This study aims to reveal the dimensions of job characteristics' causal effects on the dimensions of job performance perception and the mediating role of extrinsic and intrinsic job satisfaction in this relationship. All the variables are examined for individual-organization interaction at the individual level. Primary research data were gathered by using a structured questionnaire that included valid and reliable scales, namely Job Characteristics Inventory, Minnesota Job Satisfaction Questionnaire, and The Job performance quality scale. The sample of the study consists of 472 employees randomly chosen from five private and public hospitals in Turkey. Exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses are used for factor validation. Path analysis and bootstrap analyses are used to detect direct and mediating effects on a path model using the structural equation modeling technique. Findings revealed that skill variety and friendship have a positive causal effect on compliance and task performance. Friendship, skill variety, and autonomy have a positive causal effect on job satisfaction. Internal job satisfaction has a positive causal influence on compliance, contextual, and task performance. Friendship, skill variety, and autonomy's causal effects on compliance, contextual, and task performance are mediated by intrinsic and extrinsic job satisfaction.

Among higher education students, perceived employability gained eminence in the last decades that attracted scholarly interests. Researchers theoretically and empirically studied the perceived employability though; inadequate preliminary review studies exist on this topic. Available researches mostly concentrated on a single approach. Thus, this study carried out a comprehensive review that comprised a systematic literature review (SLR) and bibliometric analysis that might boost understandings in the body of the literature. In the research process, the Scopus database from the 2008 to 2021 periods was used. The researchers set the search criteria that allowed the inclusion of 59 papers published in 45 peer-reviewed international journals. The paramount influential papers and prolific authors formulated the unit of this analysis. Furthermore, for the identification of thematic clusters and creating network maps, VOS viewer software was deployed. Citation analysis, co-authorship analysis, co-citation analysis, and co-occurrence of keywords analysis have generated interesting patterns which articulate the study results. The findings revealed enlightening insights on the content and characteristics of perceived employability, publication trends, highly cited papers, productive authors, contributing countries, repetitive themes, productive journals, and also unveiled gaps providing avenues for upcoming research works.

This paper examines how the recognition and spread of the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) have affected accounting practices and accounting education in Russia. We use evidence from Russia as a case study to provide a historical perspective on the changes in its accounting system and analyze the translation and communication difficulties in accounting practices and education. By conducting Russian accounting textbooks’ content analysis, we highlight IFRS translation issues in order to investigate the positional statement of the problems regarding the challenges with IFRS education. We also discover the current difficulties in teaching IFRS-based accounting to non-English speakers. Our findings outline the interrelation between the educational approach and practical applications of the existing knowledge on financial reporting. Finally, this research addresses the nature of the challenges that emerge due to the linguistic translations of the IFRS. We consider this paper will be of particular interest for non-native English-language speakers, including academics, practitioners, and standard setters.

The study focuses on developing a conceptual model to explore the factors influencing consumers' judgments in the decision-making process with a prime focus on personalized dynamic pricing (PDP). The study explored the judgmental impact of PDP on customer willingness to pay and mediating role of stickiness to the online store on PDP fairness and customer willingness to pay. The data was collected using a structured questionnaire administered among 256 students at a large university in India. SEM using AMOS software was used to analyze data. Price perception, involvement, product knowledge, and recommendation system positively impact price fairness of PDP, directly and indirectly influencing customer willingness to pay. Results also showed that stickiness to online stores fully mediates the relationship between price fairness of PDP and customer willingness to pay. Theoretically, the study contributes to pricing and marketing literature by identifying the antecedents of price fairness of PDP. For practitioners, this study signifies the importance of a robust recommendation system to stand out from the competition and provide deals to satisfy consumers. Specifically, the results emphasize the need to focus on stickiness to an online store to track consumer characteristics and customer value

The paper aims to measure the extent of international diversification achieved by Indian companies in the recent time period. The study also investigates the nature of international diversification of companies during their transition beyond national boundaries. This evaluation of the firm’s nature and extent of internationalization is further extended to cover the period of COVID-19 as well. The Jacquemin and Berry Entropy Approach (1979) is applied to operationalize the firm’s international diversification. It facilitates the measurement of both inter-region and intra-region diversification. World Bank Geographical Region Classification Framework (2018) has been used to facilitate the applicability of the approach applied. Results indicate that Indian companies were inclined to grow beyond their home territories. However, the extent of international diversification is low as ‘Internationally Low Diversification (ILD)’ reveals to be the most popular strategy amongst Indian companies. Nature depicts a preference for relatedness than unrelatedness for overseas expansion as firms prefer intra-region expansion as compared to moving inter-region. Stagnation and halt are witnessed in the global expansion of companies in the period of the pandemic. The present study is novel as it comprehensively evaluates the international growth strategies preferred by Indian companies in the pre-pandemic and the pandemic period.

