Scoliosis is mainly caused by the spinal column deviating from its centerline during the growth process. It usually occurs in children aged 3–7 years old. After a detailed analysis of the existing scoliosis detection methods, this paper compares and analyzes the advantages of using multimedia image processing technology to check scoliosis in children aged 3–7 years and uses an adaptive multiobjective differential evolution algorithm to perform scoliosis comprehensive testing. Finally, the experimental analysis shows that the adaptive multiobjective differential evolution algorithm is applied to scoliosis detection to analyze the characteristics of children's cervical spine curvature and the relationship between the cervical spine curvature and the scoliosis angle.

Image carries more information about the ideas than text. Growth of social media, images has become the universal language because it is more interactive. Images are used in different fields like medical, multimedia, industries etc. When using the images, we need to find effective storage and transmission methods to reduce storage size and transmission time. Lossless and lossy are two ways to compress the image to reduce the storage and transmission time. The proposed method implements the concept of lossless image compression using the method of Kronecker delta notation, wavelet based on Birge-Massart strategy and parity strategy. This paper presents that enhancing the image by applying the Kronecker delta notation as the mask and applying the wavelet based on Birge-Massart strategy, finally applying the parity threshold to compress the image. The proposed method is compared the compression ratio (CR) with the existing lossless compression methods such as Birge – Massart without the enhanced method and Unimodal method. This proposed algorithm is very simple and more efficient to reduce the storage capacity and maintain the quality of an image than the existing lossless compression techniques. The experimental result shows that the Birge-Massart strategy combined with Kronecker mask and parity threshold produces the best CR than the simple Birge- Massart(without enhancement and threshold) strategy. This efficient method is proved by without loss of information of an original image with low MSE, high PSNR and high CR. An experimental result shows that the proposed algorithm achieved maximum CR of 146% on medical images and maximum CR of 19.2% on standard images than the existing methods.

Cross language information retrieval (CLIR) is a retrieval process in which the user fires queries in one language to retrieve information from another (different) language. The diversity of information and language barriers are the serious issues for communication and cultural exchange across the world. To solve such barriers, Cross language information retrieval system, are nowadays in strong demand. CLIR is a subset of Information Retrieval (IR) system. Information Retrieval deals with finding useful information from a large collection of unstructured, structured and semi-structured data to a user query where the query is a set of keywords. Information Retrieval can be classified into different classes such as Monolingual information retrieval, Bi-Lingual Information Retrieval, Multilingual information retrieval and Cross language information retrieval. This paper focuses on the various IR variants and techniques used in CLIR system. Further, based on available literature, a number of challenges and issues in CLIR have been identified and discussed. It gives an overview of the advantages, limitations, tools available in CLIR research. It also describes new application areas of CLIR such as medical, multimedia, question answering system etc. The need for exploring and building more specialized information system that enable speakers of an Odia language to discover valuable information beyond linguistic and cultural barriers. This study is aimed at building an experimental CLIR system between one of the under-resourced language (i.e. Odia) and one of the most commonly used online language (i.e. English) in future.

Introduction:Electronic medical healthcare systems are becoming the backbone of health organizations over the world. The huge amounts of medical multimedia produced by these systems especially images and videos are transmitted by the computer networks that connect these systems. The variability in the shape and texture of transferred medical multimedia data needs adaptable procedures to process these data efficiently. In other words, these procedures must adjust automatically based on the shape of region of interests in the medical multimedia images to cope with fast changes in the healthcare environments. In this paper, we have proposed shape adaptable watermarking approaches for medical multimedia processing systems. The medical images generated by X-rays, MRI and CT modalities are used in our experiments to test proposed approaches. In addition, these approaches were tested under different kinds of signal processing and geometric attacks. The comparative comparison of our proposed approaches with state-of-art approaches proved the superiority and capability of our approaches to adjust the number of selected subands of medical cover image to embed and extract the hospital watermark logos. Background and Objective:The development of an adjustable approach to process medical multimedia signals for healthcare system. The aim of this research is to select adaptably the number of subands of cover image to hide the information of hospital logo watermark inside them such that embedded watermarks can resist different kinds of attacks.Method:The proposed adjustable approach consists of suband selection method, criterion, embedding and extraction procedures, DWT transform, attacks, evaluation metrics, etc. Results & Conclusion:It provides robust and adjustable method to embed and extract watermark logo at different resolution levels of cover medical image and uses with images of different sizes and modalities.
