Abstract Background Summative eHealth evaluations frequently lack quality, which affects the generalizability of the evidence, and its use in practice and further research. To guarantee quality, a number of activities are recommended in the guidelines for evaluation planning. This study aimed to examine a case of an eHealth evaluation planning in a multi-national and interdisciplinary setting and to provide recommendations for eHealth evaluation planning guidelines. Methods An empirical eHealth evaluation process was developed through a case study. The empirical process was compared with selected guidelines for eHealth evaluation planning using a pattern-matching technique. Results Planning in the interdisciplinary and multi-national team demanded extensive negotiation and alignment to support the future use of the evidence created. The evaluation planning guidelines did not provide specific strategies for different set-ups of the evaluation teams. Further, they did not address important aspects of quality evaluation, such as feasibility analysis of the outcome measures and data collection, monitoring of data quality, and consideration of the methods and measures employed in similar evaluations. Conclusions Activities to prevent quality problems need to be incorporated in the guidelines for evaluation planning. Additionally, evaluators could benefit from guidance in evaluation planning related to the different set-ups of the evaluation teams.

Abstract The use of graph theoretical concepts, which can bridge the gap between the construction of verbal and simple analytical design model representations, is explored. Graph methods offer the possibility to process both verbal and analytical object information, since in either case the identification of the objects represented is achieved using an identifier concept, which relies on pattern matching techniques. The comparison of different solution paths for the same conceptual design problem using artificial metrics is shown in a case study. The results show that the solution paths for the analytical model based on the complete set of analytical equations can already be determined and analyzed using a verbal description model. Furthermore, both solution paths of the analytical and the verbal model are identical, if the relevance lists of the verbal design descriptions are complete.

This study aims to reveal the meaning of music notation writing of gitar tunggal Lampung Pesisir written by Imam Rozali. Imam is a gitar tunggal player who wrote his technique and playing style in notation symbols. This article uses a case study research design with pattern matching techniques (Yin, 2018). Data were collected through observation, interviews, document analysis, and audio recordings.  A series of tests were carried out on the notation and other supporting information to improve the validity of the data.  Laboratory analysis was carried out to describe signs, interpret symbols, and compare Western musical notation. As a result, (1) the music notation written by Imam Rozali is a musical expression used as a medium for remembering; (2) the writing of Imam Rozali’s musical notation constructs his musical identity as a Gitar tunggal Lampung Pesisir player; (3) Imam Rozali’s music notation symbolizes an indigenous style which has its concept of gitar tunggal music; (4) Imam Rozali tries to add value to his musical identity among gitar tunggal players because the notation is a symbol of intellectuality.

The intrusion detection under the environment of IPv6 is an important security technology along with firewall in system security defense system, which can be used for real-time detection and monitoring of the system in the whole process of system invasion. This paper puts forward an intrusion detection system under IPv6 platform based on intrusion detection feature attribute reduction by using pattern matching, so as to expand the range of application and user group of the security products. By the analysis and comparison of various pattern matching algorithms, the new algorithm realizes the intrusion feature module matching under IPv6, and make detection system be of high efficiency. Later experiments have proved this view.

Much research has been conducted on how consumption is related to human relations, for example, consumer communities organized around specific brands or the way people use products to define their own identity and transmit a desired image. However, only a scarcity of research has examined the consumption process when the fundamental intention is to leverage group belonging. The literature comprises a single theoretical framework that describes this behaviour, a nascent proposition that has not been tested. This study reviews the transferability of the model and its descriptive extent of the phenomenon in a different context than the one originally used for its proposal. A qualitative deductive case study and a pattern matching analysis technique were employed. The findings revealed that the model is transferable, thus revealing its suitability for future research on consumer behaviour intentionally aimed to promote belonging. The study also expands the framework with precisions on its conceptualization.

The purpose of this study is to know the compliance of shariah mudharabah agreement in financing products offered by BMT BIM Rengel branch. Things that need to be reviewed in mudharabah contract practice are adjusted to the points contained in the National Shariah Council Fatwa of Indonesian Council of Ulama (Fatwa DSN-MUI) No.07 / DSN-MUI / IV / 2000 on mudharabah financing. This research uses qualitative method with descriptive case study strategy. The object of this research is BMT BIM Rengel branch, Tuban. By conducting interviews to three respondents consisting of marketers, branch leaders, and mudharabah customers BMT BIM branch Rengel. After interviews, the results of the study were analyzed using pattern matching to get the conclusion. The results of the research conducted by observations and interviews by the researchers to the three respondents that mudharabah contract operation on financing products in BMT BIM Rengel branch has met the compliance of sharia, this is adjusted with the Fatwa DSN-MUI No.07 / DSN-MUI / IV / 2000 about mudharabah financing in which there are three points of equity, namely the provision of financing, harmonious and mudaraba conditions, and mudharabah financing law. Implementing this compliance benefits the various parties involved. Keywords: Sharia Compliance, BMT BIM, Mudharabah, Fatwa DSN-MUI

This research using qualitative approach while research method used was a case study with using pattern matching technique for analyzing. The analysis is done by looking at the suitability of supervision of the implementation of sharia principle by DPS on BPRS Amanah Sejahtera with SEBI No 15/22/DPbS. The results can be concluded that monitoring of product and new activity by DPS on BPRS Amanah Sejahtera had been in accordance with SEBI N0 15/22/DPbS. The supervision toward activity for raising funds, financing and other services activities by DPS on BPRS Amanah Sejahtera does not satisfy one of the nine points contained in the SEBI No 15/22/DPbS. In general, the supervision by DPS on BPRS Amanah Sejahtera has been effective because DPS not only doing the good supervision but also make improvements and development, DPS monitoring with his best, and DPS give priority to the BPRS Amanah Sejahtera.

This research adopts a qualitative approach with case study methodology. Data collection is done through carrying out interview with informants such as branch manager, financial manager, marketing staffs and several donators of Baitul Maal Hidayatullah. Secondary data comes under the form of documents pertaining to the practice performed by Baitul Maal Hidayatullah. The pattern matching technique is then used to compare patterns based on empirics with the predicted patterns. Cash waqf funds are collected through direct and indirect means. The collection of cash waqf funds by Baitul Maal Hidayatullah are in accordance with the procedures set out by Badan Wakaf Indonesia which are, analysis of needs, waqif profile identification, the product of waqf, and the transactional cost. The distribution of cash waqf funds by Baitul Maal Hidayatullah are in accordance with what has been ordained by the Direktorat Pemberdayaan Wakaf, which includes, waqf distribution for education and social services.
