Introduction. Starfish (Asteroidea) are marine echinoderms with more than 160 species. Starfish are a valuable source of protein and fats. The present research featured the chemical composition of starfish, which can be used as a commercial source of lipids. Study objects and methods. The study defined the optimal parameters for extracting the lipid fraction of Lysastrosoma anthosticta with supercritical carbon dioxide, as well as the qualitative composition of the obtained extracts. Results and discussion. The yield of fatty acids obtained with supercritical carbon dioxide co-solvent was 1.8 times higher than that obtained with standard extraction according to the Folch method. The content of impurities was lower than in the samples with chloroform-methanol system. The polyunsaturated fatty acids isolated from L. anthosticta mainly belonged to ω-3 (18.0%), ω-6 (11.7%), ω-7 (21.2%), ω-9 (10.1%), and ω-11 (6.5%). The rest was saturated fatty acids, mainly palmitic (14%) and myristic (6%). The qualitative composition of the lipid fraction did not depend significantly from the isolation method. However, the supercritical extraction increased the product yield, extraction rate, and the quality of the extraction residue. Supercritical carbon dioxide left a dry residue, which had no typical smell and was brittle enough for grinding. Such residue can presumably be used to produce protein concentrate. Conclusion. Supercritical extraction with chloroform can be recommended to isolate fatty acids from marine organisms at 60°C and 400 bar.

Background: Sterols are the main components of fungal membranes. Inhibiting their biosynthesis is the mode of action of azole antifungal drugs that are widely used to treat fungal disease including aspergillosis. Azole resistance has emerged as a matter of concern but little is known about sterols biosynthesis in azole resistant Aspergillus fumigatus. Methods: We explored the sterol composition of 12 A. fumigatus isolates, including nine azole resistant isolates with TR34/L98H, TR46/Y121F/T289A or TR53 alterations in the cyp51A gene and its promoter conferring azole resistance. Modifications in sterol composition were also investigated after exposure to two azole drugs, itraconazole and voriconazole. Results: Overall, under basal conditions, sterol compositions were qualitatively equivalent, whatever the alterations in the target of azole drugs with ergosterol as the main sterol detected. Azole exposure reduced ergosterol composition and the qualitative composition of sterols was similar in both susceptible and resistant isolates. Interestingly TR53 strains behaved differently than other strains. Conclusions: Elucidating sterol composition in azole-susceptible and resistant isolates is of interest for a better understanding of the mechanism of action of these drugs and the mechanism of resistance of fungi.

Abstract It is recognized that the objects of the hunting economy are populations of game animals. However, there is no term “population” in current Russian legislation, the undefined expression “hunting resources” is used instead. The monitoring of the hunting resources status is currently limited by regulatory documents only to the analysis of materials based on the winter route census (WRC). This is insufficient to establish the nature of population dynamics, acquire knowledge about population cycles in different populations, and collect the data on the qualitative composition of populations and their changes over time. For hunting providers, simple methods of collecting and processing material on the qualitative composition of populations are offered. They can be carried out both during the hunting season and during the purchase of products from hunters. Systematic observations and analysis of the obtained materials will allow accumulating knowledge about a specific exploited population. Hunting providers should use different methods of registration of hunting animals to monitor exploited populations. To control registration, state game wardens can use the WRC. The state control should proceed from the confidence in the results of the registration work of hunting providers since they are those interested in the long-term use of hunting resources.

Background. The microbiome plays a crucial role in maintaining homeostasis. The purpose of the research was to study the peculiarities of changes in immunological status and their relationship with colonic dysbiosis in patients with biliary lesions on the background of type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM) and obesity. Materials and methods. The study included 54 patients with type 2 DM and obesity of varying severity, who underwent a comprehensive examination. Two groups of those examined for type 2 DM and obesity were formed, depending on the type of lesion of the biliary system. Thus, group I included 24 patients with chronic acalculous cholecystitis, and group II consisted of 30 patients with gallstone disease. Results. The results of the analysis of the quantitative and qualitative composition of the colonic microflora indicate dysbiotic changes in patients with type 2 DM, obesity, and lesions of the biliary system. More pronounced disorders in the quantitative and qualitative composition of colonic microflora were diagnosed in patients of group II (with type 2 DM and obesity in combination with gallstone disease). The patients of group II significantly more often developed an increase in the number of Enterobacter (14.2 %; p < 0.05), Citrobacter (31.8 %; p < 0.01), Staphylococcus (16.7 %; p < 0.05), and Clostridium (11.8 %; p < 0.05) compared with the data of group I. More pronounced increase in all immunoglobulin parameters was found in patients with gallstone disease associated with type 2 DM and obesity. At the same time, the increase in IgA and IgG levels, which is indisputable evidence of activation of the humoral part of the body’s immunocompetent system, was found in patients with biliary lesions and type 2 DM and obesity. Conclusions. In patients with type 2 DM and obesity in combination with lesions of the biliary system (mainly gallstone disease), changes in the quantitative and qualitative composition of the colonic microflora (a decrease in the number of Bifidobacterium and Lactobacillus and an increase in the concentration of Clostridium, Staphylococci, Proteus, and Klebsiella) were detected. Impairment of immunological status in patients with type 2 DM and obesity in combination with lesions of the biliary tract was diagnosed, which manifested in increased levels of IgA, IgG, IgM, IgG and a decrease in serum C3 and C4 in patients with gallstone disease. The increase in IgA and IgG directly depends on the change in the number of Bifidobacterium and Lactobacillus, Staphylococcus, Clostridium, Proteus in the microbiological examination of feces in patients with type 2 DM and obesity in combination with the biliary system (mainly gallstone disease).

