By combining the green ecological wisdom on traditional Chinese residential buildings, this paper summarized the ideas that can be used for references and applications in modern green energy-saving design. In addition, in view of the inherent shortcomings of traditional residential buildings, this paper proposed a green energy-saving design method for traditional residential buildings based on 3D modelling technology, which is complementary to the traditional ecological construction concept. Based on the establishment of a 3D building information model of traditional residential buildings, the optimal solution for the energy-saving design of green buildings is found through energy-saving adjustments to the building space structure and building spacing parameters.

According to the principles that green sports building should follow are reducing environmental load and the amount of the utilized resource and energy. It emphasizes harmoniousness of architecture and environment. Started with green buildings concept, the necessity for developing green building is analyzed and its design rules are summarized. On the basis of that, the architecture of green sports building technology is presented according to the design idea of sports building and green building,. And sustainable utilization of green sports building is explored on resource, environment, energy-saving, after-use and so on. Then green design for manufacturing is referred to. Based on life cycle, green design for sports building is pointed out. At last, by using Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method, assessment model is built and environmental performance in design phase of green sports building is assessed.

Firstly, this article induces out the theme of reforming the energy-saving of campus buildings through the current situation about huge energy consumption from campus construction. Secondly, taking the buildings of Shantou University’s “Engineering Institute, CDIO innovation center” as an example and combining BIM(Building Information Modeling) with green building come up with every green reform strategy we will use to reach the purpose that changing the current building into a kind of better building which is water-saving, electricity-saving, ventilation and heat protection. Finally, we will make a conclusion that combining BIM with green building is a good way to make a feasible design for guide construction.

At present, the construction market in the application of ecological and energy-saving technologies exist errors, green technology does not mean that the ecological high-tech and high cost. Abstract In this article the research is concentrated on defining the possibility and potentials of design to enhance the energy efficiency and refine the climate conditions in the existing residential buildings in Armenia. The digital model of existing residential building is used to calculate the annual energy consumption, by simulation software—Autodesk Green Building Student. The horizontal solar panel systems offered by local market leaders were applied to calculate the annual savings, the required installation area, prices, etc. Consequently, the actual efficiency of energy saving technological process of residential buildings in Armenia is estimated. Based on the applied strategies and obtained fact, some recommendations are made for residential buildings. This article is intended to help and to be stimulus for architects and constructors to consider and include green technologies in their new projects.

With the sustainable development strategy of our country attracting more and more attention, green projects are also designed to all kinds of industries, including construction. In the case of housing construction, the HVAC system is, to some extent, the most energy-intensive projects in the construction process. In order to meet the country’s sustainable development strategy to meet the practical require- ments of sustainable development, the need to green energy-saving environmental protection technology applied to the HVAC system, and the continuous development and popularization, from the country through the success of energy saving and envi- ronmental protection tech- nology to reduce the HVAC system of the energy con- sumption, which makes the building energy consumption to a minimum. HVAC works in the entire construction project have a pivotal role, so HVAC project green energy-saving design in the green building development indispensable. This paper explains the concept of green energy saving design of HVAC project and illustrates the key of green energy  saving  technology in HVAC design under construction industry. The paper analyzes the HVAC design of Guangzhou Library as an example.

Green residential building is energy conservation, environmental protection, healthy and comfortable and stress efficiency. Green building respects the local natural and humanities, climate. Adjust measures to local conditions, use local materials, so there is no definite construction patterns and rules. In this paper a green residential buildings from Shenyang, focus on the analysis of the well insulated building envelope, radiant floor heating system with control system, solar hot water system in the building. At the same time, analysis of the energy saving technology can reduce energy consumption and CO2 emissions compare with "Residential building energy saving design standards "at Liaoning area. The project gives some experience to other designers in the process of green buildings design and promotes it constructed in the northeastern regions.

Building energy efficiency can fundamentally promote the savings and the rational use of energy and resources, Building energy efficiency is the needs to guarantee the sustainable development of national economy. With problems in building energy efficiency as the point of penetration, this paper analyses the present situations of building energy consumption and the major energy-saving issues in China. On the basis, in order to promote the green building of sustainable development, from thinking, evaluation system, design and other aspects some suggestions and measures are proposed .

Building energy renovations can effectively improve the environmental performance and energy sustainability of existing buildings. From 2007 onwards, the Chinese government has promoted energy-saving renovations of existing urban residential buildings. Nevertheless, various quality failures happen during the construction period in energy-saving renovation projects of residential buildings. Yet, the causes and their characters remain largely unknown. Through a literature review, this paper investigates the causes of quality failures. Validated through experts’ interviews, a total of 18 causes were identified in building energy renovation projects. These causes were analyzed from two main aspects: the importance of a cause (related to impact and frequency), and the level of effort required to address a cause (related to origin and scale), using both a questionnaire survey and a focus group. The results indicate that the critical causes of quality failures are working under high-cost and high-time pressure, adverse natural conditions, fraud of construction companies, incomplete construction site survey, poor checking procedures of supervisors, poor operational skilled workers, inadequate equipment performance, lack of experienced project managers, and incomplete building information in projects. The causes were classified as external and internal causes of building energy renovation projects. The outcome of this paper should aid policy makers and project coordinators to focus on critical causes of quality failures, and to develop effective actions and policy interventions to achieve successful renovation projects with high-quality performance.
