Abstract Background: Mutations in the mitochondrial translation optimization 1 (MTO1) gene can cause hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. Although the functional role of MTO1 deficiency in certain cells is gradually confirmed, the phenotype of MTO1 deficiency in a lymphoblastoid cybrid line is not yet reported. In this study, we characterized changes of mitochondrial function in MTO1 silenced cybrid cells derived from human lymphoblastoids, immature white blood cells that give rise to lymphocytes. Results: We showed that MTO1 silence decreased the levels of 2-thiourylation of mitochondrial tRNALys, tRNAGlu, and tRNAGln, nevertheless, the aminoacylation efficiency of tRNALys and the steady state of mitochondrial tRNAs were elevated. These aberrant tRNA changes caused a significant decrease in protein levels of oxidative phosphorylation complex subunits including complex I, III, IV and V. Furthermore, dysfunctional mitochondria promoted apoptosis in stress, evidenced by elevated ratios of apoptotic cells and increased levels of apoptosis-activated proteins in the MTO1 knockdown cell lines, as compared to the controls. Conclusions: Our data provide new insights into the important functional role of MTO1 in lymphoblastoid mitochondria. We envision the cybrid cell line approach we have established provides an alternative model for the cardiac tissue of high-energy demands characteristics, and they hold promises for the diagnosis and drug screening for the therapeutic agents of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy caused by MTO1 dysfunction.

In order to study machine translation more in-depth, it is particularly important for the research of artificial intelligence with fuzzy algorithms to convert an unfamiliar language into a mature language. The neural network translation model has been developed in recent years and has achieved rich research results. Aiming at the current lack of accuracy of neural machine translation (NMT), which may cause ambiguity, this paper takes English machine translation as an example and proposes an artificial intelligence machine translation optimization model based on fuzzy theory. On the basis of NMT model translation, first the semantics of English machine translation is classified, a semantic selection model is built, then the analytic hierarchy process is used to determine the semantic order of English machine translation, and the corresponding fault-tolerant operation is carried out to the error-prone errors, weight the semantics, and introduce the fuzzy theory to arrange the English semantics of English machine translation. Finally, the performance of the model is analyzed through specific application experiments. The results show that the accuracy of the machine translation selection permutation model is improved by nearly 4.5% and can reach more than 90% compared with other models, and the timeliness is better than other models, which is improved by nearly 15%, which has obvious advantages.

Circular RNAs (circRNAs) are a recently discovered type of covalently-closed circular non-coding RNAs, mainly formed by non-sequential back-splicing of precursor mRNAs (pre-mRNAs). Recent studies have demonstrated that circRNAs can have either oncogenic or tumor-suppressor roles depending on the cellular context. CircRNA mitochondrial tRNA translation optimization 1 (circMTO1), a recently reported circular RNA originating from exons of MTO1 located on chromosome 6q13, was proved to be abnormally expressed in many malignant tumors, such as hepatocellular carcinoma, gastric carcinoma and colorectal cancer, resulting in tumor initiation and progression. However, there are no reviews focusing on the roles of circMTO1 in cancer. Here, we first summarize the main biological characteristics of circMTO1, and then focus on its biological functions and the possible underlying molecular mechanisms. Finally, we summarize the roles of circMTO1 in cancer and discuss future prospects in this area of research.

The article is dedicated to the problem of the interdisciplinary character which is also urgent for psycholinguistics and translation studies. In the focus of the analysis there are linguistic means of representing persuasion strategy in English advertising texts in beauty-industry and the key translation strategies, tactics and devices. It has been concluded that the dominant ones are the strategy of re-addressing and of tertiary translation, while the most widely occurred tactics are the tactic of rendering relevant information, the tactic correct presentation and the tactic of linguistic and cultural adaptation. The analysis of the translation devices has revealed the predominance of such simple devices as transplantation, transcoding, different types of replacements (contextual replacement, concretization, functional replacement). On the level of complex translation transformations there has been resumed that the most widely used are descriptive translation, antonymous translation and the technique of semantic development. The research is perspective and its findings may be employed as a means of translation optimization in the field of beauty industry.

This work is devoted to the description of the project of updating the technology of algorithmic language application created in the USSR in the 60s of the XX century by V. F. Turchin. The language was originally intended for various logical transformations primarily of text material. In practice, the scope was wider: machine translation, optimization and compilation of programs, proof of theorems, modeling of complex electronic circuits, solving a number of problems of artificial intelligence. The language now has a sufficient number of followers, mainly in scientific circles. The objective of the described project is to create a product that allows the use of Refal in modern mass applications and to expand the range of its potential users to the entire Internet. A survey of the community of users and developers of Refal was conducted in order to get an idea of the current state of Affairs, current implementations and ways of language development. Possible means of project implementation were considered. No information was received on similar developments under way.
