The world we live in, is becoming more and more dependent on electrical energy, which, sadly, still heavily relies on outdated techniques involving the burning of fossil fuels. Fortunately, more and more people are accepting the fact that this system simply isn’t sustainable in the longer-run. Even if air pollution wasn’t a huge factor, the shortage of these resources is something that is bound to happen in the nearest future, and it would pose an impassable obstacle towards the future growth of mankind. Hence, importance of renewable energy is such an important trend for the future of mankind. At present, net AC meters are available for measurement of four quadrant energy, which is used at output of both on grid and off grid solar inverter. This meter can measure both, energy fed into the grid and energy utilize from the grid. However Energy generated by solar panel cannot be measured directly. Even in off grid inverter the present net meter cannot measure energy generated by solar panel. In case of DC micro grid, where DC energy is used/ consumed directly by the load, the present net meter cannot be used as they can be used in AC energy measurement only. With the launch and implementation of national energy saving and emission reduction policies in relation to distributed power supply by renewable power generation, the DC energy metering technology will become an inevitable trend, breaking the landscape dominated by AC in the field of electric energy metering. This paper describes introduction, block diagram [1], Hardware and software description for development of dc energy meter.

The goal of power sector in Nigeria is to efficiently and reliably transmit electrical power to all parts of the country which are made up of thirty-six states of the federation and the federal capital territory. The constituents of electrical power system are the generation, transmission, distribution and the utilization of electrical energy. There is gross power imbalance between the generation and the required power demand which has culminated into a defective economy in the last three decades. This paper therefore examines the power imbalance between the generation and power demand by the consumers and therefore stresses the need to harness the opportunity of renewable energy generation close to the gap between the power generation and power demand. This will help in transmitting and distributing efficient, effective, reliable power to consumers and improve both human and capital development. The availability of renewable energy sources such as sun, wind and small hydro power will be explored for the future of power generation in the country to fill in the gap between power generation and demand in Nigeria

The pollution caused by the use of fossil fuels for the production of mechanical or electrical energy is one of the most important environmental issues nowa?days. In this respect, biofuels represent a viable source of energy. Bioethanol as a renewable energy source is derived from organic material of plant origin, so-called biomass, thus reducing environmental pollution. The aim of this study was to analyze the potential of bioethanol in meeting future energy demands in the Republic of Serbia.

Solar Tracker The generation of power from the reduction of fossil fuels is the biggest challenge for the next half century. The idea of converting solar energy into electrical energy using photovoltaic panels holds its place in the front row compared to other renewable sources. But the continuous change in the relative angle of the sun with reference to the earth reduces the watts delivered by solar panel. Conventional solar panel, fixed with a certain angle, limits their area of exposure from the sun due to rotation of the earth. Output of the solar cells depends on the intensity of the sun and the angle of incidence. To solve this problem, an automatic solar cell is needed, where the Solar Tracker will track the motion of the sun across the sky to ensure that the maximum amount of sunlight strikes the panels throughout the day. By using Light Dependent Resistors, it will navigate the solar panel to get the best angle of exposure of light from the sun.

Warehouse management is an important content in the electric energy measuring center standardization construction and a very important part in the full life cycle management of electrical energy measuring instruments. By introducing intelligent warehousing technology, a kind of standardized work flows was proposed based on the production characteristics of the instruments. It combines with the advantages which are high degree of automation and highly integrated. The work flow specificities the new share energy meter storage process, energy meter of storage processes for Verification, as well as distribution warehousing processes. The overall architecture of Energy Metering Centre production scheduling platform was proposed which divided into field equipment layer, monitoring and management layer, production scheduling layer. The design of the layers were introduced.

Energy efficiency and management is certainly one of the key drivers of human progress. Thus, the trends in the energy research are a topic of interest for the scientific community. The aim of this study is to highlight global research trends in this field through the analysis of a scientific journal indexed exclusively in the energy and fuels category. For this purpose, a journal has been selected that is in the center of the category considering its impact factor, which is only indexed in this category and of open access, Energies of the publisher MDPI. Therefore, a bibliometric analysis of all the contents of the journal between 2008 and 2020, 13,740 documents published, has been carried out. Analyzing the articles that are linked to each other by their citations, 14 clusters or research topics have been detected: smart grids; climate change–electric energy community; energy storage; bioenergy sources; prediction algorithms applied to power; optimization of the grid link for renewable energy; wind power; sustainability of power systems; hydrocarbon improvements; conversion of thermal/electrical energy; electric motor advancements; marine renewable energy; hydropower and energy storage; and preventive techniques in power transformers. The main keywords found were electric vehicle, renewable energy, microgrid, smart grid, and energy efficiency. In short, energy research remains necessary to meet the future challenge of sustainable energy with high efficiency and the exploration of new renewable resources, all for increasingly sustainable cities.

