Talon cusp is a rare dental anomaly that occurs more frequently in maxillary incisors and is defined as a projection in the area of the cincture of anterior teeth that extends from the cemento-enamel junction or the region of the cincture, following towards the incisal face. An eight-year-old female patient was referred to the University of Ribeirão Preto Pediatric Dentistry Clinic (UNAERP) with suspicion of a supernumerary tooth on the palatal surface of tooth 12. During clinical and radiographic examination she found the presence of a conical-shaped enamel projection that presented a communication with the tooth 12 cincture and was thus classified as a talon cusp. Initially, prophylaxis and removal of the accumulated bacterial plaque were performed, verification of premature contact with paper for the joint and wear with a spherical diamond tip. FluroShield sealant was then applied following an adhesive protocol indicated by the manufacturer. After the necessary occlusal adjustments were made. 30 days later, the patient returned for clinical follow-up, reconversion and repolishing of the sealant. The talon cusp was diagnosed as Type I because it is morphologically well delineated and protrudes prominently from the palatal surface and extends at least halfway from the cemento-enamel junction to the incisal edge. It is recommended to seal the deep grooves to prevent caries. We can conclude that a rigorous clinical and radiographic examination leading to an early and accurate diagnosis is of extreme importance for the adoption of an adequate treatment.

A MANET network is made up of wireless nodes which operate without a defined structure, the arrangement of existing devices does not have any ministerial or control entity . the management tasks are carried out by the teams which are in the network, therefore a MANET network is said to be a managed network. As there is no infrastructure, such as, the bandwidth, availability, input error rate, among others, depend exclusively on the behaviour of the network users. This work presents a functional solution, which decreases the energy consumption in MANET networks, implemented using game theories and genetic  algorithms  solution. The evaluation of the pay-as-you-go strategy from the modified prisoner dilemma was shown to be an easy to implement and interpret tool for the network equipment.  The processes of generation, combination and  mutation  of  strategies  demonstrated the in-centive of cooperation in the network, observed in the increase of the average confidence of the nodes, a  very high  value.   The  intervention of the protocol with the  use  of  genetic  algorithms,  demonstrated  ot be  a  form  of  implementation  of  solutions  for problems of multiple agents, the increase in the evaluation of trust of the nodes was observed, which can be interpreted as a convergence of the nodes to cooperate. The results obtained in the simulations carried out show the functioning of the  algorithm implemented and the functionality  of  the  network  after  its  implementation.

The paper presents a new constructive and functional solution of flexible coupling with bolts and nonmetallic intermediary elements. The bolts have a special shape in the sense that they have a milled area on a certain length equal to the width of the non-metallic element, a cylindrical area that reduces the stress concentrators at the diameter passages. The novelty of this coupling consists of the existence of one intermediary disk between two semi couplings (driver and driven semi couplings). This is fixed by the semi-coupling on the right side, the intermediary disc having milled four locations in which to mount the left, as the right has a metal plate with a special shape of eight metallic plates that are mounted with screws in the four milled places processed on the intermediate disc. The nonmetallic elements have various forms and can be made from different qualities of rubber mounted on the bolts. Eight milled bolts (four on each semi-coupling) allow the transmission of the torsion moment in both directions of rotation, in one direction becoming rigid and thus behaving like a safety coupling. Finite element method is used to obtain the mechanical response of this new type of coupling.

Nowadays various tools for the successful implementation of projects are used. A set of Agile, Scrum, and Kanban methodologies helps us effectively plan, evaluate, work, communicate and make decisions. Modern software containing a wide range of functionality and flexibility of interface settings helps to visualize the project progress as one of the most important tasks. The aim of the work is to find the most flexible and functional solution for the project activities of small groups. Various solutions for effective teamwork are considered. The article contains the results of a comparative analysis of the Agile tools functionality presented on the market. Result of this analytical work is a set of options for collaboration optimal solution.

Abstract The development of multi-functional designs is one of the prime reasons to adopt bio-inspired design in engineering design. However, the development of multi-functional bio-inspired designs is mostly solution-driven, in the sense that an available multi-functional solution drives the search for a problem that can be solved by implementing the available solution. The solution-driven nature of the approach restricts the engineering designers to the use of the function combinations found in nature. On the other hand, a problem-driven approach to multi-functional designs allows the designers to form some combination of functions best suited for the problem at hand. However, few works exist in the literature that focus on the development of multi-functional bio-inspired solutions from a problem-driven perspective. In this work, we analyze the existing works that aid the designers in combining multiple biological strategies to develop multi-functional bio-inspired designs. The analysis is carried out by comparing and contrasting the existing frameworks that support multi-functional bio-inspired design generation. The criteria of comparison are derived from the steps involved in the unified problem-driven biomimetic approach. In addition, we qualitatively compare the multi-functional bio-inspired designs developed using existing frameworks to the multi-functional designs existing in biology. Our aim is to explore the capabilities and limitations of current methods to support the generation multi-functional bio-inspired designs.

Numerous reviews on hydrogen storage have previously been published. However, most of these reviews deal either exclusively with storage materials or the global hydrogen economy. This paper presents a review of hydrogen storage systems that are relevant for mobility applications. The ideal storage medium should allow high volumetric and gravimetric energy densities, quick uptake and release of fuel, operation at room temperatures and atmospheric pressure, safe use, and balanced cost-effectiveness. All current hydrogen storage technologies have significant drawbacks, including complex thermal management systems, boil-off, poor efficiency, expensive catalysts, stability issues, slow response rates, high operating pressures, low energy densities, and risks of violent and uncontrolled spontaneous reactions. While not perfect, the current leading industry standard of compressed hydrogen offers a functional solution and demonstrates a storage option for mobility compared to other technologies.

With the increasingly urgent demand for map conflation and timely data updating, data matching has become a crucial issue in big data and the GIS community. However, non-rigid deviation, shape homogenization, and uncertain scale differences occur in crowdsourced and official building data, causing challenges in conflating heterogeneous building datasets from different sources and scales. This paper thus proposes an automated building data matching method based on relaxation labelling and pattern combinations. The proposed method first detects all possible matching objects and pattern combinations to create a matching table, and calculates four geo-similarities for each candidate-matching pair to initialize a probabilistic matching matrix. After that, the contextual information of neighboring candidate-matching pairs is explored to heuristically amend the geo-similarity-based matching matrix for achieving a contextual matching consistency. Three case studies are conducted to illustrate that the proposed method obtains high matching accuracies and correctly identifies various 1:1, 1:M, and M:N matching. This indicates the pattern-level relaxation labelling matching method can efficiently overcome the problems of shape homogeneity and non-rigid deviation, and meanwhile has weak sensitivity to uncertain scale differences, providing a functional solution for conflating crowdsourced and official building data.
