China Aster is one of the most popular flower that are used in ornamental garden. The demand for cut flowers of China aster is increasing day by day, but it has not been possible to supply the adequate amount of flowers especially during the festival season. The area under flower production is increasing year after year but farmers are not getting quality seeds in adequate quantity as very few farmers are taking up seed production because flower seeds loose their viability earlier than crop seeds. So, production of adequate quantity of quality seeds is essential to meet the demand. The present investigation was undertaken in Horticulture Research Station, Mondouri, B.C.K.V., Mohanpur, Nadia, West Bengal during Rabi season of 2018-19 and 2019-20. Over two consecutive years, six genotypes were evaluated the potentiality of for its growth and flowering, as well as to estimate the influence of GA3 through foliar application at pre-flowering stage on its seed production. In field three treatments were considered viz. T1 (control i.e.no application of GA3), T2 (GA3@50ppm), T3 (GA3@100ppm). According to the size of flowers, highest was recorded in Local Mix (G6). So, it could be considered as the best performer genotype considering flower diameter. Seed yield plant-1 was recorded highest in Local White (G5), it could be considered as the best performer genotype considering its higher number of flowers plant-1 and number of seeds flower-1. GA3 (100 ppm) could be utilized in a better way for greater enhancement in all those important parameters as overall influence of GA3 has been found to improve seed yield plant-1 and all the important attributes. Concomitant consideration of seed yield and its important attributes may indicate to recommend foliar application of 100 ppm GA3 for enhancement in seed yield in all the genotypes. Similar to the seed yield and its attributes, plant growth and development have been noticed to be positively influenced by GA3 concentrations with a higher side after 100 ppm, may lead to recommend foliar application of 100 ppm GA3 for commercial cultivation of this crop irrespective of the genotypes.

The advancement of a smart society depends to a large extent on the standard of the higher education system. The fourth Industrial Revolution (FIR), or smart industry, is the trend related to artificial intelligence, changing various aspects of life, especially the education system. The flow of the smart industry, spurring Bangladesh to accept the technologies of the FIR. The drift of FIR will drop a strong impact on our graduates. The smart industry needs the efficiency of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). Mathematics is a scaffold to the next industrial revolution. So, our university education system should be convenient to set up our graduates all around the smart world and overcome the industrial requirements; it is compulsory to adopt Outcome-Based Education (OBE). OBE templates were approved at the 157th meeting of the University Grants Commission of Bangladesh (UGC) on 06 February 2020. Recently, UGC has requested that all universities modify their undergrad educational plans depending on the Outcome-Based Education (OBE) layout. The purpose of this article is to look at the significance of skilled Mathematics alumni for the smart world, and we also examine the challenges of actualizing Outcome-Based Education (OBE).

Choosing the best pedagogies and methods for students has become a focal issue in education. Hence, teachers need to evaluate and improve various skills. Therefore, this study was set up to investigate the teachers teaching methods they use during their teaching. The researchers have selected this Hence, teachers need to evaluate and improve various skills. Therefore, this study was set up to investigate the teachers teaching methods they use during their teaching. The researchers have selected this topic because to find out the types of teaching methods and to evaluate that how teachers use the subject and pedagogical knowledge. Currently, there are three Teacher Training Colleges in Paktika province, and the current study is conducted in Zarghun Shahr. The important thing is that how often they use the teaching method theories which they have learned, also at which level they understand their students to be able to identify students and their differences and learning styles. In this study, two mathematics teachers were observed during their teaching. Which were quite important for the current study to observe which methods do teachers use while they teach. The researchers also interviewed both the students who were in those classes and their teachers. The data have been collected by using observation and interview tools. And the unit of this research is teacher educators and students of teacher training colleges. This study will help all teachers (lecturers, teacher educators, and primary and secondary school teachers), to adapt useful methodologies in their classrooms.

The purpose of this study is to find out the effects of story Reading on improving Reading comprehension and critical thinking of EFL students at Kandahar University. The design of the study was quasi-experimental with reading comprehension and critical thinking pre and Post-tests. Total 27 Afghan EFL students were selected based on their performance on Placement test. The participants’ experimental groups listened to their teacher reading a story aloud. In order to find the improvement and different between these variables is significant the Paired Sample T-Test was administrated and the result indicates that there is significant improvement in post-tests in areas of reading comprehension and critical thinking in story Reading. However, there is more improvement in critical thinking aspect through story reading.

This study was conducted to examine the relationship between coaching and mentoring guidance and the levelof metacognition among Malay language teachers. In 2013, the Ministry of Education Malaysia implemented the District Transformation Programme as a pilot project before it was expanded nationwide in the following year. This step was taken to empowerteachers through the School Improvement Specialist Coaches (SISC) programmethat develop the teachers’ competencies, metacognition and expertise. Using a quantitative approach, the study analysed data were collected from 186 teachersteach in the Tuaran district, Sabah. Study data were analyzed using descriptive and inference analysis. Overall, the findings show that the level of coaching and mentoring is high, thus illustrating that teachers are ready to receive coaching and mentoring guidance in order to develop metacognition ability as well as to improve their teaching and learning performance. Although not entire coaching and mentoring items have a significant relationship in terms of teachers’ metacognition, there is a significant relationship between coaching and mentoring guidance and teachers’ metacognition in terms of declarative knowledge element.

The idea of using language as a tool of communication is the main principle of the communicative language teaching (CLT) approach. English for today (EFT) as a textbook was designed to develop the overall English language competence at a higher secondary level. This paper aims at justifying the suitability of EFT for implementing communicative language teaching in Bangladesh. This study shows English for today is not effective for creating communicative competence among its learners. Moreover, the tertiary students initially face challenges while enrolling in undergraduate programs under the medium of instruction is English. Data have been collected through classroom observation, interviews with teachers, students, and experts. Structured questionnaires for students, teachers, and experts have been used as tools for data collection. Finally, the paper concludes that revised abbreviations may be suitably adaptable to impose a communicative language teaching approach by overcoming the challenges in the large classrooms in Bangladesh.
