Introduction: In the paper, we examine the energy consumption efficiency of specialized container diesel trucks engaged in container transportation at a seaport terminal. Objectives: Using the container terminal at Klaipėda in Lithuania as the background for the research, we produced an improved energy consumption model for measuring the theoretical energy consumption and regeneration of diesel trucks at the terminal and provide a comparative analysis. Methods: We created a mathematical model which describes the instantaneous energy consumption of the diesel trucks, taking into account their dynamic properties and the overall geometry of their routes—“Ship-Truck-Stack-Ship”—using the superposition principle. We investigated other critical parameters relevant to the model and provide a statistical evaluation of the transportation process using data from a case study of Klaipėda port, where we collected measurements of container transportation parameters using georeferenced movement detection and logs from wireless equipment positioned on the diesel-powered container trucks. Results: The modeling results showed that an instantaneous evaluation of energy consumption can reveal areas in the container transportation process which have the highest energy loss and require the introduction of new management and process control initiatives to address the regulations which are designed to decrease harmful industrial emissions and encourage novel technologies and thereby increase the eco-friendliness of existing systems. Conclusion: Based on the research results, the article can provide a reference for the estimation of diesel truck efficiency in seaport terminal operations.

The cut tobacco transporting is the absolutely necessarily important tache, whether the transportation process stability is a direct impact on production quality and manufacturing standards. The wind system is adopted by most tobacco companies because of it caused least disruptive of the cut tobacco structure and the pipe network layout of system is flexible, but the wind system is greater influence by itself, different control methods are caused greater difference of process indicators, for example essence and spice ingredients, moisture proportion and smoke flavor. Based on the above reasons, so we need to design the control method of wind system necessarily, in addition we must checkout the control accuracy opportunely, so that it is satisfied by the actual working conditions.

Maritime industry is one of the most globally connected industries that include transportation of numerous types of goods and documents across the world. With that said, it is safe to say that abundance of financial and paper-trail transactions are made every day in order for goods to be transported from one place to another. The scope of this paper is to show that by implementing blockchain technology savings in time and money could be generated. This paper presents costs of container freights and rates in the last few years and assumes possible future costs of container freights and rates if blockchain based technology is implemented. Additionally, by using comparative method economical and time value of “traditional” bill of lading is compared with a blockchain bill of lading solution. It is also important to mention the potential impact of the blockchain technology on the world environment and ecology by reducing global paper consumption and emissions from vehicles that are used in the transportation process. This paper also gives a descriptive and comprehensive overview of current and future applications of blockchain technology in maritime industry.

To solve the confusing problem of different grades of slurry in the grades pipeline, this paper presents a new technology for slurry sizing dehydration. The method realizes the grading treatment by making full use of dehydrating station agitation tank and thickener buffer storage capacity. Research has shown that the method can effectively solve the grading dehydration process after the arrival terminal dehydration station in different grade slurry, and ensure the multi-grade mineral classification sequence transportation process completed successfully.

This article analyses the conception of the improvement of hazardous goods transportation technology as well as its theoretical principles. Basic organizational aspects of hazardous goods safe transportation are also represented. Effective and safe hazardous goods transportation is possible only using good informational supply. Process modelling and the creation of hazardous goods transportation informational system can improve each hazardous goods transportation technological process. This system should join its components on the whole and coordinate state institutions. The article studies the experience of foreign countries in the creation of informational systems. In the world developed countries various methods of safe dangerous goods transportation are used. This article analyses the types of informational technologies application problems, shows their schemes. It is noted that the solution of transport technology problems is based on the improvement of technological supply, the rational usage of informational modelling methodology of the whole transportation process.
