This article analyzes the influence of the ancient classical literary language - the Wenyan communication language on the Baihua language. Lexical and grammatical differences are discussed on both fronts of a language. Since the Wenyan language is represented by monosyllabic units, several meanings of a hieroglyph have the property of changing its semantic meaning according to the position of the hieroglyph in the sentence or sentence. It is extremely important to pay attention to this aspect in reading and interpreting ancient texts. The Baihua language, on the other hand, is represented by polysyllabic units, which are much more convenient than the Wenyan language in expressing the semantic meaning of a word. However, the Wenyan language played an important role in the formation of the Baihua language, and to this day some elements of the Wenyan language are also reflected in the Putonghua.

The article is devoted to the problems of varying the norms of the modern Khakass literary language, which are revealed in the process of editors' work with texts. The reference literature that the editors rely on is such dictionaries of the Khakass language as the Khakass - Russian Dictionary and the Spelling Dictionary of the Khakass Language. The author of the article presents the facts of the presence of word - forming variants with overlapping meanings, which are presented in dictionaries as stylistically neutral and corresponding to the norms of the Khakass literary language. There are also variants of the names of the same concepts, for which no uniform rules for their application have yet been developed. Attention is drawn to the existence of multivariate writing of proper names in both Khakass and Russian languages. Attention is also drawn to the problem of reflecting the long vowels of the Khakass language in writing.

This article investigates new language trends in Internet communication. The goal was a comprehensive description of new features that appeared at every level of the language system functioning in the web space. Investigation of new systemic web phenomena has both relevance and perspectives, as the focus of literary language development has shifted from literary texts to web-based texts. The research material included Facebook posts and comments. The material was processed with stylistic methods (contextual, stylistic compatibility, interpretation, etc.). The synchronic analysis was accompanied with elements of diachronic commentary. The analysis also considered the normative aspect, yet the emphasis was made on the evolution of contemporary literary language influenced by digitalization and the growth of the Internet. The important factor in language transformation and development is realization of the creative function of the language in the user-generated content of the informal segment of the Internet. The multiple extralinguistic factors influencing Internet communication are described in details, but it is the creative function of the language and the features of new communication in the Internet space that are of primary importance for the development of the literary language in the Russian segment of the Internet. The study uses examples to prove the scientific hypothesis that new language phenomena on the Internet are not random, but on the contrary are systemic, as they are manifested at every language level. This allows drawing conclusions about the inevitability of transformation of the Russian language in the future, as the language will provide the communication of digital society that is already developing new ethic norms. Considering the trend on strengthening the legal frames for actions of state and transnational actors in the network space, the study of the Russian language and its trends in the Internet as one of the powerful means of soft power makes our study relevant for forming legislative mechanisms aimed at preserving Russian national interests in the international communication. The study is perspective, since it makes a significant contribution to preserving cultural and linguistic identity of Russian citizens in front of the growing international competition and uncertainty. In addition, being a linguistic study, this work deals with the issues of processing information with its increased speed and volume.

An inalienable property of the linguistic reality is the multi-language nature of the world and the multi-variation character of the ethnic-national communication space. As regards Polish pace, one can distinguish a series of axes around which the processes of long lasting concentrate. The author discusses the following five axes: (1) idiolectal (individual languages), (2) one determined by the dichotomy: spoken language – written language (contemporarily it assumes the form: spoken language – media language – written language), (3) one connected with the opposition: dialects – literary language (today in the form: dialects – mixed languages – general language), (4) functional variations (their ‘canonical’ series: colloquial language – scientific language – journalistic language – language of the administration – religious language – artistic language), and (5) one of three styles (high – medium – low).