The export-led growth hypothesis states a positive relationship between the growth of exports and long-run economic growth. This study examines the validity of the export-led growth hypothesis of services exports in 5 emerging economies, including Brazil, India, Nigeria, China, and South Africa (BINCS), for the period of 1980-2019. The study employs the panel mean group autoregressive distributed lag (ARDL) procedure to identify a causal relationship between services exports and gross domestic product (GDP) per capita. The findings show that the export-led growth hypothesis in services only has a positive effect on economic growth in the short run while other variables, including foreign direct investment (FDI), gross capital formation, and labour, increase economic growth in the long run. Hence, the emerging countries should focus more on internal investment to boost growth in the long and short run.

This study investigates the firm- and country-specific factors that affect SMEs’ access to finance and the relationship between financial constraint and firm growth in emerging economies of Central Asia. To address the research questions, a two-stage empirical analysis including ordered probit, probit, and feasible generalized least squares (FGLS) specifications were conducted. Firm-level data used in the analysis is obtained from the fifth round of the Business Environment and Enterprise Survey (BEEPS V) and country-level data acquired from national and international datasets. The study's findings implied that in the Central Asian economies, country-specific factors are more likely to affect access to external finance of SMEs than firm-specific determinants. Among firm-specific factors, only foreign ownership is significantly related to financing constraint perception of SMEs; where, the interest rate is positively, and domestic credit market, inflation, and log of GDP per capita are negatively related to financing constraint level. In Central Asia, an insignificant relationship between growth and financing constraints was found. The determinants of financing constraints and access to finance–growth relations, which address the issue of great significance for SME growth in the selected countries, were interpreted with region-specific factors.

This study attempts to examine the relationship between monetary policy and housing prices in India. We use monthly data from January 2009 to December 2018 of four variables- Housing Price Index (HPI), Real Effective Exchange Rate (REER), Gross Domestic Price (GDP), and interest rate for our estimations using the Autoregressive Distributive Lag (ARDL) Model. The results from the study show that the impact of monetary policy on housing prices is significant only on lag three; however, the coefficient is very small. The results from the ARDL model are also supported by the variance decomposition of housing price. The variance decomposition of housing prices highlights that monetary policy explains around 13 percent of the variation in housing prices over a period of ten months. Further, the accumulated impulse response function reveals that with one-unit shock to interest rate results in a -0.000875 unit change in housing price. The study stipulates that, since conventional monetary policy has a modest impact on housing prices, therefore, it is insignificant for addressing the problems of real estate in India.

This study investigates the impact of North Korea’s nuclear tests on Asian stock markets. Two approaches are used separately in order to identify how stock market returns and volatilities change immediately after the nuclear tests. We find that the Chinese stock market tends to be more sensitive to unexpected shocks from North Korea’s nuclear tests than other Asian stock markets. However, relatively, the Japanese stock market is little influenced by the nuclear tests though Japan is not only geographically close to North Korea but also politically vigilant to North Korea’s nuclear threats. Also, we find that strengthened return correlations (linearity) do not necessarily increase stock return volatilities.

Talent management (TM) is considered a strategic tool to gain a sustainable competitive advantage for organizations. This study aims to explore the effects of TM practices on the engagement level of employees. A field study has been conducted within a Turkish holding to analyze the effects of TM. However, the scope of the study is restricted to the administrative departments within the headquarters of the holding. A quasi-experimental design is developed to conduct the research, and two groups are designated as the talent and the control groups for the study. Data is collected via surveys on the members of both groups before and after the intervention. Interviews are conducted during the intervention process, a talent matrix and a talent grid are developed, and the development practices are offered and partially implemented. In order to investigate the impact of TM on employees' organizational engagement, the means (averages) of two groups are compared before and after the implementation of TM program. We tried to determine if the difference is statistically significant or not. The research findings reveal a significant difference in the employees' organizational engagement level between the talent group and control group before and after the implementation of TM program. This result indicates that TM strategy has a significant positive impact on employees' engagement
