Scorodocarpus borneensis, an indigenous tree from Kalimantan, was used traditionally. This forest plant is from the genus Olacaceae with a unique characteristic of their bark that smells like onions. The scientific information about the potential activity of this plant was very limited. In this study, the chemical compounds and potential activities of S. borneensis were reviewed in this article. The information was collected from several databases, such as Google Scholar, PubMed, Science Direct, DOAJ, and Elsevier. Chemical compounds of S. borneensis were dominated by the volatile compound. That species has several activities, such as antioxidant, antibacterial

Currently, there is a trend towards the widespread use of herbal medicines for the treatment and prevention of various diseases. This is due to the fact that herbal preparations or phytopreparations, as a rule, combine high therapeutic activity and relative safety. The article describes the type of Ziziphora clinopodioides Lam, its distribution area, botanical characteristics, ecological and phytocenotic features and chemical composition of the species.

From the past up to now, Balanophora sp. has been used by the Dao as a valuable remedyfor bones and joints such as back pain, paralysis of limbs, sexual improvement, strengthening ... Thisprecious medicinal plant grows and develops well in marble forests, at an altitude of over 1500 meters above sea level, found most in some northern mountainous areas such as Yen Bai, Lao Cai, Cao Bang, Hoa Binh, Ha Giang, Son. La…. In this research, we described and systemized data on morphology, microscopy characteristics of Vietnamese Balanophora sp. . The obtained results show that the Balanophora sp. in Cao Bang province, scientifically named Balanophora indica (Arnott) Griff, belongs to the Balanophoraceae, which have built a relatively complete data set on anatomy andmicro-anatomy characteristics of roots, leaves, whole-plant medicinal powder. The results of this study contribute to completing the monographs  of the Balanophora indica (Arnott) Griff in the Vietnamese Pharmacopoeia. Summary Plants have been used to prepare herbal infusions for centuries. Production of herbal tea consists of several steps, beginning with harvesting, cleaning form residues, drying, storage of herb in a suitable material, grinding, and blending. Te plants grow in different regions and climatic conditions, varying by their physical properties. They are consumed for different purposes and due to their chemical constituents. Many of them have therapeutic effects. Besides their various benefits and even antimicrobial effects, they also carry some microorganisms. Thus, the botanical characteristics and effects on the health of frequently consumed herbal teas and recommendations on their consumption with considered microbial risks are reviewed in this article.

Vitis adenoclada Hand.-Mazz is a special wild grape resource that is often confused with Vitis heyneana Roem. & Schult in research or production practice, and there are few comprehensive studies on this species in recent years. “Gui Heizhenzhu No. 3” (GH3), as a new germplasm of V. adenoclada found in Guangxi, China, has many advantages, such as good quality and strong adaptability. In this paper, an attempt was made to introduce the breeding process of GH3, including a brief description of its botanical characteristics and its cultivation and management techniques in karst rocky desertification mountains. Meanwhile, its quality-related parameters were evaluated by widely targeted metabolomic analysis. This study indicated that GH3 had the typical botanical characteristics of V. adenoclada, but with larger fruit and a higher sugar content compared to wild or other V. adenoclada grape varieties. Metabolomic study of the target variety showed that glucose and citric acid were the main sugar and acid components in fully ripened berries. Moreover, cyanidin-3-O-glucoside presented as the characteristic anthocyanin. In addition, B-ring dihydroxylation was more active than trihydroxylation in the GH3 berry. Several of its botanical and quality characteristics highlight the unique genetic background of this variety. Thus, it has an important guiding significance and a scientific theoretical basis for identifying, exploiting, and utilizing East Asian wild grape resources.
