Abstract The bevel gear transmission with crossed axes is widely used, but there are the difficulty of tooth profile calculation and modeling in the design and manufacturing process. This paper analyzes firstly the parameter solving equation of the bevel gear pair with arbitrary crossed axes. Based on the meshing principle of the bevel gear pair and numerical analysis method, the meshing equations of the bevel gear pair with crossed axes are derived, which provide the calculation models for the design of spatial bevel gear tooth surface. Taking the bevel gear pair with crossed axes in two kinds of the knotter as two design examples, the geometric parameters of the bevel gear pair in the knotter are solved, and the mathematical models of the tooth surface are programmed and calculated by using MATLAB. Through the graphic display of the tooth surface point set under MATLAB software and the 3D modeling function of Pro/Engineering software, the accurate 3D models of the bevel gear tooth surface are established. The meshing transmission simulations of the established bevel gear pair are respectively carried out by using ADAMS, and their physical prototype and transmission tests are also implemented. The test results showed that the transmission of the designed bevel gear pair is accurate and stable, which proves the correctness of the derived calculation model of the tooth surface of the bevel gear with crossed axes.

Abstract A general model is developed, and on its basis, there are special models formulated of the grinding process with crossed axes of the tool and workpiece with a profile in the form of a circle arc. A new method of control of the grinding process is proposed, which will provide processing by equidistant curves, and the amount of cutting of a circle equal to the allowance. This will increase the productivity and quality of grinding. The presented method of grinding implements the processing with the spatial contact line of the tool and workpiece. When the axes are crossed, the contact line is stretched, which leads to an increase of the contact area and, accordingly, to a decrease of the temperature in the processing area. This allows processing of workpieces with more productive cutting conditions.

The final surface quality of the part and its geometric dimensions are formed by grinding operations.Research of the param-eters of grinding with an oriented tool in the blunting mode is an urgent task, since it will provide an increase in processing productivity. The operation of the tool in the bluntness mode provides the necessary geometric shapes of the part and surface roughness.On the other hand, this operating mode of the wheel is accompanied by clogging and a decrease in the cutting ability of the tool.Therefore, it is necessary to research the heat tension of the grinding process under these processing conditions. There are methods of deep grinding with crossed axes of the tool and a cylindrical part and a method of longitudinal circular multi-pass grinding of a part with the periphery of a cylindrical circle a exist. Uninvestigated parts of general matters defining. The experimental research of the finishing single pass grinding of the cylindrical surface of the shaft with an oriented tool are absent. The research objective. To ensure high quality requirements, geometrical dimensions and accuracy of cylindrical parts, it is necessary to improve existing ones or develop new effective methods for finishing. The statement of basic materials. To ensure the processing of cylindrical shafts in a single pass with a uniform distribution of the allowance along the periphery of the grinding wheel, a method of finishing single pass grinding of the cylindrical surface of the shaft with an oriented tool is used. Conclusions. Experimentally determined active power during finishing single pass grinding, depending on the size of the allowance and the longitudinal feed. The temperature distribution during processing was determined. The roughness of the processed surface of the part is Ra = 0,63 – 1,25 μm.

The proposed method of milling curvilinear surfaces on CNC machines, where in one pass, roughing and finishing milling of all cams takes place.

Abstract In the article the method of grinding with crossed axes of the tool and the workpiece got further developed. The work discloses a method of processing details having an external surface with a profile in the form of an arc of a circle of variable radius (for example, rolls of pipe rolling mills). The particular three-dimensional geometric models of the processing, shaping and profiling of abrasive wheels have been developed. A method for controlling the grinding process, which ensures the removal of allowances along equidistant curves has been offered. The developed method of grinding provides a constant depth of cutting according to the coordinate of profile processing. This is achieved at the expense of the synchronous inclination of the wheel and its insertion by the size of the allowance. The diameter of grinding wheel affects on the maximum angle of orientation of the wheel has been proven. It has been shown that increasing the diameter of the abrasive wheel has led to a slight decrease in value orientation angle.

Worm gear set is composed by the worm and worm wheel. It is an important transmission device for crossed axes transmission with high gear ratio. Worm gears can be produced in several ways, depending on the size of the transmission, the number of threads, the type of the worm and the purpose of application, etc. The contact is highly related to the precision of tooth profile. The best way to control the characteristic of contact is done by the modified worm profile. This paper deals with the manufacture of ZI-Worm whose theoretical tooth surface is generated by a screw motion of a straight line. In order to manufacture the worm with modified high precision tooth profile, the most important consideration is how to develop the profile of the grinding wheel in the worm grinding process. It is the essential requirement for the development of grinding machine for the worm. This article therefore deals with the problems of how to generate the profile of the grinding wheel. By the development of the grinding machine, we can complete the worm surface and tools for the production.
