The geospatial Web enables virtually everyone to contribute to the growing col-lection of geographically referenced information on the World-Wide Web. In this chapter, we present a Google Maps-based tool that enables Web users to contribute two types of informa-tion: annotations and their reference locations. We further differentiate annotations into obser-vations and opinions regarding specific places. The potential of this approach for integrating lo-cal knowledge into environmental planning was assessed by conducting an online map-based discussion of organic farming among expert stakeholders in the Kawarthas area in Central On-tario, Canada. The discussion contents shed light on the participants’ perceptions of the organic food market. Moreover, the experiment demonstrated how a map-based discussion forum can be useful for obtaining public input on planning and policy issues.

The relevance of the study is to develop a methodology for monitoring manufacturing objects us-ing unmanned aerial vehicles formed as a result of mining operations. The Tashtagol iron ore deposit is located in the south of the Kemerovo region in Gornaya Shoria, and is being worked underground. The development of the reserves of the South-Eastern section has been carried out since 2004 by the Tashtagol branch of company Evrazruda. A special feature of the South-Eastern section reserves min-ing is the operation of protected objects within the zone of potential hazardous displacements, as a re-sult of which, presumably in November 2017, a sinkhole was formed in the area of Mount Boulanger. The aim of the work is to describe the method of monitoring the determination of the geometric dimensions of the sinkhole in different periods of time using an unmanned aerial vehicle. The sinkhole development has been monitored since 2018. As a result, this study determines the geometric dimensions of the sinkhole in different periods of obser-vations, and calculates the average sinkhole increase dynamics of the per year.

Blue swimming crab (Portunus pelagicus) is an important economical fishery commodity for fishermen in Banten Bay that are caught using gill nets and collapsible traps. The increasing of fishing pressure has highly potential to reduce the quality of the catch as exposed in previous studies. However, the comprehensive, and time series analysis of the previous research results have not been conducted. The purpose of this study is to analyze the variations of blue swimming crab caught in Banten Bay through a combination of meta-analysis techniques, fishing trials and field obser-vations to determine the effect of fishing activities on swimming crab sizes, and evaluate the status of swimming crab fisheries in Banten Bay. Standard mean difference from 10 different studies was used as a meta-analysis parameter. The results of the meta-analysis showed that fishing activities were conducted from 2004 to 2018 had a significant effect on the decreasing of the swimming crab size. The average of swimming crab carapace width caught in 2019 approximately 121.66 mm. The proportion of legal swimming crabs in 2014, 2015 and 2019 was more than 80%, so that the status of swimming crab fisheries in Banten Bay is still environmentally friendly. Keywords: carapace width, meta analysis, fisheries, Portunus pelagicus, blue swimming crab

The aim of the paper is both to determine whether joint-stock companies in poor financial condition undertake real activities manipulation to manage earnings, and to investigate the potential relationship between the scope of real activities manipulation and business fields in which these companies are operating. The database of the Notoria Serwis company and panel data models were used for the purpose of the study. In order to measure the scale of real earnings manipulation, the author adopted Roychowdhury’s methodology, focusing on the manipulation of sales, production costs and discretionary expenses. The study examined a sample of non-financial joint-stock companies listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange in the period 1998–2016, and was based on 1493–1669 obser-vations. The results demonstrated that companies in poor financial condition undertake actions to manage earnings. Managers manipulate sales volumes and reduce levels of discretionary expenses. The intensity of those actions depends on the type of business activity of a given company.

Disposition effects can be positive but can also have a negative impact on capital market activity. Positive if the behavior of selling or holding the assets is done after obtaining enough information on the investments, so that the market becomes dynamic, in the contrary, it will be negative if the behavior of selling / holding the assets by investors on the basis of not wanting to lose or because of the expectations in the future could lead to destruction or financial crisis. These behavior in some research causing the market unstable while other did not find disposition appear in their market. This research is to examine whether there is a behavior of the disposition effect before the crisis, during the crisis, and after the financial crisis of 2013 on the Indonesian capital market. The data of LQ45 group companies are used in this study with 810 obser-vations as the data of disposition effect base on investor trading through brokerage firm. The results show that there is no disposition effect behavior in financial crisis especially as what happened in Indonesia in 2013

An agent that autonomously learns to act in its environment must acquire a model of the domain dynamics. This can be a challenging task, especially in real-world domains, where observations are high-dimensional and noisy. Although in automated planning the dynamics are typically given, there are action schema learning approaches that learn sym- bolic rules (e.g. STRIPS or PDDL) to be used by traditional planners. However, these algorithms rely on logical descriptions of environment observations. In contrast, recent methods in deep reinforcement learning for games learn from pixel observations. However, they typically do not acquire an environment model, but a policy for one-step action selec- tion. Even when a model is learned, it cannot generalize to unseen instances of the training domain. Here we propose a neural network-based method that learns from visual obser- vations an approximate, compact, implicit representation of the domain dynamics, which can be used for planning with standard search algorithms, and generalizes to novel domain instances. The learned model is composed of submodules, each implicitly representing an action schema in the traditional sense. We evaluate our approach on visual versions of the standard domain Sokoban, and show that, by training on one single instance, it learns a transition model that can be successfully used to solve new levels of the game.

This paper presents an over view of the largest repositories of written histor y in the state of Hidalgo. It repor ts the author’s findings and obser vations, gathered throughout archives in Pachuca and the rest of the state, which show the main flaws detected in the way most of these archives operate, particularly outside the state’s capital, and the problems generated during their use. The author’s diagnosis detects cer tain questions per taining to the formation and existence of public archives, which require urgent attention because these elements place them in risk situations.
