Environmental management systems (EMS) require the assessment of environmental aspects to ensure that organizations recognize their most relevant impacts on the environment. The ecological scarcity method (ESM) provides weighting factors for environmental flows (pollutants and resources), called eco-factors (EF), applicable in the assessment of environmental aspects. EF are based on a distance-to-target approach, displaying the ratio of the current state to the respective policy targets for environmental flows. The ESM has been developed for Switzerland; however, for site-specific application beyond Switzerland, national EF are desirable. This publication presents a systematic procedure for the derivation of EF in an international framework, based on the investigation of eight countries worldwide and comprehensive data research. As a novel feature, the grouping of EF into sets is introduced, according to the character of the underlying policy target: legally based, intended policy, or expert recommendation. Overall, 134 EF for six environmental issues were calculated and applied in a case study from Volkswagen AG. An in-depth analysis identifies the differences between national EF and between sets of EF and discusses the implications for EMS. From the findings, general conclusions for future development and the application of EF in an international context of company management are derived.

The article analyses the consistency of sectoral and territorial industrial policy target benchmarks reflected in federal and regional strategic documents of territorial socio-economic systems. The results of a comparison of this benchmarks showed that there is no unified approach to defining goals, quantitative and qualitative composition of target indicators of industrial development not only among strategic documents of various nature (goal-setting, forecasting, territorial, sectoral), but also within sectoral documents of industrial development in Russia and its regions. There is also no clearly defined vertical decomposition of national priorities for industrial development according to the directions and levels of strategic planning of territorial socio-economic systems.

Abstract The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development (Agenda 2030) encompasses social, economic, and environmental commitments within a single global framework. However, experts have been warning that the ambitious nature of Agenda 2030’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDG s) might be lost in indicator-driven implementation. This article examines the assumption that SDG indicators result in policy shrinking (offering a less ambitious framing) by exploring how the framing of Agenda 2030’s gender commitments shifts from SDG s to their indicators. Employing critical frame analysis, this article shows that SDG global indicators result in policy shrinking of gender-specific targets in terms of their 1) human rights framing 2) overall scope, and 3) inclusivity of target groups. This policy shrinking does not necessarily undermine Agenda 2030, but it does call for greater attention, especially by actors promoting gender equality, to national interpretations of specific SDG targets and the inclusivity of otherwise marginalized policy target groups.

The several policies and initiatives has been taken to cope up the problem of agrarian distress, farmer suicides and to increase the farm employment across the different size classes of farming community The government of India (2016-17 budget) has set a policy target of doubling farmers’ income by 2022 by ensuring the food security and income. The present study has explored the trend and pattern of cost of cultivation of paddy and wheat crop across some major producing states over the time period as cost of cultivation is treated one side of the coin while farmers’ income is the other side of the coin. The trend and pattern of different cost, profit, growth rate and efficiency of inputs have estimated across states over time. The descriptive analysis has been done using the CCS data published by CACP. There exists spatio-temporal variation in different costs, profit and growth. Thus a detailed review is needed to identify the state-wise important determinants (inputs) for the cultivation and after identifying the inputs supportive action is required through public policies

This research shows that we all have realized the need for clean air and globally have regulated exhaust emissions from air pollution, so electric vehicles have emerged. But this phenomenon has an impact on belt companies that supply parts for CVT gasoline-powered automatic scooters because the majority of electric motors no longer need a belt as a drive transfer from the engine to the wheel. Simulated with a dynamic model for the projection of the next 20 years from 2019 to 2039, with two scenarios, namely COVID-19 and if the government's policy target of 20% of the motorbike market switches to electricity in 2025, then gradually increases to 30% in 2035. PT XYZ as a belt supplier with an 85% market share in Indonesia, will get a net profit of 50% if this scenario is achieved until 2039 became around 131 billion per year, previously with the no-scenario model it was projected to get a net profit of around 221 billion. Maybe if the demand for electric motorbikes is more than what the government has targeted, it is likely that the two-wheeled automotive belt business could be threatened in the next 15 - 20 years. Meanwhile, the largest Expense is the cost of imported materials, reaching 65% of the total cost of Expenses consisting of Salary Expenses (Salary Expense), total training costs, cost of sales, total loss costs, material costs, and Operating overhead Recommendations that business can survive, companies can reduce material costs by developing local materials, and help shape the automotive belt use ecosystem by working with automotive manufacturers.

Case studies exploring how educational policies can help teachers serve learners disadvantaged through cultural marginalization are urgently needed to inform education systems internationally. The study reported here explored perceptions of Pacific cultural values at the heart of education policy in New Zealand that were intended to improve opportunities of learners with Pacific heritage. Participants included early childhood, primary, secondary, and tertiary teachers of Pacific and non-Pacific heritage. Data included interviews and teaching observations. Results indicate that the Pacific values can be more deeply felt, understood, and enacted by Pacific teachers than their non-Pacific counterparts. Results are discussed in relation to tenets of culturally sustaining pedagogy and aspects of the Pacific-based Fonofale model. Implications of this work include that initial and in-service teacher education must assist teachers to develop working understandings of values as they are felt and experienced by policy target groups. This study contributes to the literature by discussing how a culturally-embedded model can be a useful tool towards ensuring teachers can understand cultural nuances inherent within educational policy and align their practice with these. Keywords: policy; cultural values; Pacific nations; teacher perspectives; initial teacher education; teacher professional development
