This article digests some of the general ideas that constitute the concept of colour among the Akan people of Ghana and how their proper understanding and desirable consideration will enhance effective visual communication in the Ghanaian visual arts curriculum. The investigation, which involved a number of conversations with knowledgeable personalities in the teaching and speaking of the Akan language, sought to bring out the perceptions, beliefs and functions of colour among the people. The outcome of the study pointed to how colour resides deeply within the traditional lives of the Akan people, not only as aesthetical experience but also as an ‘object’ of cultural and spiritual signification. The study therefore recommends a proper understanding of and conscious respect to the perceptions and meanings of colour among contemporary Akan designers and design educators to improve the design experience of teachers, learners and practitioners.

In recent years, green design has experienced rapid development, but also exposed a series of problems such as high cost, lack of humanization, low recycling rate and so on. For these drawbacks, designers have an unavoidable responsibility. This paper analyzes the existing problems in green design. From the change of design thinking, the eco-friendly design method is explored. In this paper, the design from material selection to production, and then to the recovery of the whole process of overall consideration, follow the principle of reduction, reuse, recycling. The content of visual communication design can be roughly classified. According to their own characteristics, the best design scheme is selected. Through the application of different media, replace the high pollution, high consumption of paper printing. It is proposed that the large-scale promotion of environmental protection materials can be realized by simplifying the quantity and types of materials. At the same time, this paper expounds the implementation method of green design education in art design education in Colleges and universities. This paper fully analyzes the purpose and value of green design education from the curriculum and content, teaching methods, the specific implementation of teaching effect evaluation and evaluation. The results show that promoting sustainable development of green education can cultivate students' creativity, innovation and creative ability. A perfect green design education system and a correct concept of ecological civilization can be established.

In visual communication design education, teachers strive to help students understand how to generate ideas in whatever form of graphics they are trying to create. This paper focuses on how we apply the concept of synesthesia in a visual composition, specifically in the form of a page layout comprising both text and images. This research is done in a class of second-year students majoring in graphic design in a visual communication design bachelor program. Students are given an assignment to create a multi-column layout and incorporate the synesthesia concept in their design. The result is quite interesting, with some artworks showing what can be considered as universal synesthetic experience for the viewers. The artworks are then evaluated and considered for future classroom exercises.

Representing visual experiences is an essential part of architectural design education for creativity. The representation of creative ideas relates to the ability to communicate spatial design concepts. This study examined whether filmic spaces could function as visual communication to enhance students’ creative thinking in architecture. It explored how creativity can be supported throughout an architectural design studio with a conceptual tool that translates filmic spaces into spatial design. To investigate the ways to translate filmic space into spatial design tools for creative thinking, we conducted a design studio with first-year university students. Focusing on using various elements of film, including movement, frame, montage, light, and color, and scene changes to represent architectural languages, a curriculum was developed and implemented in a Visual Communication Design Studio for one semester, stimulating students to engage in expressing their ideas in three-dimensional spaces. The overall results suggested that the design education method that used the filmic space as a stimulating tool for creative thinking, emphasizing the role of visual communication, could enhance students’ creative thinking, leading to improved creative design processes.

The arrival of Hanson made an important contribution to Visual Communication and Multimedia Design education in Indonesia. Visual communication design paradigm according to Hanson experiencing a media shifting. Many works of art, multi media, prints, previously leaning on consumables, shifted to E-media. The existence of this e-media is difficult to resist and many of the efficiency it produces.
Hanson also explained his arrival as a form of introduction to the younger generation the opportunities of work in the field of visual communication design.

Abstrak
Fenomena Digital Era Revolusi Industri 4.0. Memasuki era Revolusi Industri 4.0, pemerintah Indonesia menyusun peta jalan berupa Making Indonesia 4.0.
