The article is aimed at defining and describing the essence of innovative information technologies that contribute to the digitalization of the financial services market. The article analyzes modern information technologies (mobile applications, machine learning, cloud technologies, blockchain, big data, artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things). Not only the essence and principles of the outlined technologies are covered, the focus is also on the directions of their use in the activities of financial institutions. It is substantiated that the implementation of information technologies allows increasing the pace of digitization of banks, accelerating the process of bringing new services to the market and scaling new services, ensuring higher customer satisfaction through the prompt provision of services in a comfortable way for them and, as a result, facilitates digitalization of the modern financial services market. The author defines that, despite the existence of a number of advantages of introducing information technologies into the work of financial institutions, domestic banks are quite cautious about this issue. The main reasons for this are: shortage of investment, experience and knowledge; difficulties in adapting technologies to certain specific banking operations and their coordination with the current legislation; lack of development of the information and innovation infrastructure; probability of technical errors in management and use of information technologies. It is emphasized that the problem of protecting the clients’ personal data, preventing their transfer to third parties, ensuring the protection of information systems from hacking and cyberattacks is now of acute relevance.

The subject of research is theoretical and applied aspects of the development of innovations and information technologies in the functioning of world-class financial institutions. The purpose of the article is to analyse and systematize foreign experience in the development of new innovative and information technologies in the financial services market. In the research, the authors used general scientific and specific methods, including: historical-logical, dialectical, deductive, analysis and synthesis, grouping, abstraction and formalization, benchmarking, generalizations and systematization. The article concludes that in modern rapidly evolving digitalization processes, financial innovations play an extremely important role and contribute to the economic development of countries. The authors point out that banking institutions need to focus their potential as much as possible on identifying priority digital and innovative initiatives, taking into account current challenges and threats. Finally, the effective use of specific financial innovations requires in-depth knowledge of the features of their operation and careful analysis of their consequences. The authors recommend the use of a cross-functional approach, which provides flexibility and the ability to transform change over time and is an important element in the process of implementing financial innovations. Taking into account the experience of leading banking institutions that actively implement innovative developments, the authors note that along with the benefits, financial innovations can cause new challenges and threats for all participants in this process. Researchers have shown that radical innovation can displace a dominant business model or technology and create a new market. According to the results of the analysis of innovative developments of banks around the world for the period 2015-2019, the authors found that financial innovations have changed their nature and are based on the latest digital technologies.

The article proposes a model for forecasting the success of student’s learning. The model is a Markov process with continuous time, such as the process of “death and reproduction”. As the parameters of the process, the intensities of the processes of obtaining and assimilating information are offered, and the intensity of the process of assimilating information takes into account the attitude of the student to the subject being studied. As a result of applying the model, it is possible for each student to determine the probability of a given formation of ownership of the material being studied in the near future. Thus, in the presence of an automated information system of the university, the implementation of the model is an element of the decision support system by all participants in the educational process. The examples given in the article are the results of an experiment conducted at the Institute of Space and Information Technologies of Siberian Federal University under conditions of blended learning, that is, under conditions when classroom work is accompanied by independent work with electronic resources.

The article considers the feasibility of integrating artificial intelligence technologies into school education and identifies a problem in identifying didactic elements in the field of artificial intelligence, which must be mastered in a school informatics course. The purpose of the article is to propose variant of the content of teaching the elements of artificial intelligence for the general education of schoolchildren as part of the curricular and extracurricular activities in informatics. An analysis of the psychological, pedagogical and scientific-methodical literature in the field of artificial intelligence made it possible to identify the appropriateness of teaching schoolchildren the elements of artificial intelligence in the framework of a comprehensive informatics course, as the theoretical foundations of modern information technologies. Summarizing and systematizing the learning experience of schoolchildren in the field of artificial intelligence made it possible to form variant of the content of teaching the elements of artificial intelligence, which can be implemented in a compulsory informatics course for 9th grade, as well as in elective classes. The results of the study are the theoretical basis for the further development of the components of the methodological system of teaching the elements of artificial intelligence in a school informatics course. The research materials may be useful to specialists in the field of teaching informatics and to informatics teachers.

The article discusses the prospects of role-playing games in the educational process to increase students’ motivation and involvement, as well as the possibility of modern information technologies (primarily social networks) for constructing innovative forms of such games. The author’s format of the live-action role-playing game is presented. It was developed and tested at the Saratov State University. It involves the integration of numerous educational tasks into a single plot, within which each participant plays a role and communicates with other participants to complete tasks. The main interaction, plot development and group activities occur in dialogs, conversations and groups of social networks. This approach has shown its viability in teaching legal disciplines, and also has prospects for use in IT education.
