Background: Today internet is reaching every corner of the world. This has created increase in games who play games online. Cases of suicide attempts, suicide death, self-harm allegedly have been reported from all parts of India. To estimate the prevalence of internet gaming disorder (IGD) among engineering students of engineering institute of Belagavi city. Methods: 262 engineering students of studying in Engineering Institute of Belagavi city were enrolled. Information on socio-demographic was collected by using questionnaire IGD-20 and DSM-5 IGD-9 standard tools were used to estimate IGD prevalence. Data were analysed using statistical package for the social sciences (SPSS) software. Results: Out of 262 participants, 77.9% were male and 22.1% were female. Prevalence of internet gaming disorder was 9.1% among engineering students. Conclusions: Prevalence of internet gaming disorder was high majority were male. Prevalence of IGD was higher among youths and those students spent 3-4-hour daily in gaming.

Currently, a number of educational organizations in Russia and abroad, including the National Research University “Moscow Power Engineering Institute” (MPEI), are introducing the European improvement model EFQM, designed to analyze and improve the educational, scientific and other activities of the departments. In accordance with this model, each university department is assigned a score equal to the sum of points for two groups of criteria: criteria from the group of opportunities and criteria from the group of results. To obtain such assessments, a commission consisting of external experts, EFQM assessors and university staff meets with heads of departments. Based on the results of the discussion of the results of the meetings, the commission determines the score and rating of the departments in accordance with the EFQM model. The purpose of the work presented in the article is to study the possibility of using machine learning to simplify the work of experts in terms of obtaining estimates according to criteria from a group of results. The article proposes a system for evaluating the activities of departments according to criteria from a group of results based on machine learning. A program in the Python programming language has been developed, which evaluates the activities of departments according to these criteria for each department of the MPEI. The program receives the initial data for such assessments from the monitoring system of key performance indicators implemented in MPEI.

The conference “Optical Methods of Flow Investigation” (OMFI) has been regularly held since 1989 at intervals of 2 years. The All-Union Seminar was held in 1989, I and II All-Union Conferences (founder – Institute of Thermal Physics of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences) was held in 1991 and 1993. Since 1995, conferences have been held at the Moscow Power Engineering Institute (MPEI) under the auspices of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation, the co-founders were MPEI and the Institute of Thermophysics of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Since 2019 Scientific and Technological Center of Unique Instrumentation of the Russian Academy of Sciences has also become a co-organizer of the conference. This issue of the Journal is devoted to research and studies presented at the XVI International Scientific and Technical Conference “Optical Methods of Flow Investigation” (OMFI-2021). The conference was held in Moscow Power Engineering Institute, Moscow, Russia, on 28 June – 02 July 2021. The National Research University “Moscow Power Engineering Institute” is one of the leading technical universities in Russia having about 15,000 students from more than 60 countries. MPEI is one of the largest technical universities in Russia. It provides the specialist’s training and scientific research in the field of energy, electrical engineering, radio electronics, computer engineering. The conference brought together experts from different organizations to initiate discussions on topics that are of interest to the conference attendees. The conference papers presented in the following areas: laser anemometry, flow visualization, development of quantum-optical devices, computer methods of signal and image processing, laser and optical interferometry, application of optical methods, acousto-optics and optoacoustic, optical methods in biomedicine and ecology, also included papers of the Youth workshop «Modern Methods of Flow Investigation – 2021». List of Organizing and program committees of the conference are available in this pdf.

This work describes an analysis of the implementation of quality methodologies that generated an improvement in the research, development and teaching activities of the Engineering Institute of Autonomous University of Baja California (EI-AUBC), located in the city of Mexicali. These methodologies are widely used in the industrial sector to prevent accidents, reduce waste, and eliminate rework and to training of workers in any area in the industries. Only that its applications are very little known in the Laboratories of Higher Education Institutions (LHEI) of the Mexican Republic. With this scientific study the results of the investigation activities were more reliability to be take adequate decisions and were made functions with more security taking care of health of researchers and students. The investigation was made in 2019.

Background: Skin conditions have multiple causes. Natural phages in the Ganga River have bactericidal qualities against a number of bacterial infections, which help resolve skin conditions. Materials and Methods: We collected water from upper reaches of the Ganga River where the number of isolates of phages was more than 200 according to a study of the National Environmental Engineering Institute, Nagpur. The water was collected in May 2020 before the onset of monsoons and stored with sediments so that the phages adsorbed in the sediments cleaned up the overlaying column of water of all coliforms. We supplied the water by post to a number of volunteers who took the water through oral, topical or nasal route as per their convenience. Thirty-nine of the 52 volunteers provided data by telephone on their skin conditions on which this study is based. Results: The results show that an improvement of 1.7 on Likert Scale of 1-10 is obtained on skin conditions as per assessment of the volunteers after a treatment of 100 days. Further improvement of 1.0 on Likert Scale was reported after 85 days of stoppage of treatment. Conclusions: Natural phages of Ganga river could provide an inexpensive treatment not only for skin conditions but other comorbidities as well because skin conditions have multiple causes and phages of Ganga water may work at multiple levels.

The article presents measures to reduce the negative impact of electromagnetic fields emanating from cell phones on the human organism. The topic of the work is relevant, since at present the role of mobile devices in the life of the modern person is rapidly increasing. The analysis of the measured electromagnetic field levels of the telephones of various brands in the "standby" and "ringing" modes was carried out. Poll that was conducted among students of the Azov-Black Sea Engineering Institute on the usage of mobile devices was also analyzed. Keywords: ELECTROMAGNETIC FIELD, MOBILE PHONE, NEGATIVE EFFECT, MEASUREMENT, POLL
