In this article, we analyze how pregnant and breastfeeding women perceive the inside of their bodies as well as their thoughts regarding the accumulation and elimination of chemical compounds present in food, and how these are then transmitted to the fetus. We explore different social perceptions of risk regarding the circulation of chemical compounds inside the body using qualitative research based on the technique of body mapping, comprised of women’s figures of their bodies in combination with comments on the figures, food diaries and narratives from in-depth interviews. We examine how these 41 women (21 pregnant and 20 breastfeeding) perceive the body’s internal mechanisms during the stages of pregnancy and breastfeeding, as well as the circulation of chemical contaminants within it. The body mapping technique allowed us to analyze participants’ knowledge of internal pollution, a little-understood process in society. Thanks to these pregnant and breastfeeding women, who made an effort to represent and reflect on these new risks, this study shows that scientists and obstetricians need to collaborate with women in order to better understand and publicize the risks of internal pollution.

As for the phenomenon that the current household suction machine has some shortcomings such as poor suction effect, serious internal pollution and no emission gas processing plant, a designing scheme of a condensed and fixed, adsorbing and recovering , electrolytic separating and purificating environmental suction machine based on air multiplier is put forward. And analyse and verify its feasibility by modeling and theory.

Combined with the sample monitoring of our research and the previous studies of algae growth kinetics, the total algae biomass of Xinyun Lake that can been gathered and removed was fast estimated as 1218800m3/a. Based on the research work about the result of organic fertilizer from algae paste, the internal pollution load reductions of COD, NH4-N and available phosphorus were estimated as 13163.04t, 1018.91t and 146.26t, respectively, in 2012. At last, the environmental benefit, economic benefit and social benefit of organic fertilizer from algae were analyzed, and all of them were very significant.

Sediment is an important ecological part of the lake and has a high storage capacity. Based on the cognition of Nansi Lake, this article presents the main sediment internal pollution in Nansi Lake, including nutrient pollutants, heavy metal pollutants and persistent organic pollutants, then make some countermeasures to control pollution, which has certain guidance to the improvement of environmental contamination in Nansi Lake.

A model for the effect of pollution on an animal population partially dependent on a plant resource is examined. Using a system of ordinary differential equations, the model tracks and relates changes in an animal population and its internal pollution levels, a plant population and its internal pollution levels, and the overall environmental pollution level. The model system is analysed using standard mathematical techniques, including the direct Lyapunov method and numerical simulations. Criteria for the stability of the system are found and numerically tested. Three inequalities are sufficient to establish global stability, and a parameter range exists in which these criteria are satisfied. The stability criteria dictate that the system will be globally stable provided that the removal rate of the pollution from the environment, the intrinsic growth rate of the plant population, and the rate the animal population relieves itself of its pollution are all sufficiently large.

There are several options to modify present pulping processes towards reduced environmental impact. The industry is readily adopting those that have reached the status of proven technology. New process variations are being developed. Process internal measures alone will not be sufficient to reach acceptable, levels. External effluent treatment will always be required. Internal abatement measures should concentrate on reducing pollution potential at the very source but also on improving the conditions for efficient external treatment. The overall production cost will increase when applying internal pollution abatement options. The marginal addition is however small.
