Subject. This article examines the theoretical and practical aspects of the implementation of industrial policy and the structural transformation of the manufacturing industry in St. Petersburg. Objectives. The article aims to justify the priority of the industry-based approach to industrial policy in St. Petersburg and determine its effectiveness by highlighting the factors of structural transformation of the city's manufacturing industry using the Shift-Share Analysis method. Methods. For the study, I used logical, statistical, and factor analyses. Results. Based on shift-share analysis, the study highlights positive results of industrial policy in the development of certain industries in St. Petersburg, as well as those industries that require further development of urban industrial policy. Conclusions. Despite the fact that the industry of St. Petersburg as a whole has become more stable, problems in the development of mechanical engineering and production of computers, electronic and optical products have not yet been solved.

This study aims to (1) discover the shift of economic structure of East Java Province period 2010 and 2015; (2) to identify the various leading sectors in economic development in East Java Province Period 2010 and 2015. The analysis method used in this research is quantitative descriptive by using the Input-Output approach. The linkages between sectors of the economy, leading sectors, and economic sector multipliers have widely used to analyze this approach. Furthermore, structural shifts are analyzed using a multiplier product matrix (MPM) that can describe the landscape of an economy. The results showed that based on the analysis of MPM has not occurred a shift in economic structure significantly. However, there has been a change in the tertiary sector. Although until now, the economy of East Java Province is still dominated by the secondary industry. The leading industry of East Java Province is owned by the manufacturing industry, although there are other potential sectors as the leading sector.

The fast-fashion industry is one of the manufacturing industry that is associated with the developing countries as a producer of their products. Authors carriying an issue of labor relations in the fast-fashion industry which is very important to be studied due to exploitation issues. The main focus of the study is to assess the film “The True Cost” which describes the fast-fashion industry in Bangladesh and “Nike Sweatshops” which describes the fast-fashion industry in Indonesia. This study sought to answer whetherthe exploitation occurs in fast-fashion industry are presented in the movie “The True Cost” and “Nike Sweatshops” and how the mechanism of the exploitation is working. By using the content analysis method, it was found that in both films the exploitation did occur, but both films have similarities and differences of the dominant aspects of exploitation based on wages, health insurance, safety insurance, time, physical violence and the formation of unions. In addition besides the findings of the movie, the context of the economic, social, and political in certain periods and employment policies contribute to the occurrence of labor exploitationIndustri fast-fashion merupakan salah satu jenis industri manufaktur yang tidak terlepas kaitannya dengan negara-negara berkembang sebagai penghasil produknya.

Cold rolling is widely employed in the manufacturing industry for the production of metal plates. In the cold rolling process, the thickness reduction of the metal plate under the recrystallization temperature generates severe anisotropy; this influences the subsequent forming processes. Therefore, the generation and prediction of metal plate anisotropy during cold rolling is a highly interesting research topic involving upstream studies of sheet metal forming. In this study, using the finite element method with zooming analysis, we established an efficient elastic–plastic analysis method to predict the metal plate texture after cold rolling. This method for cold rolling texture prediction was confirmed by comparing the experimental and simulation results of cold rolling for an S45C plate with a body-centered cubic lattice. Further, the numerical analysis method proposed in this study can contribute to the study of anisotropy as an alternative to experimental approaches.

At the beginning of 2020 the world was shocked by the corona virus pandemic (Covid-19) which infected almost all countries in the world. In Indonesia this has an impact on the manufacturing industry sector and survey services. Through this phenomenon, researchers want to look at human psychological factors, how anxious they are about the impact of covid-19, which can lead to potential infection, reduced personal income, companies going bankrupt, massive layoffs, reduced need for staples, and communication between employees which is obstructed. The study design used a cross sectional approach by distributing questionnaires to 220 employees, from the manager, supervisor and staff level using the Discriminant analysis method so that the discriminant function to determine the level of anxiety evaluation was D = -0.003 + 0.634x1 + 0.696x3 - 0.520x4 + 0.168 x5 - 0.864x7.
