The Narration of Aisyah (May Allah be pleased with her), is the main focus of the controversy among Bangladeshi scholars on the issue of women's prayer in the mosque. The reason for the dispute is that a group of them issued the ruling based on the phenomenon of the text, and the others explained the ruling of Hadith according to the common situation in the society. If the circumstances change, the ruling will change along with it, because the originality of the issue is permissible, that is proven from other texts. This research adopts an inductive method to survey the Prophetic hadiths that talk about the prayer of women in the Mosque in terms of permissibility and prohibition and analytical method to analyze the difference in opinion of Bangladeshi scholars related to this issue. The research finds that the ruling of Shari’ah is a process that is continuous and permanent. But in necessity and emergency, it has the notion of flexibility and explanation. In the issue of women’s presence in the mosque, they should be allowed if they abide by the suggestions of Prophet (s) and should not if they don’t. So, Prohibition is not from the prophet (s), but it is from their obedience to the ruling.

Reading the Qur'an which is limited to outward level is basically contrary to Islamic scientific traditions which give great attention to the inner aspects. As a result, the breadth of key concepts of Qur’anic teachings, including the teachings of jihad, became narrow and dry. That will trigger the issue of religious social pathology in the form of tolerance crisis, radicalism even terrorism. So an effort is needed to bring back Sufi interpretation of the verses of jihad that focuses on the inner dimension and not negate the outward dimension. The method used in this research is maudhu'i and descriptive-analytical interpretation. This study finds that jihad is an effort to encourage the soul to endure bodily difficulties and to oppose lust in everything that aims to pick up self-perfection. In Tafsīr Ibn 'Arabi, there are three meanings of jihad esoterically; First, jihad is an attempt to eliminate the reprehensible traits which brings up a concept of jihad: “the key to the success of jihād fī sabīlillah which is fanā bi kulliyāt or total self-annihilation”. Second, jihad is an effort towards maqām of human spiritual perfection which brings up a rule of jihad: “the higher or the more perfect a person is, the greater his jihad”. Third, jihad is an attempt to sacrifice wealth, body and soul. This sacrifice is a result of fulfillment of the above principles of jihad

This article examines the peculiarities of one of Sundanese tafsirs or Qur’anic commentaries in West Java, Moh. E. Hasim’s Ayat Suci Lenyepaneun. Using discourse analysis approach, this study illustrates how the author arranges his interpretation in line with Sundanese culture and socio-religious background in modern Indonesia. There are some characteristics of Hasim’s Lenyepaneun: nuances of Sundanese literature and nature, Sundanese daily stories and his response to social-religious discourse. All these characteristics are significant in shaping the horizon of interpretation that feels more nyunda (Sundanese) as well as current response in his period. This study proves that the Sundanese tafsirs is not only related to deliver messages of God, but also associated with the functionalization of Sundanese as language of sense (rasa) to be more pervasive into hearts and minds. Lenyepaneun represents an effort of Sundanese domestication and bridging a gap between Arabic and Sundanese. This study also reinforces an illustration of how the text of Qur’anic commentary could serve as a social commentary. It could be one example of how local Qur’anic commentary in Indonesia could be a guardian of local Islam without leaving its relevance to the modernity.

Text, reader, and author are three entities that are interlocked in a process of understanding text. For Friedrich D.E. Schleiermacher, someone can only understand the text he/she reads if he/she delves into the author's psychological experience and knows exactly the phrases that the author uses in writing text. Talking about reading the Qur’an as a text found by modern humans today which its existence as a text is revealed in the seventh century in the Arabic nation, it is a must for anyone to know the Arabic grammatical used by the Qur'an. This article discusses linkages between the language analysis formulated by Schleiermacher and the method of understanding the Qur'an which is today found in the text form with special reference to the four key terms discussed. Using the descriptive-analysis method this research finds that Schleiermacher’s hermeneutic becomes relevant to Quranic studies because it can enrich existing interpretive methods. The concept of psychological hermeneutics will contribute to the realm of asbāb al-nuzūl study and the necessity of proper faith. Whereas the grammatical will contribute to the realm of understanding Qur’an as ancient Arabic text.

Humans are God's perfect creatures equipped with various abilities, not only physical but also spiritual. Humans are equipped with the potential and strength that can make it continue to exist in the world. The creation of humans to earth has a purpose as a leader. By using the literature study method it can be concluded that the position of humans as God's representatives on earth is equipped with various gifts so that humans can carry out their duties properly. The position that humans obtain is trust and devotion to God. Tafsīr Tanwīr mentions three potentials that exist in the human, namely the nature of shape, the nature of existence and the nature of potential. To become a leader on earth, humans must be able to develop a system of knowledge, social systems and artifact systems. Man must be fully aware that he is a being who has many statuses: as a superior person, as a servant of God, as a family member, as a member of society, as a citizen of the State, and as a citizen of the world

This article seeks the existance of Quran Pusaka, first official Indonesian Quran in 1960. The seeking refer to mushaf studies that develop till today. In addition to library data (specially Pusaka Quranic manuscript), this article uses interview data then explained by discriptive-analytic. This article argues that Quran Pusaka did not become a reference for published Quran, although Abu Bakar Aceh regarded it as Mushaf Imam. Furthemore, this Quran is lacked of attention by government and  Nusantara Quranic scholars. The evidence are, Bayt Al-Quran and Istiqlal Museum wrote a wrong leaflet, and Quran Pusaka was not mentioned in  the history of Indonesian Quranic Standard book.
