For improving the damage effect to underwater target of warhead, a kind of metamorphic tapered angle shaped charge is designed, and the damge mechanism is analyzed. The physics modle of tapered and spherical shaped charge under underwater explosion is built, numerical simulation is done by LS-DYNA, the stress distribution and velocity of jet are got. The result shows that the shaped charge jet formed by this kind of structure can provide moving space for latter EFP, which improving the damage effect to target.

Biomedical signal/image processing and analysis are always fascinating tasks in scientific researches, both theoretical and practical. One of the powerful tools in such topics is wavelet theory which has been proved to be challenging since its discovery. One of the best measures of the optimality of reconstruction of signals/images is the well-known Shannon’s entropy. In wavelet theory, this is very well known and researchers are familiar with it. In the present work, a step forward is proposed based on more general wavelet tools. New approach is proposed for the reconstruction of signals/images provided with multiwavelets Shannon-type entropy to evaluate the order/disorder of the reconstructed signals/images. Efficiency and accuracy of the approach is confirmed by a simulation study on several models such as ECG, EEG and DNA/Proteins’ signals.

For the Three Gorges granite, a finite difference software package FLAC was used to study failure process of heterogeneous rock material. Based on mineral components identification results of the granite and fuzzy clustering method, the actual image date was transformed into the finite difference grid by applying image processing techniques. A convenient and efficient two-dimensional numerical modeling method for heterogeneous geomaterials was presented. Then, failure process of the granite were simulated in uniaxial compression test based on experimental strain soft model, and the stress concentration phenomenon was analyzed. The results show that the numerical modeling method based on digital image processing can be used to calculate the mechanical responses of geomaterials by taking their heterogeneities into considerations.

Water-lubricated rubber bearings are one of the most appropriate bearings for underwater use. Because of the configuration and special application environment, numerical simulation is difficult with FEM software and relevant report is rare. The water lubrication is especially interesting in terms of cost and convenience. As a result of capital cost of water-lubricated rubber bearing and time consuming experiment, the numerical approach with FEM prevails. But owning to the petty gap where lubrication fluid is bounded in, the modeling is very difficult. Three dimensional free modal and stress distribution of the bearing are analyzed in numerical simulating with FEM software. The present work of analyzing model is further worthwhile as the model can give yield results according to experiments. The modal and harmonic analyzing results can be used directly in material design and also the improvement of structure.
