As the survival and destiny of mankind are originally and inextricably conditioned by the state of the natural environment, it has become clear over time that man's relationship to the environment and economic growth and development at all costs were no longer possible or acceptable, and that man is, in fact, part of the ecosystem beyond whose legality will not be able to go unpunished. Faced with problems that, as a by-product of modernization, have for decades devastated and violated the quality of life in urban environments, the environmentally conscious global community has been pushing for the creation of sustainable cities and greener urban mobility. Hence the author's intention to emphasize the importance of accepting the concept of sustainable marketing in order to, by raising the collective awareness of the importance of transition to a low-emission society, encourage the substitution of urban mobility habits and behaviour that are in contrast the idea of sustainable urban form and the vision of a green city. The research is based on the use of secondary data, analysis of the content of available professional literature and relevant reports of the United Nations and national institutions, as well as on the application of descriptive methods and methods of analysis and synthesis. The article concludes by offering a framework for the implementation of sustainable marketing and measures that can be taken in the field of creating sustainable urban mobility.

The need to decrease pollution in urban zones has pushed toward severe regulations in term of low-emission limits. The effect of this “environmental awareness” is an increased interest in electric vehicles (EV). The construction of a EV is presented in the paper. This vehicle has been designed specifically to be powered by electric motors, the suspension system and the general layout have been developed accordingly. According to the European technical regulations, the vehicle has been designed for a city use. The main features of GreenFun, (this is the name of the prototype), are an extensive use of composite and lightweight materials, a special suspension system layout, a 4WD powertrain realized by means of 4 electric motor hubs and the use, for the first time in a production vehicle, of 4 measuring wheels that are able to measure the forces acting between the pneumatic tires and the road. These information are used as input for the vehicle control systems in order to enhance performance and safety. In the paper, the most relevant vehicle subsystems are described in detail (chassis, wheel, suspensions, powertrain, energy management, control system, …).

This paper presents an analysis of methods to increase the efficiency of heat transfer in heat exchangers. The scope of the research included analysis of efficiency optimization using the example of two tubular heat exchanger structures most often used in industry. The obtained efficiency of heat recovery from the ground of the examined exchangers was over 90%, enabling the reduction of emissions of the heating systems of buildings. The paper presents the results of tests of two types of heat pipes using R134A, R404A, and R407C working agents. The paper also presents the results of experimental tests using the R410A working medium. The results included in the study will also enable the effective use of land as a heat store.

The article provides theoretical analysis and evaluation of the timber auctions reforms in Russia. The author shows that the mechanism of the "combined auctions", which functioned until recently, is more appropriate from the theoretical point of view (and from the point of view of the Russian practice) as compared to the officially approved format of the English auction.

The present research aims to analyse diffusion flame in a tube type burner with Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) as a fuel. An experimental investigation is performed to study flame appearance, flame stability, Soot free length fraction (SFLF) and CO emission of LPG diffusion flame. Effects of varying air and fuel velocities are analysed to understand the physical process involved in combustion. SFLF is measured to estimate the reduction of soot. Stability limits of the diffusion flame are characterized by the blowoff velocity. Emission characteristic in terms of CO level is measured at different equivalence ratios. Experimental results show that the air and fuel velocity strongly influences the appearance of LPG diffusion flame. At a constant fuel velocity, blue zone increases and the luminous zone decreases with the increase in air velocity. It is observed that the SFLF increases with increasing air velocity at a constant fuel velocity. It is observed that the blowoff velocity of the diffusion flame increases as fuel velocity increases. Comparison of emission for flame with and without swirl indicates that swirl results in low emission of CO and higher flame stability. Swirler with 45° vanes achieved the lowest CO emission of 30 ppm at Φ = 1.3.