The positive effect of extruded lupine grain in the composition of compound feed on the increase in milk productivity of cows was established, which made it possible to receive an additional 112 kg of milk and profit from the sale of milk — 1635 rubles on average per 1 head for the entire study period (75 days). An improvement in the qualitative composition of milk was revealed: the mass fraction of fat in cows in the experimental group was increased to 4.13%, compared to 3.87% in the control group; the mass fraction of protein in cows in the experimental group was 3.38%, while in cows in the control it was 3.27%.

Aim. Today, there are a lot of dietary supplements with lingonberry at the pharmaceutical market of Ukraine; therefore, the analysis and quality control of these products are relevant. In this connection, the aim of the research was to study the qualitative composition and determine the quantitative content of phenolic compounds in dietary supplements with lingonberry.Materials and methods. Such dietary supplements as “Extract of lingonberry” (MEDAGROPROM), “Lingonberry” (Danikafarm), “Lingonberry nano” (LSS SYSTEM) were chosen for the study. The qualitative analysis was performed by thin layer chromatography (TLC), spectrophotometry was used for the quantitative determination.Results and discussion. Hydroquinone derivatives, flavonoids and hydroxycinnamic acids were found in the dietary supplements analyzed. The total content of phenolic compounds was 8.70, 0.26, 0.30 %, flavonoids – 6.37, 0.15, 0.12 %, hydroxycinnamic acids – 0.94, 0.06, 0.13 %, and hydroquinone derivatives – 1.01, 0.04, 0.03 % in such dietary supplements as “Extract of lingonberry” (MEDAGROPROM), “Lingonberry” (Danikafarm), “Lingonberry nano” (LSS SYSTEM), respectively. Conclusions. The qualitative and quantitative analysis of the dietary supplements with lingonberry analyzed has been performed. “Extract of lingonberry” (MEDAGROPROM) dietary supplement meets the requirements of the State of Pharmacopoeia of Ukraine 2.0, whereas “Lingonberry” (Danikafarm) and “Lingonberry nano” (LSS SYSTEM) do not. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the problem of compliance of dietary supplements is relevant today and requires the introduction of regulatory documentation for the detection and determination of biologically active substances in dietary supplements.

Для понимания формирования закономерностей грибных сообществ и реакции ампелоценозов на усиление абиотических и антропогенных нагрузок изучение ассоциаций растений и грибов имеет важное значение. Целью исследований было установить количественный и качественный состав сообществ микромицетов, ассоциированных с однолетними побегами дикорастущих растений винограда в естественных условиях пойменных лесов Краснодарского края. В результате исследований было установлено, что на поверхности однолетних лоз численность грибных популяций достигала 837,6 КОЕ/г сухого вещества в образце, произрастающем на склоне и 1191,7 КОЕ/г сухого вещества в образце лозы произрастающей в пойме реки Псебепс. В комплексе микромицетов доля гифальных грибов составляла 93,7-95,9%, дрожжи занимали 3,7-5,9 и 0,4% - дрожжеподобные грибы. Гифальные микромицеты были представлены 7 видами и стерильной формой светлого мицелия. По частоте встречаемости первое место заняли грибы родов Phoma, Botryodiplodia, Cladosporium, Alternaria (100%), второе место - Coryneum (70%). Следующую группу микромицетов с частотой встречаемости 14% составили грибы из рода Fusarium и Aspergillus niger Tiegh. В качестве доминант на однолетней лозе дикорастущего винограда отмечены микромицеты родов Phoma (46,75%) и Botryodiplodia (43,15%). Доля видов рода Cladosporium spp. и Coryneum spp. в общем объеме микромицетов составляла 4,6 и 3,85 % соответственно. Различия в количестве и соотношении таксонов грибов, исследованных биообразцов связаны, вероятно, с различным режимом влажности. To understand the pattern formation of fungal communities and the reaction of ampelocenoses to increased abiotic and anthropogenic loads, the study of plant and fungal associations is important. The aim of the research was to establish the quantitative and qualitative composition of micromycete communities associated with annual shoots of wild-growing grape plants in natural conditions of floodplain forests of the Krasnodar Territory. As a result of the research, it was found that on the surface of annual vines, the number of fungal populations reached 837,6 CFU/g of dry matter in a sample growing on a slope and 1191,7 CFU/g of dry matter in a sample of a vine growing in the floodplain of the Psebeps River. In the micromycete complex, the proportion of hyphal fungi was 93,7%-95,9%, yeast - 3,7%-5,9% and yeast-like fungi - 0,4%. Hyphal micromycetes were represented by 7 species and a sterile form of light mycelium. According to the frequency index, the first place was taken by fungi of the genera Phoma , Botryodiplodia , Cladosporium , Alternaria (100%), the second place was taken by Coryneum (70%). The next group of micromycetes with a frequency index of 14% consisted of fungi from the genus Fusarium and Aspergillus niger Tiegh. Micromycetes of the genera Phoma (46,75%) and Botryodiplodia (43,15%) were registered as dominants on the annual vines of wild-growing grapes. The proportion of species of the genera Cladosporium spp. and Coryneum spp. in the total volume of micromycetes was 4,6% and 3,85%, respectively. The differences in the number and ratio of fungal taxa and the studied biological samples are probably related to the different humidity regime.

