A pedal-operated cleaner-cum-grader having common bicycle chain-sprocket mechanism to get the speeds of 240 and 720 rpm of eccentric shaft and blower shaft, respectively for the desired cleaning/grading of grains was developed earlier by CIAE, Bhopal. Also, in order to utilize the human energy in more efficient way through pedalling mode, CIAE has recently developed a dynapod. The dynapod is a pedal operated rotary device, which can be used as an interface between human worker and any rotary-type machine. The developed dynapod was used to operate the cleaner-cum-grader to assess the drudgery reduction in its operation in comparison to original pedalling mechanism. The dynapod was interfaced with the cleaner-cum-grader by carrying out minor modifications in the original unit. Eight male agricultural workers with mean stature and weight as 168.4 cm and 54.4 kg, respectively participated in the study. The cleaner-cum-grader was used for cleaning and grading of soybean grains. Heart rate of the workers was measured during operation of cleaner-cum-grader using the dynapod as well as the original pedalling mechanism. Mean working heart rate during operation of machine with original pedalling mechanism was 114 beats min-1 as against 108 beats min-1 in case of pedalling with dynapod. The work pulse (ÄHR) with the original pedalling mechanism was 35 beats min-1 as against 29 beats min-1 during pedalling with dynapod. The output capacity of the machine increased from 303 kg h-1 in case of original pedalling mechanism to 345 kg h-1 with dynapod. Considering the cardiac cost as well as output of the machine, the drudgery reduction by using dynapod with cleaner-cum-grader was about 25.4% as compared to the original pedalling mechanism.

The parametric identification of the mechanism of vertical guidance of the support-rotary device of the measuring antenna complex is carried out. The transfer function is defined, which is presented as a model of the control object. The results of experimental studies allow to determine the average speed of movement of the pivoting device on the corner of the place with the required supply voltage. An integrator and a transfer function of the controller are introduced into the algorithm of the control scheme of the object position. The developed scheme of the control system allows to provide the dynamics corresponding to this speed. The block diagram of the control system implementing the necessary dynamics of the object is given. The control algorithm with the controller is studied using the Matlab 7.9.0 software package. The article presents the logarithmic frequency characteristics of open and closed systems. According to the results of the proposed method of synthesis of the controller for the device, the time of the transient process of the installation is determined; a smooth stop of the device is provided, oscillations are eliminated.

This paper describes the development and operation of a small parts coating device in an electrophoretic manner. The cataphoretic coating process is nowadays highly desirable and generates a continuous coating against corrosion. The aim of the research is to find solutions or innovations to coat small parts in bulk. Small parts are inserted inside the device and painted in a cataphoretic manner. Painting is based on rotary device and random contact between small parts and cathode.

Aerodrome-enroute surveillance radar systems (ARSR) of civil aviation are designed for detection of aerial objects and determination of their range and movement parameters. Meanwhile, the reflector-type antennas are still the main type of_used antenna systems. Radars (ARSR) have, as a rule, antennas with a bidirectional beam, structurally reflector-type antenna is made in the form of a truss welded structure. The use of active phased antenna arrays (APAR) is a promising direction of radars (ARSR) development. Radars (ARSR) based on the phased antenna arrays can significantly improve such critical tactical and technical criteria as: the accuracy of the coordinates determination, the number of simultaneously followed targets. However, the use of APAR does not solve one of the main problems - the presence of a support-rotary device in the radar (ARSR). The principal necessity of a support-rotary device leads to the need of the use of movable joints of feeder lines, which, with a significant number of antenna elements used in the PAR, significantly reduces the potential time before failure. It seems promising to use in the radar antenna systems based on several stationary multi-beam dual-reflector antennas made by axially asymmetric scheme. Methodology of estimation of aberrations of a dual-reflector sensimetrics antenna based on a polynomial expansion of the eikonal function in the plane of the aperture of the main reflector is proposed in the article. Analytical expressions of the functions of display and rotation of the scanning plane of a dual-reflector axially asymmetric antenna with arbitrary parameters, designed based on clippings from centrally symmetric surfaces of rotation of the second order, are obtained. It is shown that the aplanatic antennas lose their scanning features during the transition to the axially asymmetric variant.

Представлено результати розробки безприводного ротаційного органу адаптера до сівалки просапних культур. Проведено аналіз робочих органів ґрунтообробних машин; обґрунтовано ґрунтообробний адаптер; визначено кути афронтальності й нахилу дискового  органу; проведено порівняльну оцінку показників твердості ґрунту; визначено раціональні параметри і режими роботи робочого органу; визначено фракційний склад ґрунту та розпушення робочим органом; проведено  дослідження з визначення раціонального кута φ робочого органу; встановлено поздовжній профіль насіннєвого ложа; виконано співвідношення ширини і глибини обробленої смуги; визначено коефіцієнти к1 і к2  у формулі тягового опору безприводного ротаційного органу. Для  підвищення якості передпосівного обробітку ґрунту запропоновано адаптер із безприводним ротаційним органом до сівалок, який складається з поперечної балки рами, на якій розташовані секції безприводного ротаційного органу. Для копіювання профілю поля кожна секція забезпечена паралелограмною підвіскою і підпружиненою штангою. Крім поперечної балки  рама адаптера складається з двох автозчіпок, які слугують для агрегатування з трактором, а автозчеплення з сівалкою, пов'язаних між собою поздовжніми балками.  Проведено випробування результатів науково-дослідної роботи, яким підтверджено ефективність та доцільність для використання у господарстві ПП Агрофірма «Анастасія» Глобинського району Полтавської області. The article presents the results of the development of a non-rotating rotational organ of the soil-working adapter to a seed drill of cultivating crops. The analysis of working bodies of soil-working machines was carried out; the constructive-technological scheme of the soil-working adapter is substantiated; defined angles of inclination and inclination of the disc body; comparative estimation of soil hardness indexes; defined rational parameters and operating modes of the working body; determined fractional composition of soil and loosening by the working body;  researches have been conducted to determine the rational angle φ of the working organ; the longitudinal profile of the seed bed is established; the ratio of the width and depth of the treated strip is executed; the coefficients k1 and k2 in the formula of the traction resistance of the non-driven rotational body are determined. To improve the quality of pre-sowing soil cultivation, an adapter with a rotary rotary device to the seeders is proposed. It consists of a transverse beam of a frame, on which, with the help of brackets, there are sections of a non-rotating rotary body. To copy the field profile, each section is provided with a parallelogram suspension and a spring-loaded rod. In addition to the transverse beam of the adapter frame consists of two auto-scraps, which serve for aggregating with the tractor, and auto-coupling with a drill, connected by a longitudinal beam. The testing of research results has been carried out, which confirms the efficiency and expediency for use in the farm of the PP agricultural firm «Anastasia» in Globyno district, Poltava region.

Objective: To develop a mathematical model and program for defining rational technological parameters and operation mode of a rotary device for tamping the ballast bed in the tie space area. Establish the veracity of calculations performed using the mathematical model and program developed via mathematical and physical experiments. Methods: Experimental and theoretical research conducted. Results: Established veracity of the mathematical model and program for calculating the technological parameters and operation mode of the device for tamping the ballastbed in the tie space area. Practical importance: The program developed provides the ability to select rational technological parameters and operation mode for the device. It is recommended that it be used when creating tools for ballast bed solidification in the ballast box area.
