Abstract— This paper proposes a method for modeling and verifying UML 2.0 sequence diagrams using SPIN/PROMELA. The key idea of this method is to generate models that specify behaviors of each object in the given UML 2.0 sequence diagrams. In this paper, I/O automata are used as the models to maintain the interaction among objects. This work also proposes a mechanism to translate these models into PROMELA to use SPIN for checking the correctness of the system. By ensuring software design correctness, several properties can be guaranteed such as safety, stability, and the fact that no vulnerability is left. A support tool for this method is presented and tested with some particular systems to show the accuracy and effectiveness of the proposed method. This approach has promising potential to be applied in practice.Tóm tắt— Bài báo này đề xuất một phương pháp để mô hình hóa và kiểm chứng biểu đồ trình tự UML 2.0 sử dụng SPIN/ PROMELA.

Abstract Traditional formwork design processes entail considerable waste, increasing non-value-adding manpower costs and operational time. The purpose of this research is to use lean thinking in formwork design so as to enhance design correctness and eliminate waste through establishing a Lean Formwork Design Process. In the design process, the concurrent design concept is adopted to provide a visual communication platform for design team members using Building Information Modeling (BIM). Industry Foundation Classes (IFC) are used as a protocol for sharing design artifacts. Design correctness is established to review and correct design errors, thus allowing for the construction of an organizational learning environment. Finally, the Lean Formwork Design Process is conceptualized using stock-flow diagrams. A real case is used to validate the applicability of the proposed approach. Application results show that the proposed method can enhance design correctness and reduce manpower waste and operational time in formwork engineering. This study is one of the first to apply lean thinking to improve practices in formwork design.

A method for forming a simplified model of steam generator which will be used in reactor coolant loop analysis has been shown here, as well as the modal analysis to this simplified SG model. This modal analysis results and the results of the SG provided by NPP designer are compared together in order to prove the design correctness. The comparison shows that the two are basically consistent.

AbstractCharacterization theory was developed in the 1970s by a member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, a prominent cybernetics V.A. Gorbatov, and became the nucleus of an international school. Many of today’s academy graduates make a new generation of scholars, more than 150 doctors and assistant professors, developing a new descriptive theory of cybernetic complex systems, based on the canon of the so-called characterization principle, binding the sets of y¥a functioning models and x¥bstructure models using the paradigm of monotone mappings of the considered system. This article presents an overview of the following problems: (1) the issues of functional-structural connection systems from the point of view of their design correctness; (2) the basic postulates of the characterization principle; (3) the nature of interaction between system objects; (4 and 5) mechanisms and functions for initiation of the operation; (6) the mechanisms of control and reaction functions; (7 and 8) the analytical form of initiation function and a network initialization function and (9) the axiom of extensionality (J), feasibility (R) and compatibility (Z).

The Qing-ling machine is the cleaning part of Comb-type cotton picker. Its working performance directly affects the complete machine efficiency. In order to improve popularizing rate of Comb-type cotton picker, combining with the cotton varieties, the plant characteristics, climatic conditions and the harvests requirements in Xinjiang, the reasonable structures, transmission system and design parameters of Qing-ling machine are put forward. Virtual prototypes of key components are set up under Pro/E. the kinetic simulation data are obtained by using ADAMS. Simulation results prove design correctness and provide relevant data for further research.
