The most essential way to realize the goals in emission reduction is to speed up industrial restructuring and promote the transformation of economic growth pattern. This article collected four-digit indexes concerning industrial restructuring in 30 provinces (cities, regions) in China from 1999 to 2007 to show the extent of industrial restructuring in that area. And then it matched these figures to those of environmental pollution on provincial level. This way, it would be able to see how manufacturing industrys inner restructuring affects the emission. The results showed that Chinas industrial restructuring had led to a significant decrease in the emission per unit of GDP.

Abstract:Between the 1848 War and the first decade of the Twenty Century, Sonora?s history was marked by three fundamental events. The first one was the railroad construction inside the Mexican territory led by Americans. The second one, resulting as a consequence of the railroad links, was the rise of the mine production, focused on industrial metals, particularly cooper. This fact brought on the increasing presence and eventual predominance of American markets and capital in the State. Although such openness towards the USA transformed Sonora in one of the richest states of Mexico, it also sealed its dependency upon the Northern Neighbour. Finally, due to the increasing importance of the American markets and American investments, the retook place an economic growth pattern that favored those localities more closely tied to the USA at the expense of others. This essay tells part of this history.Key words: Sonora, 19th Century, Railroad links, Northern Mexico, Mining, Cooper.

In this paper, we develop a methodology for studying the sustainability of the circular economy model based on environmental factors. In open-end systems, waste is converted back to materials and objects through recycling; hence, a linear economy is transformed into a circular economy. Environmental factors support an argument for the sustainable implementation of a circular economy. As humans are producing and using more and more matter and energy for the economy, the environment and recycling become more and more important factors affecting public health. The aim of this study is to present the economic factors of the sustainable development of a circular economy, based on the findings of the economic literature in the field. Starting with the Mankiw–Romer–Weil model of economic growth based on resource productivity, environmental employment, recycling rate and environmental innovation, three statistical hypotheses were validated through a panel data model with the use of the statistical software EViews 9. An econometric analysis was performed for 27 European Union countries between 2007 and 2016. The results highlight that the extended Mankiw–Romer–Weil model is determined by resource productivity, environmental employment, recycling rate and environmental innovation. Investing in recycling infrastructure and innovative resources is essential for the econometric model presented in our analysis, which is in line with the aims of environmental protection and sustainable economic growth.

This article chooses the evaluation index from The Report of Sustainable Development Strategy of China and quantifies the environmental innovation level. We exploit the data of western region from the year 1995 to 2010 and forecast the regional environmental innovation level in 2011 and 2012 through ARIMA model. The result of prediction indicates the tendency of stable increase of this level. We then use unit root test, co-integration analysis and Granger Causality to test the relationship between the environmental innovation and economic growth. The result shows the long-term equilibrium relationship between them; environmental innovation has positive external spillover effects on economic growth and they follow the Granger Causality. The results of empirical analysis comply with the situation of societal and economic development of western area. Finally, the relevant policy recommendations are proposed.
