The study aims to identify transparency in the Financial and Administrative Control Authority in the Sultanate of Oman. The problem of the study lies in the low status of Omani institutions in the Global Corruption Perceptions Index, which reflects the spread of financial and administrative corruption in the Financial and Administrative Control Authority in the Sultanate of Oman. The study highlights the importance of shedding light on transparency in the Financial and Administrative Control Authority in the Sultanate of Oman. The study followed the descriptive analytical approach to describe and analyze transparency in the Financial and Administrative Control Authority in the Sultanate of Oman. The study reached many results, including that the Financial and Administrative Control Authority is trying to apply governance standards in accordance with the instructions issued in this regard. The results showed that one of the most important dimensions of transparency is the possibility of separating powers, practicing transparency in the areas of public life, and activating the law. The results also showed that the pillars of transparency are clarity of work rules in institutions, the dimensions of suspicious personalities from financial and administrative work, rationalization of consumption, and ensuring access to information by the Financial and Administrative Control Authority in the Sultanate of Oman. The results concluded that the application of transparency greatly contributed to enhancing the freedom of access to information, and the reports of the supervisory bodies on the situation inside the institutions received a lot of attention from the public, which indicates the importance of the prominent media role played by the supervisory institutions in order to enhance the role of transparency. The study recommended the need to expand the application of transparency elements in the financial and administrative control body in the Sultanate of Oman. The study also recommended that the practice of transparency contributes to the spread of more freedoms in society, but it is of the opinion that the application of transparency should not be limited to the public employee in institutions only without looking at the higher leaders, as these leaders may be one of the causes of financial and administrative corruption. The study also recommended that the supervisory authorities have many foundations and standards in the matter of punishment and accountability without prejudice to the rights of the employee, as well as researching the reasons for his fraud and obtaining illegal funds from the institution in which he works.

The importance of research lies in the school administration and that the school is the main cell of the educational system and its ultimate goal, and therefore modern education requires the presence of sophisticated leaders represented in educational administration at various levels. Administrative leaderships and the two researchers' belief that the institution’s ability and success or failure depend on a special type of leader who is highly effective and efficient, directing workers ’behavior towards creativity and achievement in order to achieve the goals of the institution in serving the educational bodies, increasing the effectiveness of leadership and developing the creative behavior of secondary school principals in Al-Karkh Al-Thania directorate of education. The aim of the research was to determine the creative behavior of principals and the effectiveness of the administrative leadership of the principals. The two researchers used the descriptive approach in the survey method on a sample of secondary school principals, whose number (20) principle were distributed, and a measure of creative behavior and administrative leadership was prepared. Al-Karkh Al-Thania principles enjoy a good degree of creative behavior as well as they have a good degree of administrative leadership, and the two researchers recommended urging school principals to participate in development courses and conferences that contribute to raising their level in administrative work.

Abstract Directly funded (DF) home care, or consumer directed home care, gives program users a budget to choose their own services. Set in the Canadian province of Manitoba, our study examines the local DF program “Self and Family Managed Care”, which does not allow program users to hire and pay a family member. Incorporating a disability lens into care and aging studies, we share findings from a qualitative study based on 24 semi-structured interviews with DF users. We focus on the experiences of family managers, that is, representatives acting as a decision maker for an older adult. About half of the family managers in this study care for people living with dementia or cognitive decline. We identify two main themes: 1) service flexibility in DF reduces caregiver strain, 2) family managers tend to hire agencies rather than individuals to avoid administrative burden. Our discussion highlights the costs of DF from the perspective of caregivers as administrative burden (financial paperwork, finding workers, choosing a ‘good’ agency), and the benefits as flexibility (choosing workers, trusting workers, setting schedules, assigning work). We also consider the goals of family managers to enhance quality of life and avoid long-term residential care, in contrast to younger self-managers who desire control and autonomy. We recommend that DF programs need to reduce administrative work for users, support users in making informed choices, and find better ways to support, acknowledge and value the work of family managers and substitute decision makers.

