Proper motion work at the present time relies on the availability of plates taken in the past, for which the magnitude limit is generally not fainter than about mpg = 16, apart from Luyten's survey with the Palomar Schmidt. It is very important for future studies to fainter magnitudes in, for example, star clusters, that sufficient time is made available on large telescopes so that plates can be taken now. Consideration should also be given to an extension of proper motion work in Selected Areas.Ideally, trigonometric parallax observations are best carried out on a dedicated telescope, such as the USNO 61-in. reflector, with a large amount of time available; but if sufficient observational material is to be obtained on faint stars, time must also be taken on other medium sized and large reflectors. With the severe limitation of time available on these telescopes, the criteria for selection of stars for such programmes become of prime importance. Large Schmidt telescopes, with fast automatic plate measurement, may possibly be used for surveys of nearby stars, unbiased by any kinematic or photometric selection effects.

A szerzők cikkükben áttekintést adnak a cloud computing mai helyzetéről és a számítási felhőben működő adatfeldolgozó rendszerekkel (kiemelten ERP) kapcsolatos felhasználói elvárásokról, illetve kezdeti, németországi alkalmazási tapasztalatokról. Külön tárgyalják az ERP-rendszerek új kiválasztási céljait és kritériumait, melyek a felhőkörnyezet speciális lehetőségei miatt alakultak ki. _____ The concept of ‘Cloud’ as an IT notion emerged in the past years and proliferated within the business and IT professional community. The concept of cloud gained awareness both in the professional and scientific literature and in the practice of IT/IS world. The cloud has a profound impact on the Business Information Systems, especially on ERP systems. Indirectly, the cloud leads to a massive standardization on ERP systems and their services. In this paper, the authors provide a literature overview about the current situation of Cloud Computing and the requirements established by end-users against the other data processing facilities and systems, outstandingly the ERP systems. The majority of investigated cases are based on samples from Germany. Furthermore, the initial experiences of application are discussed. Separately, the recent selection objectives and criteria for ERP systems are investigated that came into existence because the appearance of Cloud in the IT environment.

Fifty infants less than 1 year old with Hirschsprung's disease were treated at Children's Memorial Hospital in the past 6 years. Thirty-two of the 35 barium enema studies yielded "diagnostic" roentgenographic studies, and 3 were "negative" for Hirschsprung's disease. Fourteen of the 50 infants had a history of diarrhea. Enterocolitis in infants may be extremely rapid in onset and progression. It should be vigorously treated with rectal irrigations and intravenous fluids. Nineteen patients (38%) had aganglionic segments extending above the rectosigmoid colon, and eight (16%) were aganglionic proximal to the splenic flexure. This includes three patients with aganglionosis of the entire colon and one that was aganglionic from the jejunum to anus. Emphasis is placed on an aggressive combined attack by pediatrician, radiologist, pathologist, and surgeon to diagnose and prepare the sick infant as early as possible for colostomy or definitive abdominal-perineal pull-through operation. Twelve infants with an average weight of 12.5 lb were operated on primarily with no deaths or complications. It is our belief that definitive surgery can be done with greater ease in an infant than in older children, but careful selection and preparation of the patient and meticulous operative technique must be exercised. The important criteria for selection of infants for immediate resection are the absence of emaciation and enterocolitis, although the infant may be small. Twenty-six infants had colostomy and resection with no deaths or complications. Our raw mortality figures show 10 deaths in 50 patients (20%). There were 7 deaths in 47 surgical patients (15%).

Background: The implementation of Family Physician Program (FPP) in Iran during the past decade, despite of its numerous achievements, has faced many challenges. We aimed to compare the implementation and the performance of FPP in Iran with selected countries, in order to analyze those challenges and suggest potential solutions. Methods: This current descriptive-comparative study was conducted in 2015. The implementation and the performance of the FPP in Iran and six countries (Canada, Australia, United Kingdom, Denmark, United States and the Netherlands) were described and compared. The criteria for selection of these countries were the existence of well-established FFPs and ease of access to data required to conduct the research. A documentation checklist of the implementation status and FPP practice was prepared. The checklist’s content validity was established by an independent 10 member expert panel, specializing in the field of Family Medicine. The conclusive checklist was finalized for each country, based on inter-rater agreement of the three researchers and used as a basis for this comparative study. Results: This study revealed significant differences in implementation of the FPP and relatively low differences in FPP performance between Iran and the selected countries. Conclusion: Implementation and performance of FPP and patient referral system in Iran struggles with serious challenges and burdens, in contrast with the selected reviewed countries. As such, modification of the FPP in Iran seems to be a must. Such modification may include developing educational programs for FPs, clearly defining the duties and practices of FPs, and revising their reimbursement and employment status.

