The purpose of this study is to design an instrument that can be used to determine students mental models in electrolyte and non-electrolyte solutions. Students do not have complete understanding of electrolyte and non-electrolyte solutions topic. It takes an instrument that can measure students mental models, which can then be used to find out why students do not have complete understanding of electrolyte and non-electrolyte solutions topic. The research method used is the RnD method with a 4D model. The research steps consist of define, design and development. The results of this study are e-instruments that can be used to measure students mental models on electrolyte and non-electrolyte solutions. The average results of the instrument feasibility from material experts and teacher experts were 89 percent and 83 percent, namely worthy with very good predicate and good predicate. These results indicate that the designed instrument is feasible to use. The instrument designed only reached the validation stage due to lack of time in research.

Students need modules in 21st century learning, especially in entrepreneurship courses. The study aims to describe the characteristics of students towards the Integrated Chemistry Learning Module STEM Entrepreneurship Course in Chemistry Education Sriwijaya University, the topic of Feed for Increasing Non-Racial Chicken Eggs. This research was conducted on the third semester student in Chemistry Education Sriwijaya University with a descriptive method. The research data were collected using a valid questionnaire with a reliability coefficient of 0.925, interviews and documentation. The results of the study show that the characteristics of student are very suitable or enable or feasible to compose a learning module on the topic of Increasing Non-Racial Chicken Eggs, in the 21st century. Student responded agree and strongly agree to use this module respectively by 57.8 percent and 42.2 percent. Respondents agree and strongly agree that they are accustomed to using Android or Internet or Laptop, respectively, by 62,2 percent and 34,4 percent.

This study aims to analyse the mapping of chemical literacy levels of students in class XI MIPA at SMAN 1 Lubuk Basung on thermochemical material using the Rasch model according to the scientific literacy framework adapted by Shwartz. This study is a quantitative study using a sample of 50 students of class XI MIPA. The data is obtained from a chemical literacy test, then the data is analysed using the Rasch model. The results showed that students with the highest abilities have the right answers but have not been able to define the concepts and understanding is limited, meanwhile students with the lowest ability have wrong or blank answers. Thus, it was concluded, students with the highest abilities have a functional scientific literacy level on difficult items and students with the lowest abilities have a scientific literacy level.

Teaching material is one of the aspects to improve scientific literacy skills had by students, but based on the analysis of school textbooks, especially on acid-base materials, 2 chemistry textbook do not yet have the maximum application of scientific literacy. The aim of this research is to develop acid base e-module based on scientific literacy. The method implemented is Research and Development (R and D) method by Borg and Gall which is limited to 7 out of 10 stages. The instrument used in this study was questionnaire of validity and practicality. Validation was carried out by 5 validators while the practicality test was distributed to 2 chemistry teachers and 20 students of Class XI Science of SMA Negeri 10 Medan. Based on the validation results obtained from the validators, the average result is 4,70 which a very feasible criteria. The average value of teachers and students practicality responses was 4,60 and 4,42 with a very feasible criteria so it was concluded the acid-base e-module based on scientific literacy is valid, practical and also feasible to be used in learning activities for high school students. The follow-up of this research is to conduct a trial of the effectiveness of using e-modules in improving students’ scientific literacy skills.

This study aims to determine the practicality of the guided inquiry-based acid-base module in class XI MIPA. This study uses a plomp development model consisting of 3 stages, namely initial research, prototype development, and the assessment stage. The instrument used in the practicality test is in the form of a questionnaire given to teachers and students. The practicality value is calculated by using Aiken V formula. The result of this study indicates that the module developed has a practical value of 0,89 with a high category.

The use of ICT learning media is needed to support the learning process. This is due to the implementation of the 2013 curriculum, technological developments in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0, and the COVID-19 pandemic. One example of ICT media that is in great demand by students is learning multimedia in the form of educational games with the Chemoedutainment method. This study aims to produce an educational game application called Chemblocks Games based on Chemoedutainment on chemical bonding materials. The subjects in this study were expert validators, teachers, and students. This study uses the TSRD model R and D method, which consists of the following stages Pre development, Development, and Post Development. The instruments used are a mix of teacher needs analysis interviews, student needs analysis questionnaires, validation sheets, also teacher and student response questionnaires. Validation data processing techniques and response questionnaires use a Likert scale. Data analysis was carried out by converting the results of the Likert scale points into percentages. Chemblocks Games received an assessment from material experts of 88.61 percent, media experts of 83.5 percent and teacher participant test assessments of 94 percent. So the Chemblocks Games product is in the very decent category. Based on the results of the student response questionnaire in the limited test, the percentage obtained was 84.5 percent in the material aspect, 86.5 percent in the language aspect, and 87 percent in the attractiveness aspect. So the students response to the Chemblock Games application is in the Very Good category.

Teaching materials are said to be practical if the practitioners or the experts state that the developed teaching materials can be applied in the research. The purpose of this research is to reveal the practicality of redox e-modules and GDL-based electrochemical cells for XII grade of high school students. This research is a continuation of educational design research with the Plomp development model at the prototyping stage, this research was conducted at SMAN 1 Lintau Buo Utara. The data were analyzed with the Aiken V formula. The results of one-to-one evaluation showed that the e-module uses clear fonts, covers and attractive designs, the language used is easy to understand, the presentation of coherent material, videos and animations can help students to understand the material. The results of the analysis on the average Aiken V formula obtained a V value of 0.88 at the small group stage and 0.86 at the high category field test stage. This data is evidenced by the ability of students to answer questions on the e-module by 90.5 percent with a very high category. Based on the data analysis, it is concluded that the e-module redox and electrochemical cells based on GDL are practically used in the learning process with a high practicality category.
