intestine of birds kept at farms and private households in Poltava region, Ukraine. It was revealed that the morphological features of T. tenuis females that should be considered in species identification include the structural specifics of the reproductive system and the tail end. 22 metric parameters were suggested for species identification, including the female body measurements for different parts, specifics of vulva and anus location, sizes of the ovijector, sphincter, ejector and vulval area. Differences were found in the metric parameters of the lateral crests of the cuticle in female nematodes in relation to the position of crests on the parasite’s bodies. The cuticular crests were absent at 0.1 mm from the head and tail ends, and the length of crests was 9.3 mm in total. The longest and widest crests were observed in the middle of the body, the shortest were found in the anus area, and the narrowest crests were from the anterior part of esophagus to its middle. The distance between crests varied 0.2–3.0 μm, the longest at the transition of esophagus into the intestine and the shortest in area between the vulva and the anus. The metric parameters of T. tenuis eggs obtained from bird feces and in the nematode uterus differed significantly by 5 characters. The collected data on the morphological and metric parameters of females and eggs of T. tenuis can be used in species identification and understanding of the taxonomic position of that species.

Distribution of trichostrongylosis of geese on the territory of Poltava region

Successful development of poultry farming can be achieved not only as a result of the creation of highly productive new breeds of geese, the improvement of diets for nutrients, but also in the conditions of stable epizootic well-being of infectious and invasive diseases. Parasitic diseases of domestic waterfowl account for a large proportion of other diseases and cause significant damage to geese farming. Among helminthiases of geese, infections caused by nematodes parasitizing in the gastrointestinal tract of birds, in particular Trichostrongylus tenuis, are quite common. The aim of this study was to study the distribution of trichostrongylosis among populations of domestic geese in the territory of Poltava region, Ukraine (Velyka Bahachka, Hlobyne, Hrebinka, Zinkiv, Karlivka, Poltava, Myrhorod, Shyshaky districts). The conducted scatoscopical studies showed that the average extensity and intensity of trichostrongylosic infestation was respectively 22.9 % and 89.7 ± 8.2 eggs per 1 g of poultry feces. Invasiveness in the region studied ranged from 17.2 to 26.7 % and from 20 to 380 eggs per 1 g of feces. At the same time, it was found out that the degree of affliction of domestic geese by the agent of trichostrongylosis in farms with different capacity and technology of keeping was significantly different. In individual farms and farms, the extensity and intensity of the invasion of geese is higher (24.4 % and 97.7 ± 10.7 eggs per 1 g of feces) than in the specialized geese farms (16.1 % and 70.3 ± 15.1 eggs in 1 g of feces). It has been found that goose trichostrongylosis is more frequently present in the mixinvasions of the digestive canal of the bird along with protosooses and nematodoses. Extensity of mixinvasions reaches 18.1 %, which is 78.9 % of the total number of patients at geese trichostrongylosis. Extensity of trichostrongylosic mono-invasion was 4.8 % (21.1 % of the total invasion of T. tenuis birds). The results of the conducted studies lead to a further, deeper study of the issues of epizootic features of trichostrongylosis of geese, taking into account the seasonal and age dynamics of invasion, as well as the effectiveness of therapeutic and preventive measures.

Gastrointestinal parasitic infestation in the Rock ptarmigan Lagopus muta in the French Alps and French Pyrenees based on long-term sampling (1987–2018)

Data presented in this work represents the first record of parasites from the Alpine and Pyrenean Lagopus muta subspecies, providing valuable information to consider for conservation management. From 1987 to 2018, 207 Rock ptarmigans were collected in the framework of a long-term sanitary monitoring in France. Eight parasites were found in the Alpine Rock ptarmigan, and one in the Pyrenean subspecies. Only two parasites occurred with high prevalence in the Alpine Rock ptarmigan: Capillaria caudinflata (38.9%) and Eimeria sp. (34.7%). Prevalence of the other parasites (Ascaridia compar, Cestodes, Amphimerus sp. and Trichostrongylus tenuis) was lower than 20%. Dispharynx nasuta was found with a prevalence of 52.9% in the Pyrenean Rock ptarmigan. Overall, we found a spatially aggregated distribution of parasites in the northern French Alps, probably due to both favourable climatic conditions for parasite cycle and high host density. Statistical analyses indicated a positive effect of altitude and latitude on C. caudinflata occurrence whereas risk factors for Eimeria sp. were the distance from urban areas and land cover. In addition, the majority of the infested birds came from areas close to ski-pistes, where human disturbance increases the susceptibility to diseases, causing stress to wildlife.
