This article describes the pumping test procedures and test results of the subway project 30m deep excavation dewatering in thick aquifer. A groundwater three-dimensional seepage numerical calculation model is established. We use the model to calculate and compare the calculated results and the actual results, obtain hydrogeological parameters by inversion. Further, we have a numerical simulation study on deep excavation dewatering with the hydrogeological parameters, the Simulation results and excavation pre-dewatering test results are consistent. Test results show that the model can reflect the deep excavation dewatering process with complex geological conditions.

In order to increase the quality of the products manufactured by injection molding, RTC technology can be used to achieve higher mold temperatures. As a result, the path of the injected melt can be extended, allowing the production of parts with more complex shapes and greater length. Induction heating allows heating only selected forming surfaces of the mold which increases the speed and efficiency of the process. This paper presents the concept of a detachable inductor integrated with sliders to enable the application of this technology in an injection mold with sliders, along with the theoretical model used to perform the tests. First, the effect of the magnetic concentrator shape on the process was analyzed. This was followed by a simulation study of the influence of process parameters: heating time, frequency, and electric current. An extensive analysis of the test results of the temperature distribution on the insert allowed for the selection of parameter sets that would enable obtaining the desired surface temperature without a major increase in process time. The results of simulation studies confirm the possible applications and present the range of parameters for obtaining the optimal process.

Aimed at the characteristic that the leakage of constant clearance seal hydraulic cylinder increases with the pressure escalating, the paper proposed a kind of pressure compensation variable clearance seal hydraulic cylinder based on the metal elastic-plastic theory and the study of clearance seal. The paper analyzed the deformation mechanism and deduced the calculation formula of the deformation. It also had a simulation study of the deformation of the piston lip. By experiment, it gained the variation law of the leakage changing with the pressure changing. Test results showed that, the deformation of the piston can effectively decrease the leakage of the clearance.

Observed power analysis is recommended by many scholarly journal editors and reviewers, especially for studies with statistically nonsignificant test results. However, researchers may not fully realize that blind observance of this recommendation could lead to an unfruitful effort, despite the repeated warnings from methodologists. Through both a review of 14 published empirical studies and a Monte Carlo simulation study, the present study demonstrates that observed power is usually not as informative or helpful as we think because (a) observed power for a nonsignificant test is generally low and, therefore, does not provide additional information to the test; and (b) a low observed power does not always indicate that the test is underpowered. Implications and suggestions of statistical power analysis for quantitative researchers are discussed.

Soft soils has low bearing capacity and high compressibility which is potentially damage the structure laid above it. An effort is taken to use EPS beads to form GGC will accelerate of consolidation process. The purpose of study to investigate the influence of density and diameters of GGC against strength and settlement. Triaxial test are conducted to identify the shear strength parameter after consolidation test were done. The equivalence value of permeability (kve) is calculated using the Chai Method (2001) by considering smear effect. Test results showed that the settlement of soft soil in 90 degree consolidation reached in short period of time upon for smallest density and largest diameter of GCC.
