Industrial revolution in the late nineteenth century in Western societies was a new emerging phenomenon promising a better life for the future of humanity. However, its development and growth exposed human values to fundamental changes. The challenge shaped between the development and growth of the industry and human values spread quickly to other sections. Artificial environment were one of these sections. Before the emergence of the industrial revolution the development and growth of cities were through a ritual process and there wasn’t any challenge between the development process and values. Urban values can be categorized on three parts issues of cultural-historical values, issues of skeletal-physical values, issues of environmental perceptions values. The aim of this research is to study the challenges between the development and conservation of the urban values, raising the question that ‘what has been the position of urban values in the development of the cities of Iran?’ In spite of the fact that the historical cores of the cities are valuable, there has been no attention to the present values in the process of the urban contemporary development. The present research is of the fundamental-development research type using the interpretive-historical method by data-gathering and qualitative analyses. The research revealed that the development process was based on the identity and cultural values in the cities of Iran before the advent of modernity and since the city met the existing needs, a desired coordination was shaped between urban values and development; however, the arrival of new urban elements supported legally by the government led to ignorance of many urban values in the contemporary development.

As a promising technology to converge the traditional industry with the digital economy, digital twin (DT) is being investigated by researchers and practitioners across many different fields. The importance of data to DT cannot be overstated. Data plays critical roles in constructing virtual models, building cyber-physical connections, and executing intelligent operations. The unique characteristics of DT put forward a set of new requirements on data. Against this background, this paper discusses the emerging requirements on DT-related data with respect to data gathering, mining, fusion, interaction, iterative optimization, universality, and on-demand usage. A new notion, namely digital twin data (DTD), is introduced. This paper explores some basic principles and methods for DTD gathering, storage, interaction, association, fusion, evolution and servitization, as well as the key enabling technologies. Based on the theoretical underpinning provided in this paper, it is expected that more DT researchers and practitioners can incorporate DTD into their DT development process.

Compared to patient satisfaction, less research has focused on patient experience, which is a complex phenomenon by nature, thereby challenging to define and measure. Today, healthcare organizations are short of appropriate instruments surveying patient experiences. Satisfaction questionnaires are used to evaluate the quality of hospital care from the viewpoint of adult patients. However, questions remain whether the hospitals should use these results to support their development activities.  This article describes the development process of a patient experience survey instrument targeted for the parents of pediatric patients, introduces the first versions of the questionnaire, and the plan for further development. The development process included several phases: interviews with 17 families, identification of aspects which influence patient experiences (5 themes), description of related potential metrics (22 metrics), formulation of the first version of the questionnaire (67 statements) and pilot testing, data gathering at a pediatric outpatient clinic (106 respondents), and based on exploratory factor analysis development of the second version of the questionnaire (22 statements). The further development includes validation with a second round data gathering and statistical analysis. The aim is to condense the number of statements into about 10 and implement the survey in an electronic format. In the Lapsus project similar patient experience questionnaires will be developed for all relevant phases of patients paths. The development work will utilize the reported process and the first version of the questionnaire. The plan is take the instruments in use in the New Children’s hospital in Helsinki and in other similar hospitals.

This is the first part of a two-part chapter that describes and analyzes a program of research (PR) in international IT studies begun in the fall of 1992 and continuing through 2004. The chapter presents the first two stages which span the years of 1992 through 2000, focusing on the creation and development process for a PR, examining the concept of a PR, the inception of our PR and its maturation both in terms of theory and methodology, research team dynamics, and program implementation. We offer guidelines for initiating and maintaining programs of research, highlighting the inevitable trade-offs that occur when high administrative work loads and intensive data gathering in the global setting, often involving long periods of time abroad, have to be balanced against the ability to carry out the research at all and the rarity of the data.

Malaysia experienced a number of the entry of foreigners in the world, mainly as low-skilled workers. Malaysia has been experiencing shortage of workers in main sectors such as construction, agriculture, industrial and service. Foreign workers are workers came from other countries who come to work in Malaysia for a certain period, they are also known as economic’s workers. The study found that foreign workers give benefits for country development process in variuos sectors but with their numbers growing and reaching millions of peoples were disturbing economy and local communities. Keywords: Foreign worker, demand, economy, PATI, crime, security Abstrak: Malaysia mengalami jumlah kemasukan warga asing yang besar di dunia, terutamanya sebagai buruh berkemahiran rendah. Malaysia telah mengalami masalah kekurangan buruh dalam sektor-sektor utama negara seperti pembinaan, perladangan, perindustrian dan perkhidmatan.
