Regional comprehensive energy is the focus of current research, and electric vehicles are an important part of regional energy. The orderly participation of regional EV groups in demand response for optimal scheduling of charge and discharge can not only save the charging cost of EV owners, but also smooth the load fluctuation caused by EV charging. In this paper, an Integrated Energy Electric Vehicle Scheduling Model Based on Prospect Theory is proposed. Firstly, the optimal charging and discharging strategy of each Electric Vehicle is obtained Based on the price demand response Model. Secondly, a decision-making method of participation willingness based on the prospect theory is proposed to consider the risk bias of EV owners. Finally, a case study is provided to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method. Compared with electric vehicles participating in random charging, the optimization model proposed in this paper reduces the cost by 32% and the average hourly load by 67%.

The basic characteristics of electric vehicles are important basis for studying the behavior of electric vehicles. According to the basic characteristics of electric vehicles, this paper establishes an electric vehicle convergence model and its control strategy with demand-side response. Taking into account the demand for electric vehicles, electric vehicle aggregators and power companies, reducing the cost of control, while reducing the impact on electric vehicles. Based on the real-time state of charge, the conditions of electric vehicle in the network and other factors to build the assessment model of the scheduling potential, and then put forward the demand response indicators of electric vehicles, and give the corresponding aggregation strategy. considering the multiple constraints , such as the cost constraints of electric vehicles participating in grid regulation, the charging requirements of electric vehicle owners, and the battery consumption of electric vehicles, a control strategy model is proposed for electric vehicles participating in demand response of power systems. The simulation test shows that the aggregation strategy can not only meet the travel needs of electric vehicle owners, but also reduce the impact on the electric vehicle caused by frequent switching of charge and discharge status. In addition, it can also reduce the cost of grid regulation.

As an important part of energy Internet carrier, demand side resources can participate in many interactions with power grid. In order to reduce the peak to valley load difference of power grid, from the perspective of tapping the combined peak shaving potential of air conditioning load and electric vehicles, guided by TOU price and direct load control, this paper proposes an optimal scheduling model with the minimum load difference and the maximum total revenue of users as the objective function. The results show that the joint optimal scheduling strategy can reduce the peak load and eliminate the “secondary peak load” caused by disorderly charging of electric vehicles.

This paper proposes a new optimal operation of Microgrids (MGs) in a distribution system with wind energy generators (WEGs), solar photovoltaic (PV) energy systems, battery energy storage (BES) systems, electric vehicles (EVs) and demand response (DR). To reduce the fluctuations of wind, solar PV powers and load demands, the BES systems and DR are utilized in the proposed hybrid system. The detailed modeling of WEGs, solar PV units, load demands, BES systems and EVs has been presented in this paper. The objective considered here is the minimization of total operating cost of microgrid, and it is formulated by considering the cost of power exchange between the main power grid and microgrid, cost of wind and solar PV energy systems, cost of BES systems, EVs and the cost due to the DR in the system. Simulations are performed on a test microgrid, and they are implemented using GAMS software. Various case studies are performed with and without considering the proposed hybrid system.

With the rising demand for electric vehicles (EVs), it is also becoming increasingly important for policymakers to devise measures on how best to handle spent EV batteries. Policymakers need to devise a system that ensures the economic efficiency of recycling used EV batteries, and support the effective operation of such a system with legal and policy measures. This study aims to present, in a systematic manner, the policy measures needed to foster an environment that actively makes use of spent EV batteries, based on a review of Korean practices and experiences. Based on in-depth interviews with experts, this study explains why the policy measures it recommends are essential, what obstacles stand in the way of implementing those measures and how we may overcome them, as well as other factors we should consider when implementing these measures. As a result, we identified top-priority policy tasks, such as defining regulatory provisions that apply to each stage using spent batteries, as well as clarifying the cost- and profit-sharing structure. We also explored potential and major obstacles and factors that may stand in the way of the implementation of recommended policy measures.

Connecting large numbers of electric vehicles to the power grid creates challenges for the operation of the power distribution network, but also provides a new method for supporting grid operation. This paper considers the trip patterns of electric vehicle users in China, including their trip starting time, traffic congestion, vehicle energy consumption, and other factors. We develop a charging–discharging operation strategy for electric vehicles in different functional areas with the goal of minimizing the cost of distribution network, which considers the distribution patterns of electric vehicles in different functional areas. As different types of cities in China have different proportions of electric vehicle users who follow different travel chains, we provide multiple examples showing the effectiveness of our proposed V2G method in different cities.

With the implementation of the carbon neutral policy, the number of electric vehicles (EVs) is increasing. Thus, it is urgently needed to manage the charging and discharging behavior of EVs scientifically. In this paper, EVs are regarded as agents, and a multiagent cooperative optimization scheduling model based on Roth–Erev (RE) algorithm is proposed. The charging and discharging behaviors of EVs will influence each other. The charging and discharging strategy of one EV owner will affect the choice of others. Therefore, the RE algorithm is selected to obtain the optimal charging and discharging strategy of the EV group, with the utility function of the prospect theory proposed to describe EV owners’ different risk preferences. The utility function of the prospect theory has superior effectiveness in describing consumers’ utility. Finally, in the case of residential electricity, the effectiveness of the proposed method is verified. Compared with that of random charging, this method reduces the total EV group cost of EVs by 52.4%, with the load variance reduced by 26.4%.

Inverter air conditioners (IACs) have gradually become the mainstream of resident air-conditioning equipment. Similar to traditional fixed-frequency air conditioners, IACs have the potential for demand response and load scheduling. However, the uncertainty of IACs is nonnegligible in generation-load scheduling. In this paper, the uncertain demand-response cost of IACs is studied for the first time. Meanwhile, based on the cost, a generation-load coordinative day-ahead scheduling model is proposed. In the scheduling, an IACs aggregator and traditional generators are coordinately dispatched to minimize the expected scheduling cost of the power system. The case study shows that the coordinative scheduling model can reduce the scheduling cost of the power system and encourage the IACs aggregator to improve their responsiveness or reduce their uncertainty, so as to improve the economy and reliability of power scheduling.

The electrification of transport in Europe is in the early stages of a market transformation that has the potential to significantly cut emissions in both the transportation and energy sectors, while generating wider benefits for society. The research underpinning this study finds that the greatest value from integrating electric vehicles (EVs) into the power grid can be generated by charging them when and where it is most beneficial for the power system, while ensuring consumers’ mobility needs are met at an affordable cost. An emerging body of research on electric vehicle grid integration focuses on modeling the cost of integration under various scenarios, but few studies look at the existing promising practices that are based on policy tools in use today. The authors of this study conducted a qualitative review of policies for EV grid integration in the EU and U.S. markets. We found that, in order to unlock the environmental and economic opportunities associated with market uptake, three policy strategies are most effective: costreflective pricing, intelligent technology, and integrated infrastructure planning. The study also explores the implications of these practices for policymakers and regulators in the EU.
