Cultural-heritage research has created a vast amount of information regarding heritage objects and sites. At the same time, recent efforts on the digitization of cultural heritage have provided novel means of documenting tangible cultural resources including digital images, videos, audio testimonies, and 3D reconstructions. Furthermore, ethnographic research is nowadays combined with advanced capturing technologies such as motion capture to record the intangible dimensions of heritage as these are manifested through human expression in dance, heritage crafts, etc. This amount of information is now available and should be used to create novel forms of experiential access to cultural heritage powered by the web and mobile technologies mixed with novel interaction paradigms such as virtual and augmented reality. In this article, a platform is presented that facilitates a cloud-based web application to support location-based narratives on cultural-heritage resources provided through map-based or story-based representation approaches. At the same time, the platform through the power of modern mobile devices can provide these experiences on the move using location-based and image recognition-based augmented reality to facilitate multiple usage contexts. The platform was implemented to support the goal of the project CuRe, in the context of the “Greece-Germany” bilateral collaboration action.

The United States and China had conducted cyber cooperation since 2011. But in 2013, both states were involved in the cyber conflict that made the previous cyber collaboration had been ineffective. After that, in 2015, both states agreed to re-form cyber cooperation. This study aims to analyse the United States' motivation in conducting cyber partnerships with China using the cybersecurity concept. This research has discovered at the national level, the United States tried to achieve its information assurance through cyber defence strategy by strengthening collaboration. On the other hand, at the international level, norm construction through bilateral collaboration has made the United States become an impactful actor in international cybersecurity.

Significance Washington, Delhi and Islamabad all view cybersecurity as a critical challenge, and the US administration wants to work multilaterally to address shared global threats. However, the lack of precedent for trilateral cooperation, deep US-Pakistan and India-Pakistan mistrust, and US preference for cyber cooperation only with top allies impede collaboration. Impacts US-India-Pakistan cyber cooperation may offer a new template for three-way collaboration on other threats such as climate change. Any India-Pakistan cooperation on cybersecurity could spur additional bilateral collaboration in other areas. Such cooperation would boost efforts to develop global norms to tackle cybersecurity.

Nowadays, firms have to face challenging economical cirses, like the one caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, where volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity are manifested. Strategic management is seen as one of the key approaches that firms can choose to implement sustainable smart working (on the support of Internet of Things and smart technologies) and to face global competition. In this article, as a response to the current crisis, we study the influence of Smart Working on Eco-innovation within EU 28 countries. Specifically, we evaluate the relationship between Eco-innovation index for EU 28 countries and Smart Working, by using a clustering analysis. The results show that the increased labor productivity and employees’ eco-innovation are associated, to a higher extent, with the companies agreeing to a flexible and comfortable environment. These companies agree with the introduction of special programs such as working from home. We also prove that Smart Working is implemented by innovative leaders gaining economic sustainability. This study also provides several theoretical and practical contributions. We provide (i) an overview of sustainable management, including the diverse theoretical and methodological perspectives; and (ii) the recommendation of an innovation model through the bilateral collaboration for the constructs of performant sustainable strategies.

FASTEN is an H2020 project under a bilateral call UE-Brazil. Embraer is a global aerospace company, with manufacturing and assembly lines in Europe, Brazil and USA. FASTEN aims to advance IoT and IoT enabled applications to support Industry 4.0 concepts, namely in the area of automation and additive manufacturing. The project results will be demonstrated through two pilots: one in Brazil, lead by a ThyssenKrupp use case, and the other in Europe, at Embraer facilities in Portugal. The project results for the Embraer use case will be presented, with emphasis on bilateral collaboration gains provided by exploiting common frameworks for development and open architecture, and future opportunities for exploitation discussed.

Abstract The crisis in Ukraine, that broke out in 2013 and escalated in 2014, has led to sanction policy and the emergence of significant political divergences between Russian Federation and the West. This has resulted in an intensification of Russia’s foreign and economic policy alliances with its neighboring countries as well as with the rest of the BRICS members. In his interview with Cuba’s Prensa Latina, Vladimir Putin further classified cooperation with Latin American states as one of the key and very promising lines of Russia’s foreign policy. In light of the above mentioned developments, this paper addresses the Latin American vector of Russian foreign policy using the example of Russian-Venezuelan partnership, which has been intensified after 2004. It explores the underlying key elements of this partnership based on realist and constructivist assumptions and is aimed at outlining foreign policy identities, perceptions and interests constitutive for the cooperation between the two countries. The author concludes, that the cooperation is based both on realist and constructivist elements, whereas Russian interests are mainly realist and Venezuelan constructivist, and that fact could hinder long-lasting and both-way beneficial bilateral collaboration.

Across Canada, provincial governments and nonprofit network leaders are engaged in a “third wave” of consultations, policy dialogues, and policy alignment strategies. Unexplored to date is how nonprofit policy networks are governed and structured. Network structures could have important implications for policy management and any bilateral collaboration agreements with provincial governments. This is a new point of analysis for both public administrators and nonprofit network leaders. The alignment of network governance in four structural dimensions is analyzed, as are parallel nonprofit policy network structures within provincial governments and select nonprofit policy outcomes.

The paper presents selected examples of solutions and specific user applications associated with the industrial forging processes. Various process specific issues encountered during many years of bilateral collaboration with the forging industry are addressed and analysis methods are presented. As demonstrated in numerous articles and publications, the parameters influencing the die forging process are subject to complicated and mutually related dependencies, which can affect and complicate the methods of analysis. For this reason, researchers, more and more frequently, involve the use of additional support tools such as CAD / CAM / CAE, numerical modelling based on FEM, tool surface scanning methods, physical modelling, advanced microstructural research and dedicated control-measurement systems to validate engaged solutions. The research conducted by the authors included mainly: an analysis of the preform preparation, the impact of the geometry on the forging quality and the heating methods of the material and the tools, analysis of the tribological conditions, as well as an optimization of selected processes in respect of the force parameters, strain and temperature distributions and finally, a weight minimization of the input material. The issues discussed by the authors in the article intend, on the basis of the experience of its creators, to review the issues of the current forging technology and to indicate its possible solutions and development directions.
