This study aims to determine the effect of the generative learning model to improve the mathematical connection of elementary school students. This research was conducted at SDN Tanjungwangi in the 2020/2021 academic year with a research sample of 20 class III A students and 20 class III B students. This research method uses a quasi-experimental method. The data analysis technique in this study uses N-gain calculations to measure the increase in students' mathematical connection abilities, (t-test) to determine the effect of using generative learning models on students' mathematical connection abilities. The results showed that (1) an increase in mathematical connection ability with an average N-gain in the experimental class obtained a result of 0.79 with the criteria "high" and the average N-gain in the control obtained a result of 0.05 with the criteria "very low" . (2) there is an effect of the use of generative models on the ability of mathematical connections with the results of tcount < ttable 0.830 < 2.024. Thus, it can be concluded that there is an influence of the generative learning model on the mathematical connection ability of elementary school students.

The local wisdom of the Sambas Malay ethnic from generation to generation in this study are 12 species. Among the 12 are two local wisdom that is almost extinct ie behind the mat and ngukor. This study aims to obtain information and describe related local wisdom ethnic Malay Sambas studied in mathematical connection. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. Data obtained through questionnaires and interviews on the parties concerned. The result of the research shows that there are 12 local wisdom of Melayu Sambas ethnic that ever exist in social life, and that is still realized 10 local wisdom (except ngukor and pacoan). While the local wisdom of Malay Sambas ethnic who have relevance to the mathematical connection and strengthening the education of social and environmental care characters there are 10 kinds. To categorize and pacoan pertained weak connection relevance.

This study is investigates the college student’s errors on their graph representations making based on the mathematical connections indicators. Pilot studies were conducted with 4 college students of middle to high ability in Graph Theory class. Data analyze revealed that top 3 subject’s errors are 1) Finding the relations of a representations to it’s concepts and procedures, 2) Applying mathematics in other sciences or real life problems, and 3) Finding relations among procedures of the equivalent representations. Their lack of graph concepts understanding and it’s connections plays the major role in their errors. They failed at recognizing and choosing the suitable properties of graph which able to detect the error of their graph representation. So, in order to decrease college student errors in graph representations, we need to strengthen their basic concepts and its connections.

Nanotechnology-based thermal insulation materials have appeared in building industry in the last two decades. Among them thermal insulating coatings consisted of vacuum-hollow nano-ceramic microspheres are the subjects of most professional discussion. Most studies about these coatings focus only on examination of thermodynamic properties, because there is still no consensus in academic circles about thermodynamic processes inside nano-ceramic coatings. These professional discussions distract attention from other unknown but also important material properties, like behavior by contact with moisture. This paper summarizes the results of moisture behavior tests with nano-ceramic thermal insulation coatings which were conducted to determine the time trend of water absorption, as well as volume, mass and thermal insulation quality changes caused by increasing moisture content. Analyzing the results mathematical connections were found to describe the relation between water content, dimensional and thermal conductivity changes.