It is difficult to disagree with the fact that in many organizations the system of work with personnel, namely the structure of professional and job promotion of employees in accordance with their business and personal merits, qualitative composition and level of wages of employees do not meet the objectives of the formation of personnel policy. Correctly developed strategy of personnel management will help to eliminate the problem.

The results of the study of the characteristics of the technological line for grain reception from auto transport at the procurement production grain elevator of LLC ―Agricultural Enterprise ―Vesna 21‖ are presented. In the process of research, the quantitative and qualitative composition, volumes and duration of the harvesting periods of early and late crops, the quantitative and qualitative composition and characteristics of auto transport delivering grain to the enterprise were determined; the most intensive supply of early and late crops, as well as the actual coefficients of daily irregularity of their supply by auto transport.It is shown that the enterprise in 2017-2019 traditionally received such early crops as wheat of 2-6 classes and rapeseed of the highest and 1st class. Late crops were represented by corn (3rd class and non-class) and soybeans (non-standard and extruded). The volumes of harvesting of the corn and wheat (main crops)for the indicated years correlated, respectively (%) 49.2:41.2; 60.1: 24.9 and 66.1:17.1, which indicates a tendency for a significant increase in the supply of late crops, especially corn grain. The ratio between early and late crops for 2017–2019 was 45:55, 24:76 and 20:80, respectively (%).The monthly grain flow to the grain elevator was rather irregular. Most of the grain was received from July to December, when the periods of harvesting of early and late crops coincide, and especially in the autumn months, in September, October and November, up to 32.9 %, less – in the off-season from January to June, to 12.3 %. All the same, a lot of grain in percentage terms was received in November 2017 and October 2018 – 32.9 % each.An analysis of the quantitative and qualitative composition of cars that delivered grain to the procurement and production elevator in 2017-2019 showed that the carrying capacity of the vehicles ranged from 3 ... 51 tons. In 2017, 80.9% of all grain received by the enterprise was delivered by 2771 vehicles (cars) with a carrying capacity of 20 ... 40 tons, which amounted to 82.4 % of their annual quantity. In 2018, these indicators were as follows – 87.2 % of grain was delivered by 84.5% of vehicles of the same carrying capacity, and in 2019 – 93.4 % of grain was delivered by 93.0 % of the same vehicles. In the years studied, there was a tendency to an increase in the share of more heavy-duty vehicles (35...40 t). However, the number of vehicles with a carrying capacity of more than 40 tons, delivering significant volumes of grain, has significantly decreased, which is associated with the legislative limitation of the vehicles weight. The optimal carrying capacity in terms of the ratio of the mass of the delivered grain: the number of vehicles, taking into account legal restrictions, can be recommended 35...40 tons.The main characteristics of the reception of an early and late crops at the procurement and production elevator, respectively, for 2017-2018 were the following values: the duration of the arrival of early crops, days - 126, 119 and 97, late – 142, 145 and 240; harvesting period of early crops, days – 73, 88 and 68, late crops – 86, 78 and 57; the most intensive supply of early crops, t/day – 8378, 596 and 1428, late crops 1966, 1576 and 1909; actual coefficients of grain reception irregularity by auto transport of early crops – 6.3; 2.2 and 3.6, late – 2.5, 2.4 and 2.9, which exceeds the standard values of 1.6 and should be taken into account when improving the operation of the grain reception line.

Propolis is a viscous substance produced and collected from plant shoots or exudates by worker bees. This study aimed to identify phenolic compounds, carotenoids, volatile compounds, and antiradical activity of propolis obtained from two stingless bees (SB), Scaptotrigona bipunctata (Tubuna) and Scaptotrigona depilis (Canudo), all native from Rio Grande do Sul. The two propolis showed a similar qualitative composition, but with quantitative differences. Catechin was the major phenolic compound found in propolis from S. bipuncata and S. depilis. The propolis from S. depilis showed a higher concentration of carotenoids, mainly lutein. The α-pinene was the volatile compound found in greater concentration in the two propolis.
