This study examined the influence of teachers’ emotional intelligence (EI) on academic achievement and outlined the model with the mediating effect of job satisfaction (JS) between the EI and academic achievement. Survey method was employed to collect the information from 728 secondary school teachers belong to Himachal Pradesh, a state of Northern India, through various statistical tools. The results of the study showed that teachers’ emotional abilities were significantly and positively associated with academic achievement of students and showed R2 61% variance in academic achievement. The relationship between EI and academic achievement of students is partially mediated by JS.

Work Life Balance (WLB) is the current biggest problem being faced by the corporate employees. This research aims to evaluate the challenges of WLB that an employee has to face in his daily life, meanwhile what role does Emotional Intelligence (EI) play and to see how organizations can initiate to support them to improve their WLB and make them satisfied of their job. It aims to find out the impact of EI employee Job Satisfaction (JS) in the presence of WLB of corporate employees in Karachi, Hyderabad and Thatta. To fulfill this purpose, quantitative methodology was adopted, 300 questionnaires were distributed, and SPSS version 22 was used to analyse data. The results indicate that EI has significant and positive impact on employee JS whether in the presence or absence of WLB. Finally, the results of ANOVA test between male and female employees are statistically different for WLB and EI but no significant difference between the genders was statistically found for JS. There is also no significance difference observed between marital status for EI, WLB and JS. From the findings of the research, some solutions are recommended to improve employees WLB for their job satisfaction in corporate sector.

Introductin: A large portion of a person’s days is spent at work. Job satisfaction has an important role in deliverables quality and goal achieved. Job satisfaction affects job interest and emotional intelligence so that, a study was conducted in 2018 in the Ministry of Health and Medical Education to determine the mediating effect of emotional intelligence on the structural relationship between job satisfaction and job interest among 253 Ministry of Health and Medical Education experts. Method: Evaluation was based on the Amabile’s, two-factor Herzberg’s and Golman’s theories using the Amabile work preference, Danet job satisfaction, and sharing emotional intelligence questionnaires. Research was conducted by available sampling method. The research was a cross-sectional and descriptive and correlational. In order to test the hypotheses, the path analysis method in the structural equations model in AMOS software was used. The Sobel test was used to examine the mediating effect of emotional intelligence as intermediate variable. Results: The results indicated that there was a significant and positive relationship between intrinsic and extrinsic motivations of job preferences, emotional intelligence, and job satisfaction based on the direct effect coefficient. Conclusion: In conclusion, the direct and indirect effects of the mediation variable and predicted variable shows that emotional intelligence has the most effects on job satisfaction and, the internal instinct is in the second place. Based on the study, emotional intelligence is a mediation variable between job preferences and job satisfaction.

The purpose of this study is to examine the moderated mediating effect of emotional intelligence on emotional labor(surface acting, deep acting) and job burnout on job satisfaction among securities branch clerks. A total of 288 securities clerks were asked to complete the questionnaires and the data were analyzed using SPSS 23.0 and Mplus 7.0. The results were as follows. First, surface acting had no significant effect on job satisfaction. Seocond, deep acting had significantly positive effect on job satisfaction. Third, surface acting were found to have significantly positive effect on job burnout. Fourth, deep acting were found to have significantly negative effect on job burnout. Fifth, job burnout is shown to have significantly negative effect on job satisfaction. Sixth, a mediating model showed that an association between surface acting and deep acting and job satisfaction were partially mediated by job burnout. Seventh, emotional intelligence showed the moderated mediating effect of deep acting and job burnout on job satisfaction. Finally, the implications and limitation of the present study are discussed.

The study intended to examine leaders’ emotional intelligence, emotional work climate and job satisfaction among several teams of higher educational institutes. A few studies have examined the effects of these variables but seldom studies existed which examined the level of these variables. The aim of this study was to find out the difference between the true mean and the comparison value. Questionnaire survey of 30 team leaders and 120 team members was conducted. The paper applied one sample t-test using the SPSS 20 software to test the hypothesis. The study found out that there is a slight difference between the true mean and the comparison value. Although the difference is statistically significant but not large enough to be practically significant. Therefore, the subjects recruited were treated as normal.


The dynamic business environment has pressured business leaders to think deeply on the strategies to be competitive and to move upwards. The need to have a strong strategic asset has become an important agenda. This paper studied three variables in the performance of an organisation in the manufacturing industry. Questionnaires were distributed among the executives in the organisation. There exist a relationship among the variables. It was further found that Job Satisfaction had a stronger mediating effect as compared with Organisational Citizenship Behaviour. This showed satisfaction is an important aspect which management needs to focus if they want to achieve a higher competitive advantage.

This study aims to examine the impact of emotional intelligence and job satisfaction on organisational commitment. Data are collected from sample of 102 employees working in the Arab Bank which is a one of the most important bank in Jordan. The multiple regression analysis is used to analyze the proposed hypotheses. The results indicate that emotional intelligence and job satisfaction have strong and positive impacts on organizational commitment. Lastly, the implications of this study provided support for the scholars of organizational factors, particularly in banking sector.

Purpose: This paper presents results from an empirical study in the banking sector in Qatar on the impact of high-performance work practices (HPWPs) on employee’s innovative work behaviour (IWB). In particular, the study seeks to examine the impact of HPWP on employees work attitudes of job satisfaction and organisational commitment, and of the possible mediating link of employees’ attitudes (i.e., satisfaction and commitment) on HPWPs and IWB link. Methodology: Data were collected from employees about their perception of the use of HPWPs in their banks and about their level of satisfaction at work, their perceived commitment, and their innovative work behaviour. The sample included 150 employees working in different banks at Qatar. Findings: The findings suggest that HPWPs are positively related to job satisfaction, organisational commitment, and IWB. Also, the study provides support for the mediating effect of organisational commitment on the HPWPs and IWB link. Practical implications: When trying to inspire employees IWB through managerial practices (like HPWPs) in Qatari banks, management needs to pay attention to employees work related attitudes such as job satisfaction and organisational commitment. Limitations: The unique characteristics of the Qatari banks limits the generalizability of the study findings. Originality: This is the first study that explores the mediating role of job satisfaction and organisational commitment on HPWPs-IWB link after conducting a comprehensive PLS analysis. Moreover, the study provides evidence of this possible link in what is believed to be unique study setting.
