During ships maneuvering, the main cause of accidents is that navigators do not always objectively assess the situation and may make wrong decisions on the identification situation of a dangerous approach  and  a  collision  hazard.  The  automation  of  the  deviation  course  choice  is  considered  as  the automation avoidance process. Purpose. The article highlights the tasks of formalizing the deviation course as a value of automatic control, and proposes the development of an algorithm for the strategy of changing the course. Methodology. Conducted processing of practical data of own vessel. The existing models of the ship's movement were analyzes, as well as the systems for the automatic stabilization of the ship. To construct the algorithm, the COLREGs–72 was decomposed with respect to the belonging of the initial situation of the vessels to one of the areas of mutual obligations. Findings. According to the results of the given theme, an algorithm of the general strategy of choosing the course of evasion of the vessel was developed, considering the requirements of COLREG–72 rules. It were considered the types of control of automatic regulators and their limitations at the initial and final moments of the ship's turn. It was found out. It is necessary to create a multilevel mathematical description, which will include subsystems of different levels, to build a model of an integrated control system. Originality. It was determined the efficiency of using the principle of execution of ship’s turns by the method of observation with a given influence by analyzing the existing models of ship’s movement. It was offered to use the range of acceptable values of courses during the development of the model of automation ship avoidance process. Practical value. An algorithm for the general strategy of automation of the avoidance course selection was developed.

Abstract The approach to formalization of complex organizational and technical systems based on the toposes theory is substantiated. The article presents a review of the literature on the formalization of knowledge. An integrated control system for technical complexes is considered. The description of blocks of intelligent information and control systems based on the toposes theory is developed. An algorithm for formalizing intelligent information and control systems and an example of constructing toposes and functors for the general case are presented. The conclusion is made about the possibility of applying the proposed approach to the formalization of the intelligent information and control systems in the process of formation of their appearance.

The present study aimed to assess the effectiveness of pheromone traps of adults of Tuta absoluta in 4 potential tomato production areas in Algeria: Tipaza (Center), Mostaganem (West), Jijel (East) and Biskra (South), during the 2012-2014 campaigns. Two tomato greenhouses were considered for each zone in which, one was protected by the setup of pheromone traps and the other as an insecticide sprayed control. Tomato leaf samples were taken from each greenhouse, each month of each year according to the areas of studies to calculate the rates of infestation. Higher infestation rates were recorded in the greenhouses with local agricultural practices (control) compared with those protected by pheromone traps. With the use of the pheromone traps, a remarkable reduction affected the infestation of the greenhouses in the 4 studied areas during the years 2012 to 2014. The southern area seemed to be the most infested and at a least degree the areas of the West, the Center and the East, respectively. The temporal evolution of infestation rates showed an increase since January until July with June and July showing the higher infestation rates. These results showed the efficacy of trapping of T. absoluta males and the importance of their sustainable use in the integrated control system against this devastating insect in Algeria.

Abstract Drivers’ behaviors are directly influenced by human beings and have different reactions. Artificial intelligence is a powerful tool to learn and predict the traffic effects according to drivers’ behavior and make predictions more effective to support hazardous material traffic management. This paper presents a proposal using deep learning, simulation, and performance analysis of road systems with improvement in hazardous materials transportation control. The analysis compares the reduction of accident detection time with their consequences such as damages caused by traffic jams, damages to human health, and environmental damages. The reduction in detection time is provided by the use of smartphones and an integrated control system for tracking, management, monitoring, and control of hazardous materials transportation.