Introduction: Medical Officer (MO) of an Urban Health Centre (UHC) is responsible for implementing all activities grouped under Health and Family Welfare delivery system in UHC area. While RBSK MO of UHC works under Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakaram (RBSK). Objective: To assess various activities carried out by MBBS MOs and RBSK MOs at UHCs with proportion of time spent on each of activities. Method: The study was conducted at randomly selected 12 UHCs from randomly selected 3 zones of Ahmedabad city. Data regarding activities of MBBS and RBSK MOs were collected using predesigned matrix time log sheet wherein the MOs had to fill up their activities on 15 minutes slots for 2 weeks. Data were entered and analyzed using MS Excel. Results: Effective working time per day was 7 + 1/2 hours &6+1 hours for an MBBS & RBSK MO respectively. Majority of time spent per day by the MBBS MO was in conducting general OPD (mean 149 minutes) followed by preparing/checking reports. While, for RBSK MO, it was in health checkup at Anganwadis & Schools(118& 93 minutes respectively) followed by preparation of reports. Both MOs spent maximum time towards clinical work (48.51% by MBBS& 68.45% RBSK MOs) followed by administrative work (33.73% by MBBS & 18% by RBSK), field visits (11.5% by both), CME/workshops/trainings (2.02% by MBBS and 0.66% by RBSK) and other activities (4.2% by MBBS and 0.8% by RBSK). Conclusion: Frequency of various major activities was as per the recommendations for most of the MOs. However, many of them were not able to cover all the activities mentioned under guidelines.

Abstract Background Multiple acute care surgery (ACS) working models have been implemented. To optimize resources and on-call rosters, knowledge about work characteristics is required. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate the daily work characteristics of ACS surgeons at a Swiss tertiary care hospital. Methods Single-center prospective snapshot study. In February 2020, ACS fellows prospectively recorded their work characteristics, case volume and surgical case mix for 20 day shifts and 16 night shifts. Work characteristics were categorized in 11 different activities and documented in intervals of 30 min. Descriptive statistics were applied. Results A total of 432.5 working hours (h) were documented and characterized. The three main activities ‘surgery,’ ‘patient consultations’ and ‘administrative work’ ranged from 30.8 to 35.9% of the documented working time. A total of 46 surgical interventions were performed. In total, during day shifts, there were 16 elective and 15 emergency interventions, during night shifts 15 emergency interventions. For surgery, two peaks between 10:00 a.m.–02:00 p.m. and 08:00 p.m.–11:00 p.m. were observed. A total of 225 patient were consulted, with a first peak between 08:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. and a second, wider peak between 02:00 p.m. and 02:00 a.m. Conclusion The three main activities ‘surgery,’ ‘patient consultations’ and ‘administrative work’ were comparable with approximately one third of the working time each. There was a bimodal temporal distribution for both surgery and patient consultations. These results may help to improve hospital resources and on-call rosters of ACS services.

Abstract Aim To assess whether the new direct pathway (requested by GP) has improved OGD accessibility and time of diagnosis for patients with suspected UGI cancer. The new system aimed to bypass a formal referral to UGI clinic. Methodology Retrospective study, compared two groups of patients (total 329). Group A (173 patients, TWW referral to UGI clinic who had endoscopy between March and May 2017), and Group B (156 patients, Direct access pathway by the GP to have the endoscopy between March and May 2018). inclusion criteria includes patients referred directly by the GP between March and May 2018, TWW patients referred March-May 2017. Patients who had OGD with suspected diagnosis other than UGI cancer were excluded. Data was compared in terms of gender, age, interval time between referral and OGD, and cancer findings. Findings Time between presentation and diagnosis in patients referred via Direct Access pathway was shown to be significantly shorter compared to patients admitted via TWW. The difference was 7 days in favor of the Direct Access pathway which was statistically significant (p value 0.001). Recommendations Direct access pathway has decreased the waiting time, expedited the management, potential money saved, more available clinic space and less administrative work.

Today's smartphones and wearable devices come equipped with an array of inertial sensors, along with IMU-based Human Activity Recognition models to monitor everyday activities. However, such models rely on large amounts of annotated training data, which require considerable time and effort for collection. One has to recruit human subjects, define clear protocols for the subjects to follow, and manually annotate the collected data, along with the administrative work that goes into organizing such a recording.

This paper gives an outline of ongoing work on electric vehicles in the area. The paper depicts the turn of events, and examination of various pieces of the principal segments of battery innovation, engine, forward, invert, start-stop, and slowing down are inspected. The paper examines the benefits of diesel motors and electric motors. Here are a few depictions of how the dark smoke from a diesel motor can harm our bodies. The paper, at last, appears as models of some electric vehicles finishing of administrative work.
