The article deals with the analysis of the balance of opinion in the newspaper, which is originally realized through editorial and op-ed genres. We analyzed 20 articles from “The Wall Street Journal” and “The New York Times” in the genres of editorial and op-ed about events in Afghanistan in August 2021, which were interpreted differently in mass media due to the role of the White House. The findings prove that in the context of new digital reality the op-ed has lost its original function of conveying alternative positions to the ones stated in the editorial; at the same time newspapers tend to advocate the positions shared by the political parties they have historically developed close relations with: “The Wall Street Journal” - with the Republican Party, “The New York Times” - the Democratic Party.

The purpose of the study is to improve the efficiency of production areas of multi-stage production with the possibility of rational use of equipment capacity and stocks of WIP inventory in the operation conditions of the automated operational scheduling system. Features of the considered problem regarding operative calendar planning are: necessity of processing raw materials at several stages according to the flow chart; an array of the equipment which demands division of work into three periods for each party; availability of planned and unscheduled equipment downtime; necessity to complete set of orders from several suborders; availability of incomplete production in a warehouse; restrictions in order and timing of orders. In the work, the authors construct a mathematical model with the use of multidimensional matroids with structured elements in the construction of free time scale for equipment loading. The research was carried out for a metallurgical plant at the cold strip production site...

In the aquatic environment, biocorrosion is an important factor affecting the reliability and durability of concrete structures. The destruction of cement concretes during biological corrosion is determined by the processes of mass transfer. The article presents the development of a calculated mathematical model of liquid corrosion in cement concrete, taking into account the biogenic factor. For the first time, a model of mass transfer in an unbounded two-layer plate is considered in the form of differential equations of parabolic type in partial derivatives with boundary conditions of the second kind at the interface between concrete and liquid and of the fourth kind at the interface between concrete and biofilm. The results of a numerical experiment are presented to study the influence of the coefficients of mass conductivity and mass transfer on the kinetics and dynamics of the process.

The article deals with the study of deliberative in various discursive realizations. The authors believe that free deliberative is the result of the reduction of the explanatory structure, or rather its modus component. The functioning of free deliberative in different discourses shows that, as one would expect, the most conservative in this regard is scientific discourse, while media and literary discourses actively use all the possibilities of free deliberative, activating those that are marked by colloquiality.

The focus of this article is on the integral unity of language and culture, which predetermined the evolution of the person speaking . An appeal to the ancient holistic methodology revealed the trinity of psychological intention and speech itself in the correlation with cultural values. Consequently, teaching a foreign language, focused on active communication with native speakers, is also an object of polyparadigmatic research, which should precede the development of new teaching technologies. The undertaken consideration made it possible to single out a synergetic approach as combining the teaching of a foreign language, culture and the way of beingness formed on their basis with a personal need for self-development and self-realization.

The article focuses on generalizing statements from a perspective of their belonging to one of the communicative registers of speech, namely generalizing register. The main investigation stages of such statements are noted, along with conclusions about their properties that are relevant for the study, such as semantics of generalization and abstractness, specific characteristics of reference, autosemanticism. The article proposes a classification of generalizing statements, based on the speaker's position against the source of an authoritative opinion. Statements are placed on a theoretical scale. One side of this scale corresponds to the situation when the speaker is this source of an authoritative opinion and the other side corresponds to the situation when an authoritative opinion is correlated with an external subject in relation to the speaker. The article considers the correlation of mentioned opposition with the opposition of creation/reproduction and describes the modus frames for each type. Besides, it outlines the prospects and opportunities to analyze text functions and the interaction of generalizing statements taking into account the introduced classification.

This paper considers, from the point of view of modern theory of language in contact, words loaned from the Russian language or through the Russian language that are still in active use in the modern Serbian language. The aim of this paper is to determine the corpus of these elements in the dictionaries of the modern Serbian literary language, as well as to conduct a morphological and lexical-semantic analysis of the collected material. Many of these words are not perceived as borrowings by speakers of the Serbian language, but it is a fact that these elements came to the Serbian language from Russian. The author studies the words with the label rus. , identified by the analysis of Serbian language dictionaries. Words of Russian origin that are on the periphery of the lexical fund of the Serbian language, such as archaisms and historicisms, have not been taken into consideration.