During the past three years the measurement of stellar radial velocities has formed an important part of the spectroscopic programme of most observatories possessing large telescopes. As observations are carried to fainter and fainter stars and the number of observable objects increases rapidly, a natural development has been the selection of special groups and types of stars, the radial velocities of which will aid in the solution of certain specific problems. Illustrations are the studies of the O, B and A type stars made at the Dominion Astrophysical, the Lick, and the Simeis Observatories, of the members of the galactic clusters at the Lick Observatory, and of the fainter Cepheid variables and early-type stars with strong interstellar lines at the Mount Wilson Observatory.

OBJECTIVE: To identify nursing diagnoses (ND) currently appearing in the NANDA-I taxonomy, validated in the area of cardiology in Brazil. METHODS: An integrative literature review, guided by the following question: what nursing diagnoses were validated in Brazil? Eleven works were analyzed: three content validations and eight clinical validations. RESULTS: The NDs validated were: activity intolerance, decreased cardiac output, spiritual distress, deficient knowledge, excessive fluid volume, ineffective airway clearance, ineffective peripheral tissue perfusion, fear, anxiety, and pain. The highlights were the production of the graduate programs in public institutions, the validation of defining characteristics, models of validation and the modified Fehring criteria for selection of experts . The clinical validation model was used for NDs of the psychobiological sphere; the content validation model was used mainly for NDs in the psychosocial and psychospiritual spheres. CONCLUSION: The knowledge produced can provide a basis for future studies on the relevance of the content of nursing outcomes in the evaluation of the effectiveness of nursing interventions in the country.

In the past few decades, there has been lot of focus on the issue of sustainability. This has occurred due to the growing concerns related to climate change and the growing awareness about environmental concerns. Also, the competition at global level has led to the search for the most sustainable route in the industries. The current research work deals with the selection of green supplier in a Nickle coating industry based on certain weighted green attributes. For this purpose, a hybrid tool comprising of Fuzzy AHP (Fuzzy Analytical Hierarchy) and VIKOR (VlseKriterijumska Optimizacija I Kompromisno Resenje) is used. The Fuzzy AHP is used for assigning proper weights to the selected criteria for supplier evaluation, while VIKOR is used for final supplier selection based on the weighted criteria. The three criterions for green supplier selection are, Ecological packaging, Corporate socio-environmental responsibility and Staff Training. The outcome of the integrated model may serve as a steppingstone to other SMEs in different sectors for selecting the most suitable supplier for addressing the sustainability issue.

Evidence-based assessment relies on research and theory to inform the selection of constructs to be assessed for a specific assessment purpose, the methods and measures to be used in the assessment, and the manner in which the assessment process unfolds. An evidence-based approach to clinical assessment necessitates the recognition that, even when evidence-based instruments are used, the assessment process is a decision-making task in which hypotheses must be iteratively formulated and tested. In this chapter, we review (a) the progress that has been made in developing an evidence-based approach to clinical assessment in the past decade and (b) the many challenges that lie ahead if clinical assessment is to be truly evidence-based.

AbstractUsing brain atlases to localize regions of interest is a requirement for making neuroscientifically valid statistical inferences. These atlases, represented in volumetric or surface coordinate spaces, can describe brain topology from a variety of perspectives. Although many human brain atlases have circulated the field over the past fifty years, limited effort has been devoted to their standardization. Standardization can facilitate consistency and transparency with respect to orientation, resolution, labeling scheme, file storage format, and coordinate space designation. Our group has worked to consolidate an extensive selection of popular human brain atlases into a single, curated, open-source library, where they are stored following a standardized protocol with accompanying metadata, which can serve as the basis for future atlases. The repository containing the atlases, the specification, as well as relevant transformation functions is available in the neuroparc OSF registered repository or https://github.com/neurodata/neuroparc.
