Extended AbstractHinode is a solar observation satellite in Japan and its launch was in September 2006. Its name means “SUNRISE“ in Japanese. It has three instruments onboard in visible light, X-ray, EUV to solve mystery of coronal heating and origins of magnetic fields.Hinode has been providing us with impressive solar data, which are very important for not only investigating solar phenomena but also giving new knowledge about the sun to the public. In order to efficiently communicate Hinode data to the public, we organized working group for public use of Hinode data. which are composed of both researchers and educators in collaboration. As follow, we introduce our activities in brief.For the public use of Hinode data, at first, we produced two DVDs introducing Hinode observation results. In particular, second DVD contains a movie for kids, which are devloped to picturebook. Now, it is under producing an illustrated book and a planetarium program. It turn out that the DVDs help the public understand the sun from questionnaire surveys. Second, we developed teaching materials from Hinode data and had a science classroom about the sun, solar observations, practice with PC such as imaging software at junior high school. As the results, they had much interests in Hinode data. Third, we have joint observations with high school students and so on in a few years. The students compare their own data with Hinode data and have a presentation at science contests. The joint observations make their motivation higher in their activities.It is important to record and report our activities in some ways. So, we positively publish papers and have presentions in domestic/international meetings. Though we are supported in budget, resources and so on by NAOJ Hinode Team, we apply research funds for promoting our EPO activities and acquire some funds such as NAOJ Joint Research Expenses and Grands-Aid for Scientific Research Funds since the launch.This way, since its launch, we have continued various and constant EPO activities for the public use of Hinode data and have been giving intense impacts and high interest to the public. As the result, our activities contribute in further extension of Hinode Mission. Those are quite unique and would be reference of other similar ones. Hinode is now operating and solar activities might get more higher.As long as SUN RISE, we would GO FORWARD!!

Berpikir kreatif merupakan salah satu aspek penting dalam matematika. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi tahapan proses berpikir kreatif siswa SMP dalam aktivitas pengajuan masalah matematika. Tahapan tersebut didasarkan pada hasil Tugas Pengajuan Masalah Matematika (TPMM) dan wawancara. Penelitian ini dilakukan di salah satu SMP Negeri di Kota Jambi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 2 siswa SMP Kelas IX dengan kriteria kreatif, dengan alat pengumpul data berupa TPMM dan pedoman wawancara. Analisis data TPMM dilakukan dengan menganalisis soal yang dapat diselesaikan, kemudian dilihat berdasarkan indikator berpikir kreatif yaitu kelancaran (fluency), keluwesan (flexibility) dan kebaruan (novelty). Wawancara dilakukan berdasarkan 4 tahap proses berpikir kreatif yaitu persiapan, inkubasi, iluminasi, dan verifikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa kreatif melewati empat tahap proses berpikir kreatif, yaitu persiapan, inkubasi, iluminasi, dan verifikasi. Pada tahap persiapan siswa berusaha mendapatkan wawasan dalam menghadapi masalah yang diberikan; tahap inkubasi siswa mencari ide; tahap iluminasi siswa memunculkan ide; dan tahap verifikasi siswa menguji ide yang dihasilkan.Creative thinking is one of the important aspects in mathematics. This study aims to identify the stages of the creative thinking process of junior high school students in the activity of submitting mathematical problems. These stages are based on the results of the Task for Submission of Mathematical Problems (TPMM) and interviews. This research was conducted at one of the Public Middle Schools in Jambi City. The subject of this study were 2 junior high school students of Class IX with creative criteria, with data collection tools in the form of TPMM and interview guidelines. TPMM data analysis is done by analyzing the questions that can be solved, then seen based on creative thinking indicators, namely fluency, flexibility and novelty. Interviews were conducted based on 4 stages of the creative thinking process, namely preparation, incubation, illumination, and verification. The results showed that creative students passed the four stages of the creative thinking process, namely preparation, incubation, illumination, and verification. In the preparation stage students try to gain insight in dealing with problems given; incubation stage students look for ideas; the student's illumination stage raises ideas; and the verification stage students test the idea produced.

Reading is the basic in learning every subject. The more understanding the text, the more information students can gain. However, the reading materials that the students use is not appropriate based on syllabus. Therefore, the reading materials should be developed to fulfil the syllabus and the students' needs also. Because English is included Content Area Reading, so the development of reading materials is based on content area which focus on strengthen the vocabularies, specifically the unfamiliar ones, by giving glossary and related pictures. The developed text is only focus in the first semester which is descriptive and recount text. The research was conducted at SMP Muhammadiyah 7 Medan. The data was taken from interviewing the English teacher and distributing questionnaires for 30 students in grade VIII-4. The data showed that students need materials which is related to their environment and constructed by familiar vocabularies. Based on the result of the study, conclusion and suggestion are directed to the English teacher who is teaching in that school to provide reading materials based on syllabus and students' needs regularly.

The study deals with the Contextual Teaching and Learning of the students’ reading comprehension at junior high school. Contextual Teaching and Learning is a new alternative for every teachers to relate the materials to the real world. The aims of the research are to analyze the effect of non and CTL method of the students’ reading comprehension.  The research method is an experimental method. The data analysis is taken from the two classess. Then, they divided into two  groups, the control and experimental group. The major findings of the study shows that the effect of Contextual Teaching and Learning on the students’ reading comprehension is better than the non CTL method-lecture method for the junior high school students.
