In learning and teaching English as a foreign language, motivation is crucial to success. The purpose of this study is to discover whether non-English-majored students are motivated in learning English and to find out what factors can help motivate them to learn English. The study mainly employed a questionnaire which is developed and administered base on Khau and Thach (2021)’s framework to collect the data. It was delivered to 54 non-English-majored students who are at their third year of study at a public university in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The results highlighted various researches that have been conducted on the elements that influence motivation. The data showed that the participants’ motivation level is at medium rank. It could be inferred that these participants were motivated to learn English at university. The current study also found that students’ motivation was mainly affected by four factors which are teacher’s personality, teacher’s methodology, facilities for studying and classmates. The results of the study contribute to the field of motivation research in EFL setting.

Digital gaming is a widespread activity in our society; more than 45 million homes have video-game consoles. Mostly, educators see this as a waste of valuable time that could be used for learning instead. Thus, the purpose of this qualitative study is to understand teachers' perspectives on using digital gaming among their students at Northern Illinois University in the state of Illinois. The main findings of this study discovered that most of the teachers who were interviewed have a positive attitude toward digital gaming and they think it that has a number of benefits that should not be ignored. Moreover, the results of this study revealed that teachers noted that using digital games increased students' engagement as well as improved students' skills, such as critical thinking, self- directed learning, technological skills, and self- motivation. This study has showed that indeed digital games have a bright future as a tool used at various stages of learning for different levels of students. Consequently, the educational policy makers should to embrace digital gaming as a learning tool.

The purpose of this research to determine the effect of learning outcomes between cooperative and individual learning models applied to Class VII students in Civics subjects at SMP Negeri 1 Trenggalek, knowing the difference in learning outcomes between students who have high motivation, high learning and students who have low motivation in Class VII students in Civics subjects at SMP Negeri 1 Trenggalek and know the interaction between cooperative learning models, individual and learning motivation on the learning outcomes of Class VII students in Civics subjects at SMP Negeri 1 Trenggalek. The analysis used using data analysis used in this study is to use two-way analysis of variance techniques. The results of the study explain that there are differences in the learning outcomes of class VII students who are taught using the cooperative method compared to students who are taught using individual learning at SMP Negeri 1 Trenggalek. There are differences in the learning outcomes of class VII students who have high learning motivation compared to class VII students who have low motivation at SMP Negeri 1 Trenggalek. There is an interaction between the application of cooperative learning methods and class students' learning motivation on the learning outcomes of class VII students at SMP Negeri 1 Trenggalek, where classes that apply cooperative learning methods to students who have high motivation have better learning outcomes.
