Abstract Pymetrozine plays an important role in agriculture safety supervision. Accurate and rapid detection of pymetrozine in real sample is count for much as this is the significant prerequisite for its effective monitoring. An effective and sensitive voltammetric sensor, based on single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNT) composite poly(L-arginine) film modified glassy carbon electrode, was fabricated, and used for determination of pesticide pymetrozine. Results suggests that the poly(L-arginine)/SWCNT modified electrode exhibited a very low limit of detection. In addition, selectivity, long-term stability, and practical applicability of the developed sensor were evaluated. Hence, the developed poly(L-arginine)/SWCNT/GCE displayed excellent electrochemistry behavior towards the sensing of pymetrozine with good sensitivity, selectivity, and reproducibility. The detection technique successfully achieved the determination of pymetrozine in the concentration range 0.05μM ∼1.0μM with the detection limits of 17 nM (S/N=3).

Porous Ti-Nb-Ta-Zr alloys for biomedical applications were successfully fabricated by PM. The microstructure, cycle compressive and electrochemistry behavior were studied. It results that the porous structure of Ti-Nb-Ta-Zr with 0.8 GPa Young’s modulus, 2.7% pseudoelastic strain ratio and-0.44 V corrosion potential in SBF, can be applied to the trabecular bone prosthesis or bone substitute for spinal vertebral body.

Glassy carbon electrodes (GCEs) were modified by TiO2 and Ag/TiO2 heterostructured nanobelts, respectively. The corresponding electrodes were marked as TiO2/GCE and Ag/TiO2/GCE, respectively. The electrochemical properties of Ag/TiO2/GCE had good and stable electrochemical characteristics in phosphate buffer solution (PBS), and it can be applied to the trace detection of L-cysteine. When the concentration of L-cysteine is in 10-7 order of magnitude, it is more sensitive.

Electrochemistry experiments such as polarization curve and alternating-current impedance are adopted to study the electrochemistry behavior of Fe-Cr-Ni alloy (Inconel 690 alloy) in the caustic solution of 50% NaOH +0.3%SiO2+0.3%Na2S2O3. The results show that Inconel 690 alloy appears two anodic passivation areas, the passivation of the alloy elements Cr and Ni mainly contributes to the lower potential passivation area and the higher potential passivation area is mainly attributed to the passivation effect of the alloy elements Fe and Ni, especially the later. When Na2S2O is added into the high-temperature caustic solution, it can accelerate the anodic dissolution of Inconel690 alloy, retard or impede its passivation and decrease the stability of the surface passivation film, which is mainly attributed to the effect of Na2S2O3 on the anodic polarization behavior of Ni.
