Abstract The effect of moisture content on acoustic emission (AE) during wood damage was studied and the degree of damage was evaluated accordingly. In this article, the Pinus massoniana test-pieces of three different moisture content states, which are ovendried, air-dried, and water-saturated, were used to study the AE frequency characteristics of wood during bending failure. The original AE signal was subjected to wavelet denoising, and the denoised AE signal was classified into DAE (deformation AE) and FAE (fracture AE) according to the frequency distribution characteristics. Then, the instantaneous frequency of the AE signal was obtained by Hilbert transform, and the density of the two types of AE events was separately counted to evaluate the damage degree of the wood. The test results show that the AE signal in the process of wood damage and fracture was composed of two frequency components. The DAE signal frequency was concentrated at 30 to 60 kHz, the FAE signal was concentrated at 160 to 170 kHz, and the moisture content had no significant effect on the frequency distribution of AE events. In addition, the moisture content caused a change in the fracture toughness of the wood, so that the AE event density characteristics of the three damage processes were different. In particular, the ovendried test-piece showed obvious brittle fracture, and the AE event density level was slightly changed. Studies have shown that the change of AE event density based on instantaneous frequency can objectively evaluate and predict the degree of wood damage and fracture.

This chapter provides a System-of-Systems (SoS) perspective on a study of frequency estimation of signals with a focus on Linear Frequency Modulation (LFM) signals. This chapter describes an SoS approach for frequency estimation using Chirplet Transform (CT), Hough Transform (HT), and the Short Time Fourier Transform (STFT) with filtering viewpoint. The filtering viewpoint employs the filter impulse response length to obtain the best time-frequency concentration for accurate estimation of a signal frequency. The optimum impulse response length can be found by varying the length of the filter impulse response and observe the changing in the time-frequency distribution (TFD). The chapter shows that when the length of the impulse response becomes longer, the time-frequency concentration in TFD increases first and then decreases.

It is extremely meaningful to identify the processing dosage which directly influence the processing time, quality and other processing factors. In order to obtain the trend of lathing processing dosage, ordinary horizontal lathe was researched using the power signal frequency spectrum method, through the frequency distribution and the differences of amplitude, the trends of lathing processing dosage was identified. The collected current signal was turned into power signal first, when the cut depth is large, it is able to identify the trends of processing dosage through the fluctuations of the power signal, but when the cutting depth is small, compared to the power signal of idling state, there is not obvious difference to distinguish them. In this case, the frequency distribution and the differences of amplitude of the power signal were introduced.

Malaria is one of the health problems in Indonesia, especially West Sumatra. Determination of the description of Malaria disease in an area is needed to determine the spread and severity of the disease. This study aims to determine the frequency distribution according to age, sex and place of residence, description of the types of Plasmodium causes of Malaria and hematological features in Malaria patients at Siti Rahmah Padang Hospital in 2018. This type of research is a descriptive observational study with an approach or design cross section (cross sectional). The frequency distribution of Malaria sufferers in Siti Rahmah Padang Hospital in 2018 according to the highest age was in the age group 21-30 years as many as 28 cases (36.8%), the highest sex among men was 46 (60.5%) and the highest number of residences was found in Koto Tangah sub-district there were 31 cases (40.8%). The type of Plasmodium found in Malaria cases in Siti Rahmah Padang Hospital in 2018 was P. vivax (73 cases (96.05%)) and P. falciparum (3 cases (3.95%)). The results of laboratory tests on Hb, hematocrit, platelet and leukocyte levels in Malaria positive patients in Siti Rahmah Padang Hospital in 2018 were in the normal range.

As organizer of social health insurance, social security health agencies continue to work so that all health facilities in Indonesia to support the passage of the health insurance program optimally so that all participants BPJS health benefit services. The purpose of this study was to determine the benefits of health care received by patients in health centers health BPJS participants Lempake cities Samarinda 2015 consists of variable promotive, preventive care, and curative services. The research method used is descriptive quantitative survey approach. The total sample is 100 patients. Data analysis using frequency distribution. Resulth of analysis using frequency distribution of 100 respondents showed that patients benefit as much as 89 respondents promotive services, patients feel the benefits of preventive care as much as 66 respondents, and patients feel the benefits of curative services as much as 95 respondents.