There are various types of Renewable Energy (RE) that has been studied by many researchers in order to find a costeffective energy generation in reducing the non-renewable energy source. In this study, the solar energy was suggested in order to apply the Net Energy Metering (NEM) scheme that has been introduced effective on 1st January 2019, by Malaysian government in achieving 20% national RE target in electricity power mix, reducing the dependency on imported fossil fuels. Based on the data and results, the suitable size of solar panel for a house can be determined based on the daily electricity usage. The findings show that the system size and the cost itself also depends on the estimated amount solar generated set by the consumer.

<span>We have, an overview is presented of the potential future demands and possible supply of solar energy to Iraq. Solar energy, which is clean, unlimited, and environmentally friendly, is presented as a renewable energy resource. Many problems such as CO<sub>2</sub> emissions, industry, human activities, and electricity distribution grids have attracted much attention because of the current state of crude oil production and its prices. Moreover, estimations of solar radiation levels and of the efficiencies of photovoltaics (PVs), concentrated solar power (CSP), and solar chimney towers, have all been investigated. Those systems that combine various sources of energy are called hybrids and they have received much attention in recent decades. The basic features of solar radiation in Iraq are outlined, and the selection of those sites with potential for development of solar plants is based on the local largest solar radiation. Moreover, longitudinal and latitudinal orientation, wind, solar intensity, dust, temperature, rain, humidity, and pollution factors are all considered in the calculation of PV/CSP efficiencies. We know there is an abundance of fossil fuels in Iraq, energy shortages began in 1991 because of the perturbation caused by the full ruin of the country. The obvious renewable energy resource available in Iraq is the solar energy, and its exploitation would provide a means to reduce CO<sub>2</sub> emissions from the burning of fossil fuels and to achieve self-sufficiency of electric energy and export the rest to neighboring countries. Solar energy is becoming increasingly important because of the climatic change in the form of global warming.</span>

Diploma III Electrical Technology Study Program is a institutional vocational education institutional in Department of Electrical Engineering and Informatics that aims to produce graduate who are ready to work in operation and maintenance of power system. Since phenomena of scarcity of fossil fuels, study program meet the 2 major problems, namely the limitations of electrical energy for practical lab work and increased job skills on the electrical energy conversion of electrical energy from renewable energy. The purpose of this research is to optimalize capacity of solar and wind energy contained in the environment of the laboratory on the microgrid configuration, namely PV-Wind turbine-Battery. Software HOMER is used to simulate microgrid configuration with AC-DC load, AC load, and DC load. The results show indicate that microgrid PV-Wind turbine-Battery is more economically to meet the need AC-DC load than the others.

  El objetivo de este artículo es presentar los impactos que están causando los combustibles fósiles al ambiente, e incorporar las nuevas fuentes de energías renovables y optar por la generación distribuida GD, ya que el exorbitante crecimiento demográfico ha incitado a generar más energía eléctrica. De igual manera integrar ciertas tecnologías como las redes inteligentes o Smart grids, permitiendo las comunicaciones remotas bidireccionales y disponibles continuamente para la recopilación de información. Finalmente dar el gran paso hacia las ciudades inteligentes, sostenibles, y el internet del futuro.   Palabras claves— ciudades del futuro, energías renovables, fuentes de energía fósiles, generación distribuida (GD), internet del futuro, redes inteligentes.   Abstract   The aim of this paper is to present the impacts that fossil fuels are causing to the environment, add new sources of renewable energy and distributed generation choose GD, since excessive population growth has led to generate more electricity. Similarly integrate certain technologies such as smart grid and Smart grids, enabling remote communications two-way and available continuously for the collection of information. Finally give the big step towards smart, sustainable cities, and the internet of the future.   Index Terms— cities of the future, renewable energy, fossil energy sources, distributed generation (GD), internet of the future, smart grids.

In this paper, an attempt is made to answer the question: Can renewable energy sources eventually supply India’s electricity needs in the future? In particular, we examine the total potential of renewable energy sources in India and extent to which they can supply these needs. The estimates made here indicate that even with a frugal per capita electricity need of 2000 kWh/annum and a stabilized population of 1500 million by 2025, India would need to generate approximately 3000 TWh/yr. As opposed to this, a systematic analysis of the information available on all the renewable energy sources indicates that the total potential is only around 1000 TWh/yr. It is concluded that in the future as fossil fuels are exhausted, renewable sources alone will not suffice for meeting India’s needs.
